Unboxing the NEW Apple iPad Pro 12.9in 2020 4th Generation By Seth

Hey I'm Seth and Allan box, pretty much anything, and today I'm unboxing, the brand-new twenty20 fourth-generation iPad Pro 12.9 variant in space, gray, I think I, don't remember for sure, but before we actually get into this unboxing. If you all haven't already seen on my main channel I, just unboxed a pair of wild Pharrell's like these Pharrell's are absolutely insane. The colorway is crazy. So since last year, I've been using the 2018 iPad Pro smaller size or 11 inches, and I've really loved it I think it's a really excellent tablet. My favorite feature about this tablet is, of course, the Apple Pencil, 2 and being able to sketch on the go without a notebook and actually where I found this tablet most useful was when I was designing my own sneaker, because I was traveling a lot I needed something to jot down ideas and even create finalized ideas, and this tablet is so powerful and so useful I was able to create fully colored in like fully photorealistic renderings. Just on this tablet, it was crazy, but I got to be honest for media consumption. This size is fine, but for sketching it was a little too small and as much as I love. This tablet and I really think it's pretty much as good as I need.

I just felt like the size wasn't really there. So what I did instead was upgrade to the 2020 fourth-generation 12-point 9-inch tablet, which is a lot more powerful. It's got a better camera setup, but primarily it's larger, and I know. I could have gone with the 2018 12.9 inch version, but I couldn't really do an unboxing video on that. So no tax break and, let's be honest, having a new Apple product is always so exciting.

So let's rip this guy open and see what it looks like in person probably very similar to last year's version, but you got to respect apples, packaging, they're, so smart to put like a little pull tab on there and make it so easy. I love it so easy like butter. There we go. Look at that looks the same on the front of the box. You've got a one-to-one scale picture of the iPad with a really cool background.

You've got iPad Pro written on one side: the Apple logo, on the other, pretty much standard, Apple goodness, let's pop off the top one. There we go here. It is look at that goodness right there, I love the tabs like I, said wow. This is significantly heavier than my 11 inch. One I'm surprised, I mean I've, never owned the twelve point, nine inch version, so it could be the same weight, its 2018 version, which I would assume, but it is heavier than my current one very cool.

So, let's put this off to the side we'll get to that paper in a second I've. Just noticed that they've got this square cut out for the camera. That kind of sticks off the back of the iPad. You know to be honest: I could do without a camera on the iPad I've, never really used the iPad camera and obviously there's some new features on this particular iPad that aren't having that camera. But I don't know if I'm going to use them so, so next up inside the box, you've got what is presumably the startup guide, the Apple stickers and all that sort of goodness startup guide, standard, stuff, you've got a, don't know some safety, information, I, guess, and you've got the Apple stickers in white kind of open.

If you Space Gray, like the tablet itself, but no dice on that one and then next up besides every time and then next up inside the box, we've got the wall. Wart also covered in some sort of protective film, and we've got the USB CTU SBC cable right there, so this will be for charging and syncing and all that sort of good stuff. Well, let's put this all off to the side, because we don't need this right now and let's get into the tablet itself. So first off we got to pull off this protective coating right here sounds great, doesn't sound as nice? Fine do it that way! Look how shiny and smooth that is I! Just don't want to touch it. I, don't want to ruin a hit.

So on the back, you can see. I got the Space Gray variant, which I believe is the exact same shade of Space Gray as the original version or the 2018 version at the bottom of the tablet. You've got the smart, connector you've got the Apple logo in the center, obviously, and then at the top right-hand corner, you've got the brand-new camera array, so, as you can see, there is a pretty large difference between the 2018 version and the 2020 version. The 2018 version just has one camera which again I could do without I, don't think I even used it once and then on the 2020 version. You have two cameras, a standard and a wide-angle, and then you've also got this LIDAR sensor, which is this little circle right to the left.

The cameras, it's just so scary, to put these down without a case. I, don't like this at all. The primary reason for that sensor is augmented reality. It's supposed to be able to judge the distance between any surface and your iPad. So in theory, you should get much more accurate, augmented reality placement.

It should know exactly how far it is from the table and generally what the scale of everything is now from what I've heard. That's actually one of the most expensive components in the iPad, at least in the camera. Module and I'd be interested to see if that component actually moves over to the iPhone when the new version comes out now to be real. Just like the cameras on the back of the iPad I doubt that I'll use it I, don't really use augmented reality at all other than in, like the goat app when you get to try on fake sneakers, like that's the most I've ever done with it. But I mean it's cool.

To have it's nice to be able to I, guess future-proof. Your iPad I wouldn't have minded again not having this bump at all. But you know at the end of the day, I get more power. I get better battery life, I got a larger screen, so I'll take the lump on the back. So now it's the moment of truth.

We turn this guy on. For the first time there we go. Look at that beautiful. This is a big boy. Okay, so slide up to start English, Selectric country.

So, while this iPad is setting up from one of my previous backups I just wanted to read you guys some pricing of these iPads, so the fourth generation, twelve point: nine-inch, iPad Pro comes in a couple different variants. There are Wi-Fi versions and cellular versions of each, and they come in two different colorways, obviously, space gray and silver. The different size options you can get are 128 gigabytes, which start at 999 256 gigabytes, which start at 1099, which is the size that I got. You can get 512 gigabytes, which starts at $12.99, and then you can go huge if you want and get a terabyte which starts at $14.99. All of these are plus tax, so you're going to have to pay more than what I just read and honestly a terabyte, while that's great to have that's really expensive for an iPad.

So unless you're planning to use this as a PC replacement, I, don't know if I'd pay that much as for the 11-inch version of the tablet, it has the same storage options, but it comes in at a cheaper price. The 128 gigabyte version of the tablet starts at $7.99 for the Wi-Fi version. The 256 starts at 899, the 512 starts at 1099 and the one terabyte starts at $12.99. All the pricing I was mentioning was for the Wi-Fi only version you can get a cellular version which is more expensive, really think you need it unless you're using it for business, on-the-go, constantly I'm, usually fine with Wi-Fi, most airplanes have Wi-Fi in most places you go have Wi-Fi and if you really have to you can tether it to your phone, and it works the same as a cellular version. So I don't really feel like I need it, but hey.

If you want cellular, you had that option now. Some good news is that the second-generation Apple Pencil works perfectly fine with the fourth-generation iPad Pro. In fact, I. Don't think they even updated the Apple Pencil, so you're going to be buying a second-generation pencil. If you want it with this new iPad, so I'm keeping the pencil selling the iPad, and I'm excited to use it.

And, of course one of my favorite features about the pencil. Besides, the fact that it's really accurate, and it draws perfectly blah blah is if you could stick it on the side of the iPad magnetically, and it charges there. We go I'm really excited about this tablet. I can't wait to use it when it's done restoring from iCloud, so I'll get back to you in a couple of minutes once this is all done, so I finally got the iPad set up. It looks great, it looks awesome.

There is hair on it, but other than that perfect. The screen is significantly bigger, love that about it and, of course, I got the Apple Pencil setup, which means I can start sketching on it, which was really the main reason. I got this bigger tablet because sketching just looks so much better on the bigger tablet. Honestly. For me, the Apple Pencil is the best Apple accessory ever obviously there's the air pods and all that sort of good stuff.

But this I mean this allows you to be creative, and I just love the way it feels on the tablet. It just feels like a real pencil. It's incredible another great thing about this tablet is you can pinch and zoom? You can turn the paper around. You can change the pen type super, super easily I'm, not exaggerating when I say I sketch on this more than paper more than my Wacom tablet. Just because it's always around me, and it's always easy to pull out, and I love the way the pencil feels if you're just buying this tablet just for sketching it's already worth it also to be honest, I'm kind of interested in video editing on this, because it's super, powerful, and they're, coming out with a new sort of keyboard, stand thing that you can kind of prop up like a computer, and it's got a trackpad and all that sort of good stuff and I edit on a trackpad on my laptop.

So as soon as that accessory comes out, I believe it's 350 bucks, so it's not cheap, but I think it may. When it drops I'm gonna, try and grab it probably do an unboxing video of that stand as well. So I could give you guys my impressions of that accessory, because I feel like that, could genuinely make this into a laptop competitor and genuine laptop competitor, which is kind of crazy. Overall, the fourth generation iPad Pro 12 point 9 inches is a really solid tablet. It's slightly more powerful than the previous version.

It's the same size, it's the same dimensions, but it should be a more capable tablet. Overall, especially if you care about augmented reality and the cameras I mean I, wouldn't recommend taking pictures on your iPad people who do that usually are moms at Disney world. But you know we still do it if you want plus now it's got a wide-angle camera. So if you didn't have that on your phone, you've got it on your tablet. It's still got the four speakers two on the top two on the bottom and of course it's got the USB-C port on the bottom, which I really wish we had on the iPhones I.

Don't know why they hadn't done that yet, but it's really nice to have us PC for everything, except for my iPhone and overall, if you're willing to drop the money on this tablet, I think it's worth it, whether you're, using it as an entertainment device for games or for movies or whatever it's super capable for that or if you're, using it for productivity like sketching or writing papers or even editing videos, it's a very, very capable tablet. It might even be more capable than some lower end laptops and Apple saying some mid-range laptops as well, but I don't know if I believe that yet I'm impressed I'm excited about using it and I think it's probably worth it, but that pretty much wraps up the video for today now I would love to know your thoughts on the 4th generation iPad Pro and whether you'd consider grabbing one for yourself.
