Redmi K40 5G - I AM NOT CONVINCED...

So recently, Redmi just released another of their k series and this time it's in the form of the k40- and we have here right now- is the base variant of the Redmi k40. So are you excited come on join me, let's unbox it so hi guys, I'm Mitch, Molotov too, and welcome back to my channel, and we've just unboxed the Redmi k40, and here it is it's really, really nice. This color is probably one of my runaway favorite for this series. We also have the color black and the color white. Both of them are very, very basic colors, but the black is something different, and this one probably uh you can see the rainbow colors changes every time it touches the light. It's really, really nice, and should be probably one of your favorite colors too.

Now the Redmi k40 comes with the snapdragon 870 chipsets, and it's a 7 nanometer chip, plus it's already 5g capable it comes also together with the arena 650 as its GPU. Now the snapdragon 870 for me is a good performer and upon asking an tutu, it gave it a 620 000 points which is for me a good processor even upset the snapdragon 865, with just roughly close to 600 000 points. This one runs away with a 620 000 points. Now this phone comes in four variants. You have the six one, two eight gigs, eight one to eight gigs, eight, two, five, six gig and twelve, two five, six gigs, it all are using UFS 3.1. What is your choice? Then? We also check i2 to benchmark.

It gave it a 470 000 points, 3d mark slingshot, extreme 4, 800 points, and, of course, how can we forget to check the arm info for the Wi-Fi security level on this phone? It has a level 1 wideband security level and, of course, you can watch all you want. Your high definition on Netflix and this phone comes with a 6.67 AMOLED display, together with a 120 hertz of screen refresh rate. Then of course it has accordingly, five glass protection, together with a corning gorilla glass at the back together also with the aluminum frames. It has a resolution of 1080 by 2400 and, of course, you can watch 2k on this phone right now watching some videos on YouTube here on this phone. I can set it up to 2k display and I can say the display is really nice really smooth giving it a 120 hertz of screen refresh rate makes it even better, and I have one big complaint on this phone.

Why does it still have a punch hole on this phone now? What's different between this and the Redmi Note series, it is almost the same. Redmi k series is known for your pop-up camera. We know in the k20 and the k30, they have the pop-up camera. You have the full screen all to your own. No dot drop, no teardrop nothing.

The screen fully is all yours. When you take away the pop-up camera, it becomes just another ordinary Redmi phone to me. I don't know why the Xiaomi take away the pop-up camera. It's just like saying me mix is no longer bezel-less. It kind of takes away the traditional trademark of that series, the pop-up camera, and that, for me, I'm not really so happy about it.

Just to let you know playing Call of Duty on this phone. I can see that uh the display is nice. Of course, it has a 120hz of screen refresh rate now all the settings I can set it to the max. It's really, really smooth. I can see that the gameplay is really nice.

Now, coupled together with a stereo, surround sound. I can say that it's really giving me a very immersive experience, except that that drop notch. Now, let's talk about the camera on this phone, it has a 48 mp, 1.8 aperture, wide lens, together with the 8mp ultrawide lens and, of course, your 5mp macro lens. It's just a triple camera and of course it has a 20 mp front camera in the form of the punch hole, no longer the pop-up camera that you used to know. Let's take a quick look at some photos.

Now I can say that this camera really is a performer, though it's just a 48 mp camera taking outdoor shots, it's nice. It's crisp and, of course, taking some low light shots. It's still good. Now, let's check some selfie from this phone outdoor shots is no question asked indoor shot. Well, it's still good right.

Now, let's run down some videos from this camera. Oh right outdoors, it's nice! You can use your ultra stabilized mode using the as it's up to 1080p 30fps, I can say it's stable! It's nice! It's sharp and well. If you use a 4k 30fps, it's a little jittery but of course the definition would be a lot better. Taking a quick look at some videos from the front camera so guys. This is how the k40 of Redmi looks like when you're using it for front vlogging check it out.

Now I can say the video on the front. Camera is not really that nice, not so sharp and probably hopefully, a firmer update, can correct this blurriness. Now this phone also comes with a Wi-Fi six and a Bluetooth 5.1. It also has a side mounted, fingerprint scanner, take a look, not bad, and this phone has a four thousand five hundred and twenty milliampere hours of battery supporting up to 33 watts of fast charging. I drain this phone down to 13 and charge it right back up to 100 using the default, cable and default charger, and I finished in just one hour and three minutes and my watt meter said that it can run up to 31 watts, which is for me almost close to 33 and using this phone.

For a few days, I can say that the battery can last roughly one day and a half is not more than that, and, of course, the snapdragon 8 series. It's a little power hungry, of course, but it gave you a lot of kicks so guys. What can you say about this phone? The Redmi k40? For me, it's really nice, of course, there's no doubt about that. Everything probably isn't upgrade, except that there's no in-screen fingerprint scanner and, of course, what I really miss is that pop-up camera. When you have that pop-up camera, you have the full screen to your own and probably watching movies and playing those games without that hole on your screen is gonna, be better than having it here on my phone.

So if you have any correction drop it on the comment section below don't forget to like to subscribe and, of course click that bell icon. So you don't miss any videos here from my channel, so I hope to see you on my next one. You.
