Tech News | Samsung Galaxy s20!? | Windows 7 Dead | Rx 5600XT vs RTX 2060KO | Tesla News | PS5 Leaks

What's going on guys down marina here back with week three of tech news. Today we got a couple cool things: smartphones, some Microsoft stuff, going on with Windows 7 a little news about Tesla, and we got some good PlayStation links. Samsung, Galaxy, S, 20, there's been a lot of leaks, kind of some things that are confirmed some things we know about it. We know basically the design, the spec list, and we know that they change up the name to s 20 which I'm guessing they did it for the year 2020 to catch up to the year. So every release will be numerical and line up with your interesting choice. I didn't see that coming I thought I would just go 11.

It's crazy, because they're going to have a very wide variety of phones. They're going to have five different iterations, there's gonna, be the Galaxy S 20, the S 20, plus the S 25 G, that's 20, plus 5 G, and then the s20 ultra 5g, interesting that they went ultra. You know apples got their pros so that I guess they decided to go ultra and be on the other end of things. They are gonna. Do their official release on February 11th, that's and Samsung plans on unveiling the phone talking about it on their own conference.

Really thinking about it seems that over the past couple of years you know past two years. Maybe Samsung has really become another drop in the bucket of the android spectrum, a phone. You know you see, phones, like one plus, you know wall way doing their thing, and you know even Google coming out with the pixel all competing. Very you know at a very high level over in the Android Market, and then you have Apple, you know Apple consumes their 50% of the pie and then there's Android, and it used to be Apple and Samsung. Samsung still sells a lot of phones.

They're still, you know money making wise number one, but it doesn't seem like the go to that like it did three years ago. Three years ago it was you got a phone, or you got a Samsung Galaxy or no, and if you wanted something cheaper, there were other options, but those are the two flagships. Those were the two choices. Really it was either you wanted apples ecosystem or you wanted it Android and you went with the Samsung, and it's not that case anymore. However, it does seem that Samsung is really coming for everyone else's neck with these specs, so they're going to have a four camera set up in the rear.

This is going to include your main camera, the telephoto a three times zoom and an ultra-wide. It's going to be starting at 128 gigabytes, they're, all going to be upgradable, with a micros up to an extra terabyte I think the highest one has 500 gigs. So you have a max option of 1.5 terabytes on your phone they're, throwing everything at the wall to me, starting at 12, gigabytes of RAM for the lower end and for the ultra all the way up to 16 gigabytes of RAM, a 4500 William hour battery with 25 watt, fast charging and, of course, latest and greatest 865 Qualcomm processor, to run the machine. So they're also going to be joining that high refresh rate life.120 Hertz is the rumor and I believe that'll be true because, like I said, Samsung is really throwing everything out the wall with this one. They said that, or they're thinking that you know we're kind of falling back in this ecosystem of Android, with the OnePlus doing so.

Well, especially this year, their room, whirring 120 Hertz display with the Google Pixel last year, been kind of a disappointment. But this year I'm sure they're going to come back strong and come with something good. And then you know what weighs not really a competitor anymore, because everything that's happening to them, at least here in the US, but they have these three other competitors that are really chomping at them and I think they said we're gonna he'll marry it throw everything we can and have an actual sizable leap from our previous phone, and you know in tech. You know with come with. Competition comes innovation, and it's really nice to see.

So the next story is coming from Microsoft, and they announced officially that Windows 7 is dead. The support for Windows 7 is gonna, be no more, and they suggested to over 4 million users that are still on Windows 7, to upgrade to something new that has Windows 10 already installed, because it's going to be better than them upgrading themselves to Windows 10. You know, and at first it seemed to me like this- was just a money grab from Microsoft like how hard is it to continue to put out updates for Windows 7, but then I thought about it from the standpoint that you know. Windows 10 came out five years ago now in 2015 and Windows 7 was quite a bit before that. So you know technology wise in computing, wise, Windows 7 is quite a bit of ways back and any computer that was made back then, is most likely.

You know slow, and it's just not keeping up with times. So it might just be time for these people to upgrade anyway, and this is the push they need. This is really important because of the malware aspect of this with them, not giving updates anymore, that there's going to be no protection against hackers, and you know people trying to exploit Windows 7. It's like I said for those 400 million people and businesses that are so using Windows 7. They kinda, are forced to upgrade unless they want to put themselves at some bigger security risk.

Alright. So if you're interested in Tesla's, and you live in Michigan, you know that you can't buy one in Michigan. Michigan has this interesting law where any car manufacturer has to work with dealerships inside of Michigan? You know inside you know in Detroit or whatever city you're you're in they have to work with the dealerships they have to sell their cars at dealerships, and you know, as we know, Tesla does all their business online or at their own. You know a few select dealerships, and they don't branch out. They don't sell their cars at random dealerships.

It's pretty. You know in-house, so they recently just got the law passed where they were able to finally start selling inside the Michigan I thought this was interesting. You know, especially with Michigan being the juggernaut that it is when it comes to car manufacturing. Furthermore, you know, Detroit is the capital of car manufacturing in the United States that Tesla wasn't able to sell their car there. So it's cool now that they're able to sell the car people are now able to get the car serviced inside of Michigan before they had to travel outside the state.

So this was interesting. Something I never thought you know a car was banned inside a state. You know so it was. It was just an interesting story to me that this was happening, but now it's all cleared up. So if you're in Michigan go crazy, go buy, your tests, like you'll, even be able to get it fixed inside state.

So the next thing I want to talk about, was graphics cards or one graphics card in particular, and that was the Radon Rx 5600 AT. That recently was announced and then released by AMD. So this is their like two hundred and eighty dollar card. It's meant to compete with something in the price range of a sixteen sixty Ti. However, it outperforms the sixteen sixty TI by quite a bit so when Nvidia did was, went and muddied their waters even more, with all the versions of cards they have out, and they went and released this 20, the Rx T 2060 KO Edition.

This is a three hundred and twenty dollar card, so there's now about a forty dollar gap and based on benchmarks that I've seen, which I'll link down below to a video of someone who benchmarked these cards against each other. The five sixty was only about four to five percent slower. You know obviously you're not getting the rate racing with it, but it was slower. So it's interesting that you know Nvidia decided to come out with new cards to directly compete with this one and then didn't make it the same price. You know if NVIDIA was like that's knocked down the twenty sixty-two, maybe three hundred then you know it would compete because the sixteen sixty TI is just not a competition for this one and which is crazy because the 16-6 CTI retails for about 250, so the price gap from the 1660 Ti to the 550 600 AT is closer than to the 2060 KO Edition.

It's interesting that a video would go muddy. The waters even more come with another car. That kind of makes there are other cards obsolete and then not even have it actually directly compete with the 5600, so I think. If you're looking for a card in the sub $300 range, the Rx 5600 AT from AMD is gonna, be your best bet. So finally, we got some PlayStation 5 leaks.

These are going to be on the hardware aspect of things on the latest. Leak is basically about the performance of the PlayStation, and it's looking like the GPU and the PlayStation 5 is gonna, be comparable to the Rx 2070 super. When I first saw this, you know one I think it's true III think that they're gonna aim for not the highest end. I, don't think they're gonna aim for the 28th ETC, but I do think. They're gonna aim for something like the 2070 I think the 2060 is, is too low and that 2070 supers right there and that that sweet spot.

What was interesting to me is that's a $500 card. I do know that Sony has the advantage of mass-producing things and when you mass-produce, this means that things become cheaper for them. So you know this card. They might be able to mass-produce it and bring the price down to 300 a card or something like that. But then you also have to factor in the case the power supply the RAM, the processor.

That's going to go into the controller. You know everything factored in I really see the price range of these consoles, releasing at no lower than 600. You know I think 6 to 700 is really gonna, be their release point, and it is possible also that they're going to do some kind of like two different versions: the regular and the pro, or something like that. I do see that being an option. Also, I would think that if they were to do a pro model and maybe one day put something equivalent to a 2080 in a PlayStation, it would be later on down the line two three years into the consoles' life cycle.

So obviously this is a huge jump from the PlayStation 4. You know we're you know.4K at 60 frames is being introduced at 1080p. You were probably with that kind of car. We're going to be looking at 120, maybe 144 frames, you know cat, which is big, because you know games on the PlayStation right now we run at 60 and if you're a gamer, that's on a PC at all. You realize that 60 is kind of it's really a bare minimum.

At this point, with high refresh rate screens becoming cheaper and cheaper 120 is very soon I think going to become the standard now for 4k. It might be a different story. You know when you're playing some kind of story mode game, or you know something- that's not really driven by frames, not something. That's a first-person shooter, and it's more story based then I can see with a 60. You know 60 frames, but having that 4k you know is, is the right balance.
