Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 unboxing and key features

Hey, what's up guys will here for GSM, marina, we've already reviewed the Redmi Note 8 pro and now the regular version, the Redmi Note 8 has just arrived: it's a mid-range phone that packs some nice features. So let's check it out. Okay, here we go. First, we get a cardboard package with the sim tool inside there's some paperwork and in a little bag, a silicon case nice. Next we have the note 8 itself take off this plastic, and it's looking good oops forgot this sticker. There we go under here we have the bundled 10 watt charger and finally, a USB cable, just to note that if you're in Asia you'll probably get this version, while in Europe there's the note 80, which is the same, but with a different REM configuration a faster 18 watch harder in the box and NFC.

So now that we have that cleared up, let's go for the no DES key features first or rather premium design, it's nice to see a build of Gorilla Glass and a relatively inexpensive phone. There is no official IP rating. Xiaomi does say that the NATO coating on the internals will protect. It from some splashes the front and back are made from Gorilla Glass 5, though the frame is made of plastic, presumably to cut down costs. The back is totally flat, and now it has the Neptune blue finish: I, like the colorful grading.

Here, it's not only on the back. The blue gradient on the bottom bezel is a nice touch to the no-date screen is 6.3 inches a little smaller than the pro version 6.5, but otherwise the display is quite similar. It's an IPS LCD with what Xiaomi calls a dot notch cutouts and a 1080p resolution. Next, a high performance, mid-range chipset. The note 8 runs on a snapdragon 665 chipsets, which is new this year and either 4 or 6 gigs of ram.

The different markets might get different options. I wouldn't expect flagship, great performance, but based on other phones that have a 665 like the Rio May 5 in the a3. There should be perfect processing power for a mid-range err. The snapdragon 665 is also energy efficient, so, hopefully, battery life is good here with the 4000 million power battery too bad that although the phone supports 18 watt charging, it doesn't ship with that in the box. Third, on the list: a quad camera setup nowadays, even phones at lower price tears can boast a quad camera setup and the no date is no exception.

This is a 48 megapixel main camera. The quad Bayer filter, an 8 megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2 megapixel camera for taking macro shots and a depth sensor used in portrait mode. The overall setup will give you the same level versatility as the pro version and finally, a loud loudspeaker. The pro version speaker tested out a bit on the quiet side. The quality on this model may be a bit better.

It's still a single loudspeaker, but there is a sound chamber within the phone which is supposed to amplify your audio. It should give you more volume, as well as more bass, we'll put that to the test in our full review. So there you have it guys. The Redmi Note 8 is going for around 10,000 Indian rupees. Right now around a hundred twenty-five euros too bad, it will cost considerably more if you buy it in Europe, it looks decent, but we'll have to get further into our test findings to see what really makes this phone stand out.

What do you guys think? Let us know down below, and I'll, see you on the next one.
