Pixel 3 Leaked Unboxing - Is Google Lying to us?

Okay, we are definitely in some uncharted territory here, the pixel three and pixel three excel. These bones are not releasing until October, and yet we have a professionally done crystal-clear unboxing of one. How is that possible? So if you haven't already seen the video, it is a two-minute silent, unboxing, followed by some of the weirdest creepiest footage I've seen in a while. What is this girl doing? He's got this strange, instrumental playing in the background, and it's been a long time since I've seen a video that has made me that uncomfortable and so from the comments, the forums and the experts in the field. We've got four main theories as to what could be going on here, so we're going to go through them, one by one and come to some sort of conclusion about which one seems the most legitimate. The first one is that this is part of a commercial and, to be honest, I'm not sold on the idea, but before we dismiss it completely, you can see why people might think this.

The timing adds up. The fern screen shows that this video was recorded on the 6th of July, and, given that the phone is launching in early October, that is around the time, you would expect a commercial to be filmed also. What are the chances that someone outside of Google capable of making a video this good got hands on with the phone three months in advance? There's also the cinematic quality of the video. This isn't just some blurry photo taken by an amateur with their smartphone we're talking a 1080p video captured by two DSLR cameras that are simultaneously recording speaking of cinematic quality. If you head over to their Instagram page, you can see a bunch of posts of the phone from the front that almost look too perfect to be true.

There isn't a single reflection on the screen in any of these shots, which makes it look a lot like promotional material. You've also got that Google Home Mini, that's sitting in the shot, which obviously could have just been placed there to look nice as a prompt, but is also what Google would do in their commercial to emphasize the ecosystem they're trying to build. Not to mention there are no words, you would think if a publication had gone to all that effort to get an exclusive early prototype of the phone that they'd at least tried to cover it properly add a voice-over or at least talk about what was going on, at least if this is footage for a commercial, it would kind of explain why there's no commentary on top and also notice how all rough around the edges, the video is, it kind of looks like the woman is being told to move between a bunch of different poses. It looks like footage that was shot to be cut up now. The only thing against this.

The reason that I personally don't think it's promotional material is that this video isn't posted by just some random channel, although they only have a couple of hundred followers. It looks like this is the official YouTube channel for in digit well seems like a pretty legit Russian and news publication. Also, there are some really obvious things wrong here, like the woman's pose and clothes changing after she takes her photo and if we look closer spelled incorrectly. Google is not going to spell Google incorrectly, and this actually adds weight to our fourth possibility, which I'll get to in a minute and just on a bit of a side note. If you do enjoy Android and smartphone news content like this, then it would mean a lot to me if you could smash the subscribe button down below.

So the second one I've seen scrolling primarily through the comments. Some people are convinced that the entire thing is a hoax planned by Google to lower our expectations and that they will completely surprise us all on the day of launch. The issue with that. Is that what we're seeing here lines up perfectly with many leaks from many sources. If this was true, it would mean that every case leaked every display, League all the leaks of the phones being spotted in public on the tube and outdoors.

It would all have to have come originally from Google. That's not to say it's impossible. You can't completely dismiss it, but at the same time it would be a real industry. First, we have never before reached a stage where we've seen so much of a phone, and it's been wrong. So, while I don't think the theory is true, if by some miracle it does end up turning out to be true, then Google is going to weigh in troll of the year.

Number three is that this is actually a counterfeit product and has nothing to do with Google and I can relate to this one. It's not uncommon to see counterfeit versions of high tier phones like this, even ones that haven't been released. Yet we even unbox one on this channel a few weeks ago, but clones have never looked this good because they're usually selling for one to two hundred dollars. These clones have always come with thick bezels and software that doesn't quite match. So if the phone we're seeing here is a counterfeit device, then fair play to whoever made it, because it's the most convincing one I've ever seen, and something which does kind of reinforce this idea of it being a counterfeit phone.

Is that in all of this footage we're seeing of it? Nobody ever uses the device, and this leads us on to the fourth theory- that what we're seeing here is because of a genuine ax, and this to me seems like the most plausible. Even if it's still unheard of the current story is that a Ukrainian black market dealer is the culprit. A batch of phones is either stolen from Google or lost by Google at some point in the supply chain and ended up in hands of this mysterious vendor and from this, a lot of different sources have claimed to be contacted by someone offering to sell them a pixel 3xl for exactly two thousand dollars and, of course, as you've seen, some parties have got their hands on this phone and there's one blogger who has even taken camera samples from it. It is kind of weird that we haven't already seen more about the phone. You would think that these bloggers and these publications, they've paid two thousand dollars to get their hands on an early prototype, would at least cover it properly to get more out of it.

I mean they've already crossed a bit of a legal line by buying and possessing what could potentially be stolen goods. So I don't know. You would think that if they're going to leak it they might as well do it profit. This also doesn't explain how Google is spelled wrong, but my hunch is that what you're seeing here is actually an email address? Maybe the email address used by the dealer to contact buyers, so I'm siding with the fourth one. This is probably what happened.

Well, I've never heard of in digit, and the YouTube channel looks like it's. Only just been set up, their site seems legit, it's populated with articles, and they have actually followed up with two more videos on other phones that we know exist, shot on the same desk. So it's likely that this pixel 3xl unboxing video was not some random one off the specs of the pixel 3xl have also trickled out and all there's nothing there that immediately grabs the eye: a snapdragon 845, 3,430 million power battery and a 12 megapixel camera. I'm intrigued to see the new pixel visual core in action on that camera and the apparent wide-angle camera on the front for selfies, alright guys so having quite possibly seen 90% of the hardware here. What do you think? Will you be waiting out for the pixel 3 XL, or do it specifications just not really excite you? Let me know in the comments below my name is Aaron.

This is Mr. who's, the boss, and I'll catch. You guys next time.
