OnePlus 9 vs. Galaxy S21 Plus - Which is Better?

OnePlus IS ON BOTTOM, SAMSUNG, IS, ON TOP, so in today's video we're going to compare the OnePlus 9 versus the galaxy, s21 plus, and I'll leave a link in the description below with current pricing and more information. But there are a few differences that you might want to consider. So let's go ahead and get started. One thing that's really similar on these: two phones is going to be the screen. Both of these are really nice and sharp. You get up to 2k resolution on YouTube, they're, both 120 hertz, refresh rate, and they're.

Both AMOLED displays. Now you do get a slightly larger 6.7 inch on the Samsung versus 6.55 on OnePlus, but they actually do feel pretty much the same width and size when you have them next to each other, although I will mention the galaxy, s21 plus does feel a tad lighter and thinner, but they're, both nice and big and easy on the eyes I like both quite a bit actually weird thing is the one plus screen does seem to be a little brighter than Samsung. Now, when it comes to battery life in these two phones, they're both perfect. As expected, you get a 4500 William hour battery on the OnePlus 9 and a 4800 William hour on Samsung. During my battery drain test, OnePlus lasted 11 hours before dying, and that's perfect, but not as good as the galaxy s 21 plus, which actually lasted 14 hours.

Both also have wireless charging, and they've got pretty good fast charging as well, although it is going to be quite a bit faster on the OnePlus 9, because we're talking 65 watt charging versus 25 watt charging on Samsung. The speakers are nice and loud on both of these, and you can't really go wrong with either the speaker by the earpiece is not quite as loud as the bottom firing speaker, but that seems to be pretty common with dual speaker setups, like this. Here's, a quick sample of each just to give you an idea of what they sound like. So I finally got one of the new legacy edition cabinets from arcade one up and I have to say I was pretty excited when I saw these announced. I know some people that bought the earlier wave, 1 and wave 2 cabinets might not be too excited because they probably already got these games, but for the people like me, who held off on buying them or just wasn't able to get them for one reason or another, it's a pretty sweet deal.

So I finally got one of the new legacy edition cabinets from arcade one up and I have to say I was pretty excited when I saw these announced. I know some people that bought the earlier wave one and wave two cabinets might not be too excited because they probably already got these games, but for the people like me, who held off on buying them or just wasn't able to get them for one reason or another, it's a pretty sweet deal now. You're going to get eight gigabytes of ram on both phones, you're also going to get a snapdragon 888 on both phones as well. Now you can see here. The geek bench scores are a little higher on OnePlus versus the galaxy s21 plus, but both phones are nice and snappy, and you're not gonna, find too many phones that have better performance than these.

Two. Now, when it comes to gaming, you're going to get HD graphics, with high frame rates on both phones. When playing PUBG mobile, I tested both on PUBG mobile Call of Duty, mobile and asphalt, 9. And yeah. If you want a perfect gaming phone, these are two of the best out there.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one, but for me, I prefer Samsung, but only because the selfie camera placement when it's down in the corner, it's usually blocking important information on the game on plane. Nice thing is you get a triple camera setup on both of these OnePlus has a 48 megapixel main camera, a 50 megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2 megapixel monochrome, which I don't really get why they put that on there, then, on the galaxy s 21 plus it has a 12, megapixel, wide angle, lens 12, megapixel ultra-wide and a 64 megapixel telephoto. When testing the cameras, I would show some of these photos to my wife just to get a second opinion, and surprisingly, she actually liked the OnePlus photos better than Samsung. I guess she thought Samsung was doing too much processing on their photos. I don't know if I agree with that on all photos, but here see what you think.

Just from these samples. Weird thing is: Samsung looks better at ultra-wide angle, with better details and overall quality, but yet the ultra-wide angle on OnePlus is higher resolution or more megapixels. So I was sort of surprised to see that and then another strange thing is when zooming in on the OnePlus phone I feel like it looks just as good or even better in some cases than the telephoto lens on Samsung, so regardless of which phone you pick, you're going to get perfect photos, but as far as which one's better, I think it's just going to come down to personal preference and then, when it comes to the selfie camera, it's definitely better. On Samsung, it's just really tough to beat Samsung when it comes to selfie cameras, even on their cheaper phones. If you're wondering if the cameras are better on the OnePlus 9 than the OnePlus 8t yeah, it's a little better, not drastic, but you can definitely see the difference.

Uh, hey, hey now! For me, the fingerprint scanner is a little more comfortable on the s21 plus I'm not sure why they decide to put it lower on the OnePlus 9. It still works good on the OnePlus, just kind of odd decision to lower it, and I think I do like the software slightly better on OnePlus, but now that I've used Samsung for a little while I'm starting to like it. I do miss the alert slider though that's on OnePlus phones and there's small things like the lock screen shortcuts are a little better on OnePlus. I can't even skip forward on podcasts without unlocking the Samsung phone, so it's definitely easier on OnePlus when it comes to that you will get the latest and greatest software updates on the galaxy phone for a little longer than on OnePlus. But I don't think that's really a big issue.

Considering most people switch phones after two or three years. I do like the software on both of these and like a lot of these categories that are so close, I think it's just going to come down to personal preference. Now, probably the biggest thing to consider is going to be the price of these two phones. If you buy these phones unlocked from their website the galaxy s 21 plus, is going to be 999 and the OnePlus 9 is only 7.29, so you're definitely going to get better value with the OnePlus 9. Another thing to point out is you can choose between five different colors for the s21 plus, and you only get two colors right now in the United States on the OnePlus 9 for some reason: they're not releasing the blue color.

I don't know. Maybe that'll come out later so, as you can see, there's a lot to consider between these two phones, but both of these are perfect options. If you're considering an android phone, that's got a big screen. Good battery life perfect cameras, some of the best performance you can find on mobile phones, but because these two are so close in performance and features to me, it just doesn't make sense to pay 200 more for the galaxy s 21 plus, but we'll see if I feel the same about that, because I'm going to switch to the OnePlus 9 as my daily driver for at least a month or two to see how it goes. So if you've made it this far into the video, you may want to say thanks by subscribing and don't forget, to give a thumbs up.
