Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra - Long Term Review After 1 Year - Was It a Mistake? By sakitech

Hey guys sock here from sake ticket in today's video. We are going to be talking about the Samsung Galaxy note, 20, ultra, which I have over here in white color. Now this phone might be the last of its kind. Okay, they are not releasing a Samsung Galaxy note 21 ultra in 2021. So this is the latest note model that we have and in this video I want to do a long term review of this fantastic phone. When it first came out, I used it as my daily driver for a solid six months before I switched to the s21 ultra, but of course, in this video I want to review this phone and give you my impressions of being a heavy-duty user.

So, let's dive in and get started. The first thing I do want to talk about is going to be about the design of this product. The most striking feature of this phone is its special, unique design. I'm talking about that boxy design that professional look as opposed to the rounded corners we found on the other Samsung phones. So, even when you look at the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra, I think from the front, the design of this phone is in fact superior to any other Samsung phone or any other phone on the market that has rounded corners.

It's got thin, bezels, boxy, design, professional, look, looks spotless and super futuristic and by the way I do want to let you know you might hear a little sound in the background. The ac is running it's very hot in here, so I had to turn the ac on. It should be a slight inconvenience. I do want to apologize for that, but let's move on so great design, unique, boxy, professional design, that's one of its most striking features. Number two.

I want to talk about the s-pen okay. Now like I said this could be the last of its kind. That means it could be the last phone with the s pen having an actual house in the chassis of the smartphone. Now, as you know, Samsung is moving forward with making more phones are compatible with the s pen, for example, the s21 ultra is now compatible with the s-pen. You can buy the s-pen separately and then the problem is.

You also have to buy a case that adds additional bulk to the s21 ultra. Just so, you can house the s pen on the go, and sometimes if the case gets too bulky, and you change the case to a normal case- you're not going to get the s pen, you can still have it in your pocket, but it's simply not the same as having the s pen in the chassis at all times available anytime. You might need it and, as you know, the s-pen is quite a powerful tool to sketch to take notes on the go if you're an artist you can draw with this thing, with high precision and, of course note-taking for students in a classroom or even if you are a journalist. This is a great tool. If you're on the go, you want to jot a quick note down.

This is the way to go if you are into handwriting as if you were writing on a piece of paper. So only the note 20 and the previous versions have the special appeal of having the s pen. Whenever you need it, it just feels like a more complete product. It is a unique product, one of its kind. Nobody has a stylus compatible with their smartphone.

That works this well and remember. You can use that stylus as a remote control to control your device. You can remotely take photos, you can do PowerPoint presentations, it is a tool. So that's number two, that's something that I've been that I have used with the note 20 as I was using it as my daily driver uh every day. So, let's move on the next thing I want to talk about is the actual display.

It is gorgeous. Of course, it is 120 hertz display it is super bright and again going back to that. Boxy design gives this phone a feel of a high definition TV. Now, if I were to take a photo, here's a photo of my high definition, TV sitting in my living room, a video I mean you can see that boxy corners, so this phone, basically when you're watching a movie on it in landscape orientation, with that boxy design, makes me feel like I'm watching a high definition TV, and it is in fact high definition uh. It is quad HD plus it is 120 hertz, it's bright, it's vibrant, and it's vivid one of the best displays on the market.

There 's's really a few phones that can match it. One of them is the s21 ultra and I think that's the only phone the iPhone has a great display still does not match these Samsung displays, especially with that boxy design. It is simply a better experience watching movies on it, at least for me. I would rather have this design on the s21 ultra this boxy design. This boxy display, as opposed to those rounded corners, but again just the display itself is stunning uh in my use.

I still use this phone all the time to shoot videos about it, and it hasn't lost any quality. There's no discoloring, there's no dead, pixels and, of course, because it is gorilla glass, there is barely any scratches, maybe just a couple tiny scratches from uh keys in my pocket just hitting the screen some something I have to work on, but I keep forgetting. But that's it that's the display stunning display uh. The next thing I want to talk about is the battery life. It's a very important thing for a lot of people, so the battery life on this phone has been amazing through and through every single day.

When I charge this phone- and let's say I charge in the beginning of the day- which I do many times- I work from home, so I can charge the phone and then, if I leave the home to do something, and I'm out for that whole day, I can come back at night and I still have 20 30 battery and I use the phone all the time phone calls messages. Uh checking up on my work, watching some YouTube videos. I don't play games, but I do watch an equal amount of uh YouTube videos, so the battery life on this phone is absolutely fantastic. Now, when it comes to the charging speed, it is good, but I'll let you know there are some phones on the market that do have better charging speeds. So one example is the ZTE axon ultra 30.

Another example is the one plus phones. They have faster charging, especially the latest models. Uh, that's that's something. Samsung has to work on the charging speeds, but still you can get a full charge for this large battery from zero to a hundred approximately a little above an hour, so nothing to scoff at, but not as fast as those phones that can achieve it in 40 minutes 45 minutes. But you have to keep in mind.

Those phones sacrifice many other features because they focus on the charging speed. This phone doesn't sacrifice anything. It is like a complete package. It's got everything just about everything. Just a couple missing things like a headphone jack or whatever another great thing that is kind of disappearing.

Now is this phone? Has a micro, SD expansion, you can add up to 512 gigabytes of or up to one terabyte of extra storage. If you need it, and I'll, let you know I took so many videos and photos on this phone and I still take it on my s: 21, ultra that that memory that it comes with the 512 or 256 the base storage fills up quickly. So the micros expansion is actually a very good option still to have on these phones and this phone has it now. The final thing I want to talk about in relation to this phone is the camera. It's an amazing camera, highly versatile.

You have the ultra-wide, which is one of my favorite lenses. You've got the standard camera, and you also have telephoto camera that can give you 10 times optical zoom, so you can zoom in 10 times on a subject, and you still retain some great quality. I'm sorry, I said 10 times it is actually five times optical zoom and then what you can do is you can go up to 50 times, combined zoom, so that's five times optical times, 10 times digital. So that's 50 times zoom, so I'm not a big fan of that because, as you get closer to a subject with 50 times, because there's digital processing, you are losing quality, but that five times optical zoom is crystal clear, very useful feature so highly versatile camera, a bright, vibrant, crisp and clear photos with great HDR high dynamic range, and then you have that amazing video quality and video stabilization that is again unmatched by many other phones. There's only a few phones in the market that lead the pack when it comes to camera quality.

The Samsung note is one of those guys. S21 is another one. iPhone is another one but other than those three, I'm not really uh aware of any flagship level. Cameras of this caliber are perfected to such a high degree. Okay, so versatile crisp camera with extreme options.

Optical zoom, three cameras, 8k recording whatever you need this phone's got when it comes to camera, you'll not be disappointed with the camera. So that's basically what I want to talk about the design, the s pen, the display the battery life and camera. Those have been some highlights of this phone. For me, it really is hard to find anything bad to say about the note 20 ultra. It is such a complete superior package even worth it today, even though it doesn't have the latest processor on the market.

It is still fast. Furthermore, it's still snappy, there's no lag. There's not going to be any lag on this phone for many years to come. It's also going to get updates for years to come three to four years of updates, guaranteed on this phone security updates software updates uh, you name it. So if you have this phone, it's a great product to keep uh.

If you're in the market to buy it, you can do so. I do recommend not paying a full price, buy it if you can get at least a three to four hundred dollar discount, because it is an expensive phone, and you are not getting the latest processor, but everything else on this phone is simply flagship level.
