TCL Marine Blue 20 Pro 5G - First Look

What's going on everyone, it's day with spectacular gadgets and in this video we'll be taking a look at the TCL 20 pro 5g, first off huge shout out, and thank you to TCL for sending this over for me to test out. I really do appreciate it. The first thing that comes to mind when I test out or try a TCL pro series is that I'm not going to be spending a lot of money, but I am going to be getting a lot of features. So let's go ahead and see how this device stacks up. Let's do this spectacular gadgets, oh yeah, spectacular gadgets. This is a 6.67 dodge AMOLED display full HD plus 20 by 9 aspect ratio and check out the color. This is the marine blue color.

You have four cameras on the rear. Yes, count them four cameras, so you have a little of TCL branding on the bottom left, but other than that. This device is clean on the back starting at the top 2 megapixel depth: cam 5, megapixel macro cam, 16, megapixel, wide angle, plus a 48 megapixel main sensor on the left of the device. You'll see you have a smart key which is programmable on the bottom. You have your sim tray type c port in a single speaker.

I want to go ahead and take a look at the sim tray to see if I can expand storage and yes, you can do a micro SD card as well as your sim. On the other side perfect here we have the 32 megapixel selfie cam, along with the earpiece, no stereo speakers on this device to the right of the device. You have the power button, which is here along with the up and down volume keys on the top of the device. We have a headphone jack IR blaster, along with the mic. Last year's device is on the right side.

This is the 10 pro, and it looks like a good phone. It is uh very good. Looking on the top, they both actually have the same layout as far as the headphone jack and IR blaster and mics. So I don't really see a big difference. Let's take a look um, so it looks like the 20 pro is slightly taller and that's really about it.

As far as the device, design and size I have powered on the device, I will do some setup off camera, and then I'll do some on camera so that you can see I'm here at the setup screen hi there. I actually do have my sim card inside the device, so the data is enabled that's a good thing now go ahead and connect it to my Wi-Fi. So we can get things started now it's getting the phone ready, I'm going to go ahead and copy exactly um how everything is on my s21 ultra to this device. It's just a lot easier for me to do it this way, because everything comes to the new device. Now is what I want you to see the fingerprint setup.

I sped it up because this one actually took a while to set up. I added one finger, but, as you see I do both thumbs now here is the face unlock and that's real easy. Take. A look here. Face unlock will be disabled in the following cases, so the device has not been used for more than four hours pin pattern.

Password has not been used to unlock for 24 hours and face unlock failed three times in a row, so I'm choosing the right as my dominant hand, because that is, so I'll say next here we have the option to toggle next vision on or off, and what this does are visually enhances images on the device, so it's much clearer. Brighter just looks better in my opinion. Now I'm going to choose that I would prefer home and drawer screen for my home screen style that works for me. I do like to have an app drawer, so I'll hit next now lock screen setup, let's go ahead and keep TCL style by default. Next, I'm going to test out the fingerprint sensor.

I will tap on the screen to wake. It up place my finger on the sensor, and it unlocked. Let me try it again. So if I have it down on a surface, then pick it up. This will wake up the device place my finger on the sensor and voil?.

Let me try with the left thumb and no issues face unlock, and it actually did unlock the device, but I have to swipe up to get to the home screen to change this go to settings and then once you're in settings select security and biometrics when you're in their find the face unlock setting. So it's right here put your pin in and then go down to the bottom, where it says stay on lock screen after unlocking use the toggle to switch it off, and this should go directly to the home screen once you unlock it with your face. So as you see, it went directly to the home screen instead of me having to swipe up once the device unlocked here. Is the Google Pixel 5 it's running the snapdragon 765 g, the 20 pro is running the snapdragon 750 750g. Now this is just a quick snapdragon comparison um to show you how they both handle web browsing.

So quick comparison on the two to show you the speed, so you can actually see what web browsing looks like when using the device. Oh, the smart key is a super cool feature. This key allows you to quickly open up an app or feature by pressing it. So let me show you how it works I'll, go ahead and select smart key. This opens up the settings for it, and you see I have single press double press, long press.

I have to toggle on to turn it on, and you have an action to open up a feature. So they list all the features that you can use this smart key. But let's say I don't want to open up a feature, and I want to open up an app you select that portion of the screen and just toggle open app, so the phone will go ahead and generate all the apps that you have on your device, select whatever app you want. I ended up selecting Amazon Music, so my single press, when I press the smart key, it should open up Amazon Music. So let me go ahead and test out this theory and see, and so I single press takes a second and Amazon Music came on now the double press, so you have to press it twice.

What I set it up as to go to my notes, so I can go ahead and take a note, then, if you long press this will take me to my Google Assistant. This device has a 4500mah per hour battery type c charging. It has fast charging, but it also has wireless charging, so you can wirelessly charge this device. You get. This cool charging animation looks really cool.

Actually, I want to go ahead and look at that again. It's just a little thing. Sometimes that is a cool animation. Next, I'm going to go ahead and test out audio and video when using this device to watch media. What's going on everyone, it's day with spectacular gadgets and in this video we'll be taking a look at the Ming song camera video sunglasses spectacular gadgets.

Will you be using this device for mobile gaming? Well, let me go ahead and test that out for you um. This is Call of Duty mobile. The mode is attack of the undead, so I'll just do a quick little sample for you, I'm getting the volume all the way up and let's go ahead and test it out, see if it stutters, if it lags is it gets warm, let's go attack on the undead. Let me down enemy contact reloading cover me, so obviously that wasn't my best game. I didn't do much.

What I did notice after playing about two games is that the device started to uh warm up a bit and once the device warmed up, it started to stutter and have a little of hiccups here and there, while playing- and I did play like what you're seeing now is probably two to three games in um when I finally turned on the camera and recorded this gameplay, so the device does heat up, but not to the point where it's unbearable to hold spectacular gadgets. All right. Now, I'm videotaping with the tcl20 pro 5g we're going to check to see what type of stabilization this device has as well as how good the microphone sounds. So, what's going on just trying to figure out which tree is the healthiest because we really care about the environment? That's a lot! No! It's all true! You litter all the time. I see you all the time.

These are they're all you litter all the time the TCL 20 pro 5g as a whole as an entire package.4.99 500 for this mid-range device, think about everything that you're getting for five hundred dollars. First off a headphone jack, that's something that I'm super happy about: you're, getting an IR blaster right! Next to that you're, getting type c charging you're getting fast wired charging you're getting wireless charging your, getting a lot of things that much more expensive devices have taken away. You have to remember that you know I have a lot of devices ranging in all different prices, and I can actually appreciate when I can spend less and get more in certain areas when it comes to these smartphones and no I'm not saying that this device is perfect because to me there's no device out there. That is perfect. What I could say regarding these devices.

Things that probably need to be addressed is uh. Definitely the warming of the device, and also one thing that I really have to point out is photos. You have four cameras on there and sometimes it just the cameras just couldn't handle what was being thrown at it, and it's kind of wishy-washy and flip-floppy, because it's like sometimes it can come out with a perfect photo and other times the photo is so everything is so blown out. It's its kind of crazy. So you just it's a mixed bag, you're not going to be really certain what you're going to get um when you're using the cameras, but at the same time there are good photos that can come out of this thing.

Would I recommend the tcl20 pro 5g and yes, actually, I still would recommend this device, because this is just another option that you have if you're into the android system? This is a very good device, it's very capable of doing what most people are going to actually use it for well that about wraps it up for this video. I want to thank everyone for taking the time to chill with me as we go through this journey and until next time, everyone I want you all to have a spectacular day later.
