Xperia 5. Mark ii is Sony's flagship right now that tries to emulate the professional camera in manual mode, while Google Pixel 5 is my daily driver because of it's awesome, camera and video capabilities, we will compare both photos and videos and see what the difference are and who's better. This is JD your gadget review friend today we're going to have a camera comparison between pixel, 5 and Xperia 5 mark ii on our first test, the audio both of them produces great quality audio, but pixel 5 is a little louder than Xperia 5 mark ii, so pixel 5 is the winner. Here. On our first image, we took a shot over 3 and the sky, and I thought that pixel 5 will come out as the winner here, as Xperia tends to produce a neutral and flat profile on this shot. Xperia 5 mark 2 actually rendered the greens and the blues better. So Xperia 5 is the winner here on our next shot.

We took a photo of our deck light and both phones produces great images. Pixel 5 is sharper and lighter compared to Xperia 5 mark 2's, dramatic, look if we zoom in, I think pixel 5 was a slight advantage because of the sharpness, so pixel 5 is the winner. Here. Next is shadows and flaring on this photo, I was able to test two things. First is the shadow.

I think both phones did a great job of exposing the darker area of the bob, but the second test, which is flaring it's a little harsh on Xperia 5, mark 2, so pixel 5, is the winner here. Next is portrait shots if you will buy one of these phones and your primary concern is how you would look. I can happily say that you would love any of these phones as they render great looking portrait shots. Pixel 5 is a little sharper, while Xperia 5 mark ii produces a lighter skin tone. It's a tie for me next.

I took a photo of our centerpiece to see which phone is sharper and on this test I think both are packed sharp in the middle. If we zoom in both phones are almost identical. It's just that Xperia 5 mark ii is crushing the blacks a little, but it's all good. It's a tie for me on this next shot. I took a photo of our living room and two things I noticed.

First pixel 5 is warmer. If you look at the white wall and also pixel 5 exposes the floors better than Xperia 5 mark ii, so pixel 5 is the winner here. Next is text sharpness and both did a great job on this pixel 5 is applying a little of sharpening while Xperia 5 mark 2 is all natural. So it's a tie for me. Next is low light performance.

I was able to figure out that in auto mode, Xperia 5 will detect the scene. Xperia 5, mark 2, decreases or lengthen the shutter speed, and I think it allowed two seconds on this shot, not enough, though, as pixel 5 took longer. I think it exposes the scene closer to 4 seconds. That's why it's brighter so pixel 5 is the winner here. Next is extreme dark conditions.

This is a part in our basement, where I cannot see anything, but both phones can see in the dark again same story: pixel 5 exposes the scene longer in auto mode, so it's brighter, so pixel 5 is the winner. Here. Next is versatility. Both phones have regular wide and ultra-wide shots, but only sphere 5 mark 2 has dedicated zoom lens. It is closer and takes better photos than pixel 5's digital cropping, so Xperia 5 is more versatile right now we're walking, and you would see the stabilization, and now we're running, and we're walking again, and we're running on video stabilization.

We will all agree that pixel 5 has better stabilization than Xperia 5 mark ii and, what's more impressive, is active mode is still turned off. So imagine if I turned it on pixel 5 is the winner here. Next is autofocus and lighting variation. Both has excellent autofocus in video recording, but pixel 5 was able to manage and adjust faster. The lighting variation, as you can see here, pixel 5, is the winner here.

So what is gadget? Rev now's verdict? I think both phones did an amazing job in auto mode. Of course, as we all know, Xperia 5, mark 2 is better in manual mode, but was able to deliver and render better photos on trees and skies and produce a lighter skin tone in portrait shots while pixel 5 is sharper better in managing flair, better in low light and extreme dark conditions and better in audio video, stabilization and lighting variation. So, on this gadget, revenues camera comparison, video, the winner, is pixel 5 for two reasons: better low light performance and generally stronger video recording capability.
