Vivo IQOO Unboxing & Hands On - Mi 9 Killer? By Frankie Tech

Hi guys its Frankie from Frankie tech good to see you guys again and unfortunately, today it is not anytime anywhere Frankie's free tech, oh yeah, because of this weather in Hong, Kong and I have to say this has been probably the worst stint of just crappy weather that we've had in this town and I really hope that we can get some Sun very soon, because I've been holding off my camera comparisons. It's been pouring every day, it's like literally it's so dark here. It's just terrible! So apologies for that guys, but let's get right to it, and this is the phone you've been waiting for, and this is gonna, be my unboxing and first look of the VIVO I queue now. Thinking about this name, I have to say the first time I saw it I, really thought of igloo I thought of also like ICE. You know that kind of dates me right there by the way, but I Q kind of strange name, but what this is basically is vivas new sub brand, and they are creating this sub brand, specifically kind of focus, I think on certain factors. I think gaming is definitely one of them and there's a pretty cool box so far here, and we'll be showing you guys more details of the phone in a second, but let's go ahead and unbox this bad boy right here and I have to, say ahead of time.

I have not opened this boss. This is we're doing this together here, guys like we do on street tech monster inside now. That is look at that box. That is, that is kind of weird. That's like that's almost like a little leg, lift no it's not anyway! So here we are and there's the phone I'm going to put that aside for now and just looking at what's in the box here now, it's funny, if you guys- maybe don't know this fact of Frankie tech here and the reason why I did I pick up this phone, the VIVO IQ.

Well, if you guys actually knew a little trivia about my channel, you may know that a VIVO phone is actually the highest viewed video on Frankie Tech in Frankie tech, history, and that was the Bevy NEW dual display. So VIVO has been pretty good for my channel in the past. I, don't love the software for your phones, but let's see if things get better here with this phone and let's see what's inside this little blue box here we got look at that and that is kind of interesting I like the rib back. There's a little hole here, so it looks like this has some lighting on the back, which is pretty mean good materials over all of this case. So let's keep going here, sim ejector tool, usual books, chuck them aside here, and then what do we have here in terms of peripherals? Okay, no speakers in there, but we do have a let's really hope it is USB see here.

Oh, what a relief and I like that that almost looks like a pill right there, USB-C charging, cable and the VIVO charger, and now, if I'm not mistaken, this is a super 44 watt charger which I'm very excited to test very soon but interesting. You can't kind of recoil these, but it is a super heavy charger man. This bright, one of the heaviest chargers, I've ever felt, and so let's go ahead, move all this stuff aside and have a look at the Bevy IQ. Now, let's see if I get the edge here right, taking off the plastic whew, that's satisfying whoa and there it is your first look on Frankie tech of the VIVO I-q and let's take this sticker off right here, looks like there's some signal right there, and I just turned it on there. It is there.

It goes the people IQ, and it is doing some pretty neat stuff here- I think that maybe a light of sorts I'll have to check. That is pretty neat first impressions of this phone. It's given me that Nexus of that Nexus that VIVO NEW dual display feel, so it's a little thicker than I expected, but feels really the hand you see here. It is not a bezel. This phone there's no pop-up camera on this one, there's a little of a notch here, but tiny bezels around, and I do see the triple camera setup here, and so let me put my information in, and then we'll have a look at this phone in a second okay guys so back with the phone I.

Actually did a software update, and I've been able to put some basic apps here on this phone already, so a bit more productive here in terms of information than I typically do in my street tech videos I have gotten the Play Store installed here. There is a lot of bloat on this phone, but first impressions of using the VIVO IQ are very good. This phone flies and I got to say just downloading these apps just now was super quick, as you can see, there's the blow, but I've downloaded just a few, and let me just show you how it feels going through the interface here. It feels very responsive so far and let's go down the list here just quickly, because this is a really first impressions of this phone. Like I said and talking about design of this phone.

So in terms of body, it does feel a little thicker than the chamois Mimi 9 for sure, and we're looking at an eight point. Five millimeter thickness there so a little thicker than use 180 grams. So definitely tipping the scales there, a little more than the Xiaomi me9 as well, but I have to say the looks of this are really, really nice. There is this really cool effect? You see right there, and I'm going to have to check to see more about what this back is here, and I think it has I think there's a light in there. I'm going to have to check fingerprint scanners, pretty quick back in fun, touch OS whew fun touch OS.

My favorite not put, but I'm going to give this phone a chance, regardless at least they do it right here, unlike OPPO and color OS, where they just leave a white background. That looks a lot better there, but talking about display here. This is a six point. Four one inch display here and the best part about it is that it is AMOLED as well, and the blacks will be inky black on this phone. It's looking really nice.

It's looking similar to the display that was on the VIVO NEW dual display. So I think that is a welcome sight right here and the colors and the brightness look perfect. Now, that's the one thing I hate about blunt touch. Os. Is that oh, that shortcut Center is at the bottom looks like they've changed a little here, so they made it look a little less iOS II, so I can raise the brightness, and it does get very bright.

As you can tell I'm going to have to double-check and see what is the maximum brightness output for this screen here, and it's a little bright now, so I'm going to have to bring up the lower the brightness here, because, it's so dark in Hong Kong guys its just terrible, and you can see the icons here. Look pretty good bottom bezel is also tiny, and the top-notch is a little similar to the one on the Redmi Note: 7 I, don't mind it, but I wish it was a little more like the one on the OnePlus 60 and the Xiaomi me 9 as well, and speaking of the Xiaomi 9. Let's bring out that Xiaomi 9 right here. This is the comparison you want to see. This won't be a full design and display comparison, but I want to just put this phone next to this one, and so you guys can see them right here next to each other, pretty fast fingerprint scanner right there they are next to each other, so very evenly very even match here.

Actually I mean they. They are very similar cone opening settings, as you can see the full display how they look next to each other and I really hope they did that in software. The way they've done with Xiaomi- and this notch here now that Xiaomi the mean I mean, is a lot sleeker on the edge here. This one feels a little hefty on the edge, but you can see the side. Edge is definitely different, and it looks like there is a little of plastic here.

So let's go ahead and tear that off yeah I'm going to have to do that later. That is plastic right. Okay, maybe it's not plastic, maybe it's metal huh! That is crazy. That is some detail there interest interesting. So, as you know, I'm getting first-hand looks at this phone.

As are you, there is a 3.5 millimeter, headphone jack. That's a welcome sight and USB see, but I guess not I guess this is a part of the design, and it's got this kind of interesting branding here I'd be like this is going to be kind of rivaling, the black shark and those other kind of gaming phones, and so I can't wait to kind of put this through his paces in the gaming category very soon, as well performance, obviously similar to the Xiaomi me9 here, which, let me show you the back one talking about them. It Snapdragon 850 pods here, so we can have a true 855 battle here between these two phones and see, which one does it better stay tuned for that full comparison coming soon, so audio I'm going to have to test that as well. In the meantime, let's go into kind of sound and vibration and let's listen to their just a little of their sounds here. So there is a bottom firing.

Speaker looks like it's just a bottom firing speaker on this phone and can definitely get muffled, but not too badly. T-Bag look sounds pretty good. I'll have to do the full kind of audio test there in a bed and then the classic Frankie tech camera shot here in the first video. Let's just grab BBA because honestly I'll show you a shot I just took. Actually so you see how nasty it is here in Hong, Kong and so looking for the gallery.

This is the fun part of doing these videos that there they are albums, okay, cool and so let's take a quick shot here of using the camera, and then I'll. Let you guys know what it looks like now. The nice thing about this camera if it does have that wide-angle lens there just lets, you take a lot more footage there, and so, let's have a look now, if you remember my Bebop NEW dual display review I've kind of covered VIVO camera, the comedian camera epic, pretty extensively they're extensively there, but I'll be doing that more in depth in a little. Let's have a look at these shots, looking pretty good there and the main camera. This is a 12 megapixel, F 1.8, with a 13 megapixel ultra-wide and then a 2 megapixel depth sensor, shooting up to 4k 30 frames per second looks pretty good upon first appearance here on Frank Tech and now just to show you guys how nasty it really is in honking this picture doesn't do it justice man, it is just you can see it there guys the lights on the floor is drenched it's not pouring, but it's just a gradual, steady rain that just ruins your entire weekend. There you see the ultra-wide.

The ultra-wide looks a little darker there, so I'm not sure. What's going on with that, I'll have to do the full comparison soon, but that is it for this first look here: oh boy: let's get back to the main menu there. It is.
