Pixel 3 XL to Pixel 3 Why I Made The Switch - Screen Comparison & Speaker Comparison

Hello this is RIC KY, the YouTube tech guy, hey guys. So today, I bring you a very special video, and it is my switching from the pixel 3 XL to the pixels 3. Now I did a whole 48-hour review with the pixel 3 XL. It's now been a little over a week since that happened, and overall I'm just going over the switch and what I'm going to do and why I'm doing this to begin with, so as I unbox, this, basically a big reason why I'm doing this is because I really wasn't satisfied with the pixel 3xl, as you saw in my first unboxing with it, it had a blue tint issue. Now I, don't know if this will have the same one, but obviously I wasn't too happy to see that as I had that big issue with the two XL, so I'm, just like man I just can't catch a break. The second thing is that you know had a horrible experience with the whole notch part now I do use an app called nacho notch, which is a great way to hide the notch, and it does things really well and with using this, though, it basically gave me the same kind of screen size as the pixel 3.

However, with the pixel 3 I get a much, much smaller footprint and about the same screen size. So, as you can kind of see, with this I'm getting close to the same screen that I'm already getting but I, don't know if the bad life will be that much difference. I got about 6 hours of screen on time for a heavy usage day with the pixel 3 XL, and I'm going to see how the battery life is on the pixel 3. But why am I switching to it? Well, because I'm, a YouTuber I need a pixel 3 to compare to when the galaxy has 10 comes out when the g8 comes out. These are all phones of Mon who need 8, pixel 3 to compare them to so.

For that reason, I need a pixel overall. The camera was perfect on the three XL again I did show some sample photos when I did the initial video of my returning of this, but I hope that Google does improvements to the notch, and you know there is a big RAM issue with this. It's crashed several times, apps, which I had never expected out on that flagship. Nonetheless, a Google flagship, alright guys so now that I have everything set up. I do want to address why it wasn't that big of a deal for me to switch so because I use an app called nacho notch I like to keep this curved around each side.

However, this does make a screen look different depending on what screen you're on. So, for instance, this looks about the same size actually right now, if you close to where the black bars are it's 5.6, verse 5.5. So not that big of a difference really here right, 5.5 5.6, it wasn't that big of a deal. For me, however, to other users, you are going to go. If you hide the notch, you are going to go from a 5.5 to a 5.7, eight so about you, know 5.9. You could round up and do it that way so about 5.9-inch screen. So that's point four inch difference.

So if that's important to you, that's what you're trading off, but let's go ahead and take a look at the speaker quality as well, because that is one thing that a lot of people say you do downgrade on here with that. So let's go ahead and check these out start off with this one I know they're meant to be so. Let's talk, I promise. I will be there for you no time in your darkest hour on your brightest day. I will be there for you baby when you be there for you baby, when you call home, so I will say between the two.

Yes, this is louder, but this sounds better again. I haven't done any tweaking to the speakers. These are out of the box, so not really sure again. If something is playing with it, but as far as I know, I haven't installed anything that should mess with the audio equalizers I literally just started this song open the app for the first time. So overall I will say the speakers I actually prefer these I.

This is louder, but this sounds better. That makes any sense and then finally, let's go over. Let's see I haven't really checked it out as much. But let's see, if there's a blue tint issue with this one too, because, as you know, I had one with this, so I actually will say this has less blue tint I'm looking at it from every angle and the bigger one seems to have the blue tint issue more so than the smaller one like. You can immediately notice that turn that gray turns blue, whereas this one it doesn't both are I disabled, both night modes right now and yeah overall I have to, say I'm happy with this again I like this smaller form factor right now for it and yeah I, don't regret it so far, we'll see how the battery runs we'll start doing our battery test tomorrow and really see how this runs all the way through.
