BlackBerry KEYone Real Audio Review: All work and no play? | Pocketnow

One area often overlooked in tech reviews, smartphone audio quality blackberry built its reputation around productivity, but does that mean some entertainment features for this phone might have been overlooked? Let's take a look and a listen to the BlackBerry key one, starting off with the speaker for the symmetrical vents on the bottom or this forehead bezel. Unfortunately, we don't get stereo audio, but key. One is a loud and clear performer for a mono bottom firing solution to my ears, following just behind more premium options like the LG G six. This is more than adequate for ringtones alerts and speakerphone calls. The position of the speaker should prevent users from blocking it off and especially with the hardware keyboard, encouraging more portrait use the headphone jack, unfortunately, isn't quite as satisfying running our collection of tests, the key one performed at the bottom of the pack, even behind the LG g5 for quality and amp output, the phone can play 32-bit audio files, but all playback is truncated to 16-bit, and these are some of the poorer numbers we've seen for signal-to-noise and distortion disappointing. As we know, TCL can make some solid audio hardware included in the box are a respectable pair of earbuds.

They pair nicely with the key one and music sounds pretty good at reasonable volumes. They run a touch on the Basie side. Low-Frequency audio can get a bit boom, but these are a good option to include in the price of the phone. One note on the earbud casing: I had an easier time getting the right fit on these by twisting them up and running the cable over the top of my ear. So let's wrap this up.

Where does that leave us with the BlackBerry key one in the hole we get? What the focus is here? This is a corporate phone, a work phone, a getting to done phone and the speaker is right on point for that. Aesthetic, though we'd be lying. If we said we weren't a bit disappointed by the headphone jack just because the phone is dressed up in a suit and tie doesn't can occasionally loosen that tie and enjoy a martini. Unlike the camera performance, where we were pleasantly surprised by photo and video output here, it feels like blackberry, covered the basics and went no further. It has a headphone jack.

It's plenty capable for handling calls, especially with the included headset and that's good enough. But with this price tag we have to wonder if good enough really is good enough, as always thanks, so much for watching be sure to subscribe to this channel for our full blackberry, ki1 coverage, including our real camera review and hi maids in depth.
