Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Night Mode Destroys Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Night Mode

Hey guys Aaron here for the love of tech, and today I want to show you a feature, a feature that you can find on: most modern, updated smartphones, budget, low, end high-end flagship alike. That feature is night to mode and on some devices it's known as night sight today, we're looking at the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe versus the Samsung Galaxy note, 20 ultra. For the sake of this video, I am showing you some selfie front facing video goodness so throughout the clip here or there. My wonderful editor Zach is going to work super hard to make sure that randomly throughout this video you're going to see footage of me in the Samsung Galaxy Fe, front-facing, video 4k and the Samsung Galaxy note 20 ultra 4k, now that we got the specs out of the way, let's go ahead and take a look at some photos. So what we are looking at right here is a shot at a park bench more like a table, not a bench just hanging out late last night about 8 30, that's crazy late for me to be out of my house at 8 30. There is my opinion.

No difference between the Fe or the note 20 ultra, none at all, there's nothing to talk about here. One thing that we can't talk about is the Fe starts at 6.99. I got mine for 5.99, and I think I ended up paying 249 with all my discounts and coupons. So I was pretty happy about that, but my note 20 ultra whew, it's the ultra device. It cost like 1299 bucks, so that was an expensive little guy.

However, is there a difference? Is it worth it? Do you pay 12.99 to get all those extra goodies and features, and s pens and giant screen, or is the Samsung Galaxy Fe at 6.99 enough anyways? Let's go ahead and move on, so now we're at the exact same location we were before, and we activate night sight. You can see from the very beginning that these photos are similar, however, not identical. I want to draw your attention to the glow around the light. The color difference between these two is astonishing. What we actually have going on is the Fe has more of a bluer tint to it, whereas the ultra has more of a lighter warmer tone.

So I double-checked my settings. I don't have like more coolness or warmness settings, because that's one of Samsung's features that they're kicking out these days, so I was really impressed how the Fe, actually my opinion, looked better than the double the price big brother note, 20 ultra. So now we're going to go ahead and look at the same exact photo. Except now, I have activated three times zoom. That is correct.

Three times, Zoom has been activated. What we have going on is a trash. Can that's right. I took a picture of a trash can and a lovely little couple which one do you like the Fe or the note 20 ultra. You know here I am looking at these again and I have to say if I had to pick it does appear at this distance that the note did a really, really good job with the greens closer, but often the distance I feel like the trash can on the Fe, looks a little better.

Looks a little clearer, a little more defined edges, which is what we're going for moving on to picture 4, activating 10 times zoom in night mode. This is the best I can get in both devices. I think the ultra can go up to 30 times zoom or maybe even 50 times zoom. I can't remember off the top of my head, I'm in the middle of using the phone to record a side camera. So I can't look, but now we're just looking at 10 times zoom, and I'm sorry, the Fe kind of went a little crooked, my bad, but which one looks better.

I'm going to have to go ahead and say that the Fe actually my opinion, it looks like a pretty solid shot. It's pretty clear. I, like the green in the note 20 ultra better. I'm not really to sure. If I feel there's like a standout winner between these two there's definitely differences but head down to the comments and tell me which one out of picture number four ten times zoom the trash can do.

You think looks better ten times zoom trash can, which one do you think, looks better going out to the comments. Let's talk about it, okay, so in this photo, I want to talk about the exposure length. So part of getting a good night shot is getting a proper exposure length, a longer exposure. What that means is the lens is going to stay open and bring in light longer. The software is going to interpret that information and create us a night shot.

So here the ultra gave me a 20 times zoom. However, the Fe ended up giving me a 14-second zoom. So I also took this little video here, so you can go ahead and actually see it in action for yourself, the time it takes for the Fe to process a nighttime photo versus the time it takes for a note to 20 ultra to process a nighttime photo. The point of this is that the note 20 ultra is definitely showing its power in the processing, so we're looking at kind of under the hood type of stuff, whereas the Fe more of a mid-range budget friendly device takes a little longer to process that nighttime image. So if that's important to you, that's something to think about when you're dealing with the Fe.

That needs some time to process the image or do I want the note 20 ultra, that has the image readily available when I need it. So here we are taking front facing selfie now looking at it, I don't really think it looks that great, I don't think there's a winner one over the other. I will have to say now that I have these blown up on the big screen. The big screen, the computer, the ultra definitely looks better, there's more defined features if you will, but there's also a little more light coming through one of my shoulders, so that might have played a role. So I'm not going to discount that, so now we're going to go ahead and take a look at another selfie.

This time. I've gone out of my way to make sure that any light in the equation is behind my head as good as possible. Hopefully you appreciate my framing, and you see both of them did a really, really good job. The note 20 ultra definitely illuminated my face a little better. However, the Fe did a phenomenal job.

I think I'm in love with this camera. So now we're going to go ahead and look at the same exact photo except all I did is I activated wide angle. So now you can see how much more of the image that it brings in. So one thing that I do want to bring up is when it comes to the wide angle. Its this is the same camera guys it.

It is when it comes to the selfie, there's nothing different anywhere. Furthermore, it's the same. You're going to get the same experience, so don't think one device is lacking in the other, and that's the amazing thing about the Samsung Galaxy s20, Fe, 5g edition it's so many words and adjectives is that you are not sacrificing camera, and we're seeing that here, just by getting down to the nighttime mode type of features and what it can actually do. If I have to pick which one I like more, it's going to be the Fe. I'm sorry, I have a love and a bias towards the note to 20 ultra.

I love that device, but I have to be honest. With myself the budget phone's giving me a better picture. Samsung is really starting to nail the low light nighttime, still some room for improvement, which is what brings us to a product shop. So here are my Galaxy Buds live. I call them my beans and what you can actually see ultra did a way better job than the Fe.

I'm sorry. Furthermore, I took this picture twice. This is what we got guys. So here is a nighttime shot of a street that you've probably seen several times in several of my comparison. Videos.

Both of these, let's just say identical, I don't see a difference anywhere. I don't think that there is a difference. They took the same exact photos from the same exact location, probably from the same exact lens, but now when we have night mode activated, we start to see things a little differently. Take your eyes to the clouds. Look at those clouds behind the tree, there's a very distinctive difference, my opinion to the quality and the detail of the clouds versus the Fe and the ultra, which one of these do I like better.

I actually think the Fe gave me a better picture most of the time. I want to side with the note, but if I have to look and say which of these devices is like my forever device and my forever camera on my phone, I might say I'm going to go with the Fe, even though the note 20 ultra has more features and gimmicks and processing power. The Effie has given me a solid photo in some of these tough shots onto the backyard shop. This is the infamous lamp pole off in the distance of my backyard same picture nighttime. No, software no activation, no processing power, nothing! Now we're going to go ahead and activate the night mode on both devices.

Let's go ahead and take a zoom and let's look at the lamp post, because you know I always like to look at the lamp post, and one thing that I want to bring to your attention right away. Is light pollution streaks coming from that lamppost the note 20 ultra processed that right out like it was never even there. The Fe gave us some boohoo streaks that nobody really wants. So if we're looking at it overall, I think they both look very, very similar. However, once I get in, and I get a little more granular, if you will then I have to say it goes to the Samsung Galaxy note, 20 ultra hands down, that is it for the camera comparison today guys.

I wanted to go ahead and just take this feature and put it up against a device- that's literally twice as expensive as its predecessor. So I think I've left you something to think about. I think I've, given you something to consider so, if you're out there- and you are that consumer- that individual- that gift, giver, and you're thinking to yourself, which one of these devices do, I get if you're the type of person that needs the latest and greatest the biggest and baddest, and just like the powerhouse user, go with the Samsung Galaxy note 20 ultra. However, if you are the average user, if you're somebody that enjoys a smaller device and doesn't have the need to have the biggest and greatest of everything, and you don't need all the features that you may or may not use, but you just want to have them as an option in case. Maybe one day you do need an s pen then just go with the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe 5g, both of these devices are 5g.

Both of these devices have the same user interface. Both of these devices are absolutely amazing. You cannot go wrong. Save yourself, like 600 bucks, Samsung Galaxy Fe definitely has my boat. The note 20 ultra is still an amazing device.

If you want to pay 1299 bucks guys thanks for watching the video like comment subscribe, all that algorithmic goodness don't forget if you really like the video share, my content with your friends and family on social media and pay me the ultimate creator, compliment till next time for the love of tech, namaste,.
