Galaxy S9+ vs Galaxy A71: Old Flagship vs New Midrange

Hey guys so come back, so today's video is gonna, be the Samsung Galaxy II 71 versus the Samsung Galaxy S man plus yeah I, know some of you will say it doesn't make sense. So I will be comparing a phone of 2020 to a phone that came out in 2018, and the goal here is simple: we want to know if buying a flagship phone that is 2 years old is gonna, give you more value than buying a mid-range phone. That is the latest one right. The Samsung Galaxy is 71 currently retails for around 380 to $400 on Amazon, while the Samsung Galaxy S, 9, plus currently retails for between 300 and 350 dollars on Amazon. Now, because the Samsung Galaxy II 71 is an older phone, there are a lot of deals on Amazon. You can even get a deal for around two hundred and fifty dollars for those of you.

That might not know the Samsung Galaxy S. My applause is the unit that currently use is the walking fine. You know the old saying that goes. If you didn't break, don't fix it. So I've not had any reason to upgrade it.

The phone is still going, we're still doing a good job for me still takes great photos and stuff. The unit I'm. Also using for this video is the one I currently use, so you might see a little tea, and we all need like there's a crack at the back. That was due to a particular case. I had had on the phone a while back.

I was right, the phone cracked so but there's no reason to change it because it doesn't affect the functionality of the phone to use it like that. Samsung Galaxy, S, 9 plus comes from the Samsung Galaxy s flagship family. It was released in March 2018. It was later followed by the Samsung Galaxy s, 10 series, which was released in 2019 and then currently in 2020. The galaxy s3 in series have succeeded: the Samsung Galaxy s 10 series, while the Samsung Galaxy S7 t1 comes from the Samsung Galaxy S series mid-range family, the galaxy is 71, was announced way back in December 2019, and it was released in January 2020 talking about design and build quality.

The Samsung Galaxy s 71 is designing class. Both front and back and the frame and everything is aluminum, while the Galaxy S7 g1, on the other hand, is designed in plastic, the frame is plastic, the back is plastic. Only the front is glass, which is the glass that is used to cut the display. Another big advantage with the Samsung Galaxy s, 9 + is Samsung. Galaxy S, 9 plus is water-resistant.

It's rated IP, 68 and IP.68 is still what phones of 2020 I read that once you see both of these phones, and you pick them up and hold them. Samsung Galaxy, S man, Plus still very much. Has that premium vibe going on looks premium. It feels premium. It feels like you're holding something that is very, very valuable.

Well, the other hand the Samsung Galaxy is 71. Has that new Samsung vibe? You know it still looks good feels good, like also choice that I've been holding it. Somebody has looked at it and see him and that one looks nice. You know, but holding them side by side with the Samsung Galaxy s, 9 plus I've, always gotten more attention with the galaxy s 9 plus, without somebody even noticing that I was holding the galaxy s 71. When it comes to the battery the Samsung Galaxy s, 9 plus comes with the 3500 William hour battery.

It has fast charging 15 watts, quick charge.2.0 is available also it has wireless charging, while the Samsung Galaxy II 71, on the other hand, has the four thousand five hundred million power battery, and then it has fast charging at 25 watts, no quick charge and no wireless charging, and that is because the Samsung Galaxy II 71 is built in plastic both of the devices to come with USB type-c ports. Both of them have headphone jacks, Samsung Galaxy, a seventy-one has a single mono speaker firing from the bottom. Well, the Samsung Galaxy, S, 9 plus, has stereo speakers, so which means someone is coming from the speaker at the bottom and also sound is coming from the earpiece, which means as you're playing games. If you block the speaker at the bottom, you still going to be having sound firing from the top of the phone. It takes me about two hours to charge my Samsung Galaxy s, 9 plus from 0 to 300, but it takes me just about 1 hour, 30 minutes or 1 hour, 37 minutes to charge my galaxy 71 from 0 to 300 and if you're asking which of them has the better battery that should be pretty obvious.

By now, the Samsung Galaxy in 71 has a better battery than the Samsung Galaxy s, 9 plus, and the Samsung Galaxy 71 caddy is faster than the Samsung Galaxy s that blows. That does not mean that the Samsung Galaxy S, my applause, does not have a good battery the battery little goes well for me. I really enjoyed the battery I, don't have issues with the battery, but you have to understand that one of the main selling points of the Galaxy S7 z1 is the battery and, as the old saying goes, you can have it all in one package, originally the galaxy s, 9 Plus came with Android 8.0 earlier from the Box now currently I've upgraded mine, 210 and won you a 2.0. The phone comes with the Samsung Enos 98 and chipset for international versions, the information that are going to North America and China you're, getting the snapdragon 845. The galaxy is 71, on the other hand, comes in under 10 from the box and won you a 2.0. It comes with this knob dragon, 730 SOC, four globe evasions, and then you get this Nation 730 g4 missions that are going to the Philippines, which I still don't understand.

Why? But that's it once you start using these two phones. The difference in performance is very, very obvious. The snapdragon 845 that comes in the Samsung Galaxy s, 9 plus, is still very, very much way ahead of the snapdragon 70 that comes inside the galaxy 71. In my day-to-day usage, the experience I found was things: I could do with my galaxy s, 9 plus with the swipe of a finger. It didn't really function that well on the Samsung Galaxy 71.

Even the gaming experience was totally different. Samsung Galaxy, S 9 plus handled almost every game with maximum resolution, while the Samsung Galaxy II 71 I, have to make some major tweaks or minor tweaks just to be able to play the game very smoothly. I was actually thinking as time was going by. Samsung will be using these associates that they use for older Samsung Galaxy S series for the series, but they don't. They just end up using newer versions of the smaller chipsets which doesn't really give that maximum performance by default.

The Samsung Galaxy S 9 plus comes with 6 gigs of RAM what 64 gigs internal memory, but you can also get elevations that have 6 gigs of RAM and 128 gig internal memory or 6 gigs of RAM and 256 gigs internal storage. Both of these devices have very, very good displays, which is something. Samsung is really, really good. At the galaxy s, 9 plus has a Super AMOLED display in 6.2 inches in size, and the display is called the Samsung Galaxy s.71 has a Super AMOLED display six point, seven inches in size, and it's a flat display. It's coated with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Why the display on the Samsung Galaxy s 9 plus, is coated with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5, meaning the display on the Samsung Galaxy s.9 plus would be more durable than the display on the Samsung Galaxy 71, but that's something I didn't test, because I didn't want anyone to find out the result by breaking the displays on both of these phones. They are quite expensive. I somehow prefer the display on the Samsung Galaxy 71 because of the size it's easier to use. Its massive is good for gaming. You know a lot of things, but when it comes to which one is smoother, definitely the display on the Samsung Galaxy s, mine plus now, once you start trying to scroll through these displays, you will definitely notice the difference immediately in the performance, the Samsung Galaxy s, 9 plus, is smoother when you're opening pages, or you're scrolling through pages what you are swiping and all that stuff that premium 5 is just obvious and also something else.

I like about the display on the Samsung Galaxy is every one is the new vibe that Samsung is using. That is the whole point. Is this place? So we have the small hole on the display that is carrying the front-facing camera. Every other part of the display is free from interruption, so it gives you more room for performance when it comes to the camera. That's one of the areas that the Samsung Galaxy is a with.

Your naturally shines. Samsung Galaxy 71 has a 64 megapixel main lens, and then you get a trip: megapixel ultra-wide 5, megapixel macro lens and a 5 megapixel depth sensor, while the Samsung Galaxy S 9 Plus. On the other hand, it has an F megapixel main lens and the trough megapixel telephoto lens, no ultra wide-angle, no macro lens. As for the front facing cameras, the Samsung Galaxy S, everyone has it a 2 megapixel front facing camera, while the Samsung Galaxy S 9 plus, has an 8 megapixel front facing camera, but it's not really about the megapixels when it comes to how good the images will be, it's really about the graphics engine and the performance of the phone that is actually taking the pictures and also the software of the phone. Please a very, very important role in what the final image will look like, so I've taken a lot of pictures with both of these phones and what I notice here basically, is that one of the advantages the Samsung Galaxy 71 has over the s9 + is the dynamic reach.

It has a very good dynamic range pictures are very, very bright, and they are super saturated now. That's something Samsung has actually done in recent years. With the cameras, the images taken with Galaxy phones are becoming more and more saturated, so, as usual I'm gonna, let you guys go through the images I've taken with this phone. You guys, let me know which one you prefer images coming from: the Samsung Galaxy II 71 or you may use coming from the Samsung Galaxy s, 9, plus, and also I would like to know. Will you choose the Galaxy S 9, plus over the Samsung Galaxy s, 71, so I hope you've enjoyed this video?
