To unhide the battery percentage indicator, is to open up your control center, which means swipe down from the top-right corner of iPhone 12. And you can see the battery percentage alongside the battery icon automatically. Pretty cool and very easy. But if you want to keep the percentage any time in your eyes, you can use the Widget, which is the new feature in iOS 14. Just long-press the icon on the home screen, and tap the plus button on the upper left corner.

Here you can find the battery widget, which has three different sizes. Pick one you like and drag it to the home screen. Then you can view the percentage of your iPhone 12 at any time. If you want to remove it, just long-press the widget, and tap remove. The third method is quite funny.
