Hey everyone techno here with something quite different today, that's right! We're going to be talking about a cell phone somewhat here in mobile gaming, as the title says now hold on a second. I know what some users are thinking like to come on: dude mobile gaming. Like really does that even count as gaming and believe me, I was in the same boat as you right. I was thinking mobile gaming, alright. So what is that really Candy Crush and like Wordsworth friends or something? But honestly, I was very, very curious about the mobile gaming scene, and is it worth anything right there? You know what I mean so when I gave it an honest, try and actually dedicated some time to it. I was really surprised on how fun it is.
So that's where the phone comes into play, and we're going to be talking about and using the lg velvet phone in this review right here. By the way this phone is using a 6.8 inch, p o lit 1080p screen with 395 PPI. We have six gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of storage by the way kind of backtracking to that 6.8-inch screen again, it's not gigantic, but it's not small. It's really that perfect size right here. But yes, I already know the one question: that's on your mind, man.
I don't want my big old chunky thumbs all over my screen whenever I'm gaming blocking off half the screen, and I'm right there with you right, you got this phone and your thumbs are all over the screen. I mean it works, but again it's not the best experience and that's where we're gonna pull in the lg velvet. The dual screen case right here. You just slap your phone in it bam and that other screen is gonna fire up right there and there's so many functions with it. But, yes, you have a spin image of the screen on your phone bam right on the left side right now and there's so much we can do with it.
Let's take a look now I usually end my reviews talking about price, but I want to chime in and talk about it right now, since we just talked about the specs, the features of the dual screen and everything so the phone you can get for 600 bucks, sometimes right, underneath around 550 or something like that, and then the dual screen case comes in at 200 bucks, so again, with the whole package, we're still under a thousand bucks which you're talking about some of these other screens with other phones with dual screens and bigger phones, you're talking a thousand plus up to two thousand bucks. So why I wanted to touch on that right. There is clear as day you don't have to break the bank for a good phone or heck a good mobile gaming experience. So talking about mobile gaming experience phone aside, the one thing that you might be thinking is all right. What if I use a controller one of these hundreds of mobile gaming controllers with a clip on it, and they do work, but your phone gets a little heavy.
On top, I mean I enjoy using that way, but again it does get kind of heavy, and it's who wants to carry the stinking controller in their bag right. We always have our phone in our pocket. The other thing you might be thinking is what about something a little fancier like the racer fish by the way review coming up on this soon I stink and love this thing kind of spoiler right there. You know what I mean but again, who wants to have that in their bag. We all always have our phones in our pocket, and this is where the lg velvet, with the dual screen case, really comes to life right here.
It's so cool for a mobile game and probably the best experience I have experienced yet, at least, so you fire up your game right. On the other side, you see a little controller, icon, bam, click, lg, game pad and on your opposite screen. This can go either way as far as everywhere. You want to hold it, and then your controller will fire up there. You can set preset controllers per game, whatever game you're playing just bam.
Click, the plus button, add whatever button you want and sync it to whatever you have on the screen right there. It is so stinking cool, because again you don't have to have your thumbs all over your main screen blocking off half of your game or whatever you create your own controller per game, and you can just game like that or, of course, if you wanted your game on the lower screen or whatever, and then have your email or text message or whatever on the opposite screen, you can do that as well, but again focusing on mobile gaming. This is the perfect way I mean just think about that. Would you rather just carry this one little device right here or this right? I mean you get the whole package in this one small platform. Now, let's focus a little more on mobile gaming itself.
I did a poll on the channel recently and asked people. Do you mobile game? It was yes nowhere sometimes, and let me tell you what no one by a dramatic amount, some of the comments that went along with it are just like I mean it was shocking, and I think I probably would have voted no as well, just because again going back to the beginning, when I think of mobile game- and I think Candy Crush awards with friends or something you know what I mean I knew about these other mobile games. It was like nah, that's just ridiculous and, yes, I think mobile games. The problem with it is a lot of them. Hold your hand right, you can run, and it fires for you or runs for you.
You press a button and your guy goes there. It's there's a lot of holding hands for so yes, you do gotta, find that right game for it and I think, Call of Duty, pub g and some other games out. There have been really fun. I've been loving them as far as the story, the graphics are shockingly good, almost like Nintendo Switch, maybe a little PlayStation 2 is. Sometimes, in the know what I mean, but yeah, the graphics are great, they run great.
You can always find matches and again a lot of the game. Let's talk, PUBG Call of Duty what I've been playing a lot of here. They start off, holding your hand very easy, like I'm going like 27 and one and everyone else is like five and something I'm like this ain't right. I think I was on Twitter once I asked people, so there are bots in this game. You know what I mean.
Like my first game of pub g mobile, I won my second one. I won, and I believe I won my third one as well. It was just crazy, that's kind of the thing that was a turn off at first, but again, once you give it some time, and you keep playing, it starts, putting you in matches with people based around your skills. So then again you start getting that challenge there, and it really becomes a fun kind of immersive experience where you actually get attached to now. The other thing that I haven't found yet with mobile gaming is like I, like.
A lot of story games, like I take a story game over multiplayer game all day long. I just that's just me. I love a good immersive story, game right and I haven't found that on mobile gaming. Yet maybe that's just because I have I'm fairly new into the scene right here. If you know any good like immersive story games, it doesn't have to be free, it can cost money.
Please let me know down in the comments, because I'm really curious, and I would love to just dabble with that on a mobile phone, because, honestly, like I play the switch a lot you all know if you've been here for a while, I love the Nintendo Switch and I play it so much probably my second console after a console, my second gaming platform after a PC right there, you know, but when I've been laying in bed or just kind of hanging out in the living room or outside whatever I tend to fire up my phone a lot more than my switch right now you know what I mean because again it's that fun. Now there are a lot of thoughts with mobile gaming. I think we kind of squashed like the device. We got a good device that doesn't need to break the bank right here. We have some good games, they're very fun, but the one thing that's a big turn off for me at least with mobile games, is every single thing, and they try to throw it in your face when you just fire the game up, they want you to pay for something.
Always I mean the game is free right, but you're fired up, buy this buy this by this you got to go through like five screens before you can get to the game. You know what I mean and is that because they're giving you the game for free, probably sure right, we pay for all of our games on PC or console right. So they give you the game for free, so they're, trying to nickel and dime you here and there, but it just gets annoying like fine, have it in there, but don't throw it in our face in just about every mobile game. I play whether it be a driving game. You know Call of Duty pub g is probably the worst I mean constantly.
They want you to pay for after you finish, your match, hey pay for this, because you can get this, it's stinking annoying and I think they need to really kind of keep it in there. Fine. I understand they need to make their money because you got a free game, but put it in the background a little, don't throw it right in our face, because it's its just a big turn off. So all in all, what I'm saying here is give mobile gaming a chance more than we all have probably done, and I'm sure a lot of these are just like me right. You thought the mobile gaming was Candy Crush.
You know what I mean, and we never really give it a true chance, we're probably just sitting in line. We played two minutes I was like. Oh, this is corny. This is not like my 2080 ti or whatever you know what I mean, and you know you just kind of shut it down and that's it, but I think if you actually sit down dive into it, you have the right device again, something like this. Um I've always been an iPhone user.
I love iPhones, I'm not trashing it by any means. I absolutely love apple products, but again you got that one basic phone, and it's sitting right there. Your thumbs are covering the majority of the screen. So there goes the experience right off the gate right there. But again, when you're looking at something like the lg velvet number, one that won't break the bank, you have the dual screen where you can get your controllers down there and again, don't think about the device just as for gaming, because you can have multiple, you can have YouTube and then your email right text, message and email over here multitasking for work, absolutely fantastic.
You know what I mean talk about productivity, so again a device like this being so versatile, but again we're talking about here, mobile gaming. It really shines, and I think if you get the right device, the right situation for mobile gaming, that's when it's going to shine. So again, all I'm saying is: don't write it off, give it a chance, get the right device right here again, won't break the bank. You know, and I really think it's going to open up your eyes, and you're going to have a blast with it. All I can say is I really am, and it shocked me so, all in all I'm having a blast mobile gaming, I'm loving the lg velvet really opened my eyes.
I never thought I'd have anything other than an apple phone in my pocket, but it's really opened my eyes right here, and I'm absolutely having a blast right here. So please, let me know down in the comments what your thoughts are on mobile game and not just some off-the-wall law. It's corny, or you know it's not real gaming. Please let me know your thoughts on it or what are some of your favorite mobile games, because I really want to check some out. I mean I got a ton downloaded on here: assassin's creed, the new uh rainbow six or Tom Clancy, one whatever tons of games on here, but I would love to hear some other ones that you guys recommend as well, but hey.
I hope you enjoyed the video. Furthermore, I hope I answered some questions. If you're looking into the lg velvet or just curious about mobile gaming in general, and again we're going to talk a lot more about it here, we're going to be reviewing the fish coming up and then again the other cool thing we'll be talking about as well. If you haven't heard Xbox game pass is going to be on mobile as well, and that is going to be a lot of fun to talk about so make sure you subscribe and hit the bell for that one.
