Xiaomi Redmi 9 Review - Before you buy!

Here, which means the Xiaomi Redmi nine. You are looking at what is possibly the best android phone. You can purchase right now under 70, 000 era or 175, and it possibly has what it takes to compete with force well above this price range, or does it well, let's find out what is up guys. My name is Izzy and welcome to my channel. So Xiaomi is known for their budget friendly devices with perfect specifications and the Redmi 9 doesn't fall short in this aspect for 175 dollars. You are getting a device with really nice design.1080P display a good MediaTek, hello g80 processor, amongst other features. So in this review it's going to be detailed, and we're going to be finding out if it is that good or if it actually has what it takes to copy with the likes of the infinite note 7 or even the Samsung Galaxy a21s before we dive further into this video, if you have not subscribed already to this channel, please click on that subscribe button and turn on post notifications.

We are very close to 5 000 subscribers. So, let's get right into the video starting with what comes in the box of the Redmi 9. When you purchase the Xiaomi Redmi 9, you get the regular items and accessories you expect from a new device except earphones. You get the device itself, a user guide, a warranty card, an USB type-c cable and it inwards fast charger and a CPU protective casing. The Redmi 9 is an interesting device with a really nice design.

It is built of plastic, though, on the display we have gorilla glass, 3 protection, the plastic on the back. Has this radial pattern, which has a very nice feel to it. Now the display has a water drop notch which looks like something out of 2019 these days we have whole punch displays, but we don't have that with the Redmi 9. It is a 6.5 inches device which doesn't really feel too big, and it is okay for one handed operation. As for button and posts to the right side of the phone, we have your volume, rocker and power keys to the bottom of the phone.

We have a speaker, grille, USB-C, port noise, cancelling microphone and a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack and at the top of the phone we have a noise-cancelling microphone and the signature IR blaster on the left side of the phone. We have your dual NATO sim card tray with support for micro SD card. As for the build quality of the Xiaomi Redmi, nine I'll see it's pretty compact, and it is convenient for one handed operation if you have big hands but most convenient with two hands now, while the device has gone like last three on the display and plastic on the back, I really wouldn't use this guy without a protective casing, because if you drop it, you may end up damaging the plastic to some extent, I dropped it while filming- and this was the result, so you definitely want to use this guy with the protective casing that comes in the box or at least get something else for protection. Now, let's have a quick look at the specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi 9. This device has some pretty interesting specifications with the most interesting being the use of a MediaTek hello g80 processor, which is quite an interesting processor when it comes to performance.

The version I have here has 4 gigs of ram and 64 gigs of storage. The Xiaomi Redmi 9 has a perfect display at 1080p resolution and 395 pixels per inch. It's an IPS LCD panel, and I'd like to see it as an advantage over most devices at this price point you'll barely find a device at this price point with 1080p display, but Redmi 9 offers that, so that's an advantage now. One concern I have with the Redmi noise display is the brightness levels, it's okay for indoor use, but when you go outside under really bright conditions, the display just doesn't get bright enough. So you have to keep that in mind, while using the Redmi 9 outdoors, the fingerprint scanner on the Redmi 9 is placed on the back of the device directly under the camera modules, and it's very responsive when it comes to unlocking the device during my usage so far, I did not experience any hassles with it.

It unlocks the device pretty fast for day-to-day usage and overall user experience. I'd say the Redmi 9 lives up to expectations. It is going to run whatever apps you throw at it successfully without any concerns. The Redmi 9 runs on android, 10 and mini 11 right out of the box from September. We should expect mini 12 updates.

The Redmi 9 has impressive benchmarks: cost thanks to its MediaTek hello g80 processor, which places it slightly on power or above the infinite note 7, which has a g70 processor. I'm sure you'd like to see a comparison between these devices and see which one does better so make sure you're subscribed to the channel. So you see when I post that comparison gaming on Redmi 9 is decent, and you should have no issues on my usage so far. I use it for gaming and I really didn't have any concerns asphalt.9 worked just fine with no lags. PUBG, however, also ran just fine, but it is on default, medium, graphics and medium frame rates.

It can go up to HD, but I think for the best experience you leave it at medium graphics. The battery life of the Redmi 9 is also very impressive. It's a 5 000 William hour battery that can last you over a day on a full charge and on average use even up to heavy use. You can get a full day out of this device. It also has 18 watts fast charger that can power it up from 0 to 100 under 2 hours.

Should you need to boost it up? The Redmi 9 has decent camera specifications with an 8, megapixel selfie camera and a quad camera setup on the rear, which houses, a 13, megapixel main camera, an 8 megapixel ultra-wide 5, megapixel micro, camera and 2 megapixel depth sensor. The rear cameras of the Redmi 9 takes really decent photos with great dynamic range and good color reproduction, as you can see from the photos I have taken here. Do let me know what you think about these photos. Portrait shots also do really well with good edge detection. You don't need to detect a face to be able to take portrait shots of a subject.

The micro camera also takes really decent close-up shots. This is not the best I've seen but for a device at this price point I'll see it really decent in low light conditions. The camera does descent, though I'm not going to use this for nighttime photography as it doesn't have that feature selfies from the Redmi. Nine are also decent as long as you have good lighting conditions. As for the video capabilities of this device, we have 1080p recording at 30 frames per second on the front and rear cameras, no image stabilization.

This is the selfie camera of the Redmi nine. It can only do 1080p 30 fps from the front and rear cameras, so that is the Xiaomi Redmi 9. What do I think about this device? I think it's a great device and at its price point it offers great value. There are very few phones out there right now that offer the specifications that the Redmi 9 is offering and for 175 dollars. You are getting a 1080p display great battery life, fast charging decent camera specifications, amongst other features which we already covered in this review.

If you want to see a comparison between the Redmi 9 and the infinite note 7, which has very similar specifications, please make sure you are subscribed to the channel, and you have post notifications turned on, so you get notified when I post that new video don't forget to hit the thumbs up. If you like this video, and I'm going to catch you in the next one peace, I tested two games with it, and it ran just fine as far 9 ran quite well without any lags gaming on the Redmi nine. Oh, I should have scripted.
