Apple Watch Series 6 Vs Apple Watch Series 5 Quick Comparison! By Simple Alpaca

Welcome back everyone: let's do a quick little comparison between the newly announced Apple Watch Series 6 and the about a year old, Apple Watch series 5. Now I bought the series 5 a while ago, and I just pre-ordered the series 6. So whenever that comes in I'll, do a full comparison, but I'll be honest. First, you can't even pick up the Apple Watch Series 5 anymore, it's not for sale from apple. You can always get it from Amazon or eBay, but you cannot pick it up brand new anymore. The only apple watches that are supported right now or being sold by Apple are series 3, SC and series 6.

So keep that in mind I'll tell you right now, straight from you know the go. I watched the whole entire keynote. I like the series 6, but I would definitely recommend you. If you have an Apple Watch Series 5, you can keep it for the most part. You know there are some new capabilities for the Apple Watch Series 6, which is really cool, but still the series 5, I think, is a more than capable device, but again for a health.

Conscious person, the series 6, is definitely the better way to go. If you have all the money in the world getting the series, 6 is a really, really cool option now size, wise and pretty much the way they look. They look almost identical for the most part. The series six, you know, has the same: exact dimensions of the screen: the 40 and 44 millimeter design waves. So exactly the same size screens, it's not like you're, going to pick up a series, 6 and notice the 100 that you have the series 6 over the series 5.

However, there are some new IR sensors on the back. That can actually determine your heart rate, which we'll get into in a second, but on the front of the panel. They both share always on displays, but they're always on display on the series 6, I think, is over two times brighter than the one that is on the series 5. I don't know what this is going to do to battery life. It's probably going to make it go down.

They didn't mention anything on increasing the battery size or even battery life at all. I think, so I guess we'll see when we officially get it, but the series 5 had pretty decent battery life even with that always on display, but with this one being two times brighter, I guess we'll see if it takes a huge hit on the battery life or not, they both have water resistance. You know they're swim proof, you can go 50 meters in water and be set, so that's a perfect thing as well. The main differences that I saw were basically when it came down to the blood oxygen levels and the ECG app again with that new sensor, with the red LEDs or with the red IR blast or whatever it is. You can now tell the blood oxygen levels in your on your body, which is really, really interesting.

So if you're a super health conscious person, if you're somebody who really wants to take their health seriously, then the blood oxygen level app on the series 6 will definitely do that and that's one thing that they really kind of focused in on in this whole entire keynote was that specific blood oxygen level measure- and I think that's a really cool thing- I mean apple watches- are staple in health nowadays. So that's a really, really cool thing that they focused in on. So in terms of that, in terms of features, that's really the main difference, I would say, would be those two different features. You also have the Apple Watch Series 6 in a couple, more colors as well over the series 5, which is really, really cool as well, and we now have that apple s6 chip inside the series 6, which is really cool. So they said it's like crazy, faster than the s5, but I guess we'll see what happens.

You also have new watch faces on the series 6 as well. You also have that new solo, loop and braided loop on the series 6, which I'm pretty sure, is still going to be compatible with the series 5, and we do have that price tag of 3.99, which is pretty expensive, but again the series 5 costs around that too. But you do have to keep in mind that that is for the 40 millimeter one. You can pick up a series 5, you know in the used market or on Amazon for a little cheaper than that so kind of keep that in mind. But in terms of both I mean, like I stated before I mean I think both are great watches, but the Apple Watch Series 6 is definitely the better one, but I would still recommend a lot of people if you have the series 5 just keep it like.
