REAL Differences Between Smartwatches, Explained

What's up guys high here from high tech reviews, something important needs to be cleared right now, as there are many types of smartwatches, yet they are all called smartwatches, and it's confusing to the people. So what is the definition of a smartwatch? Well, this is oxford's definition, a mobile device with a touchscreen display designed to be worn on a wrist, so that is quite vague, and that means that every watch you see, including the basic fitness trackers, are classified as smartwatches. However, there are of course, different levels. Now we have three different categories of smartwatches. Now the first category is full-featured. Smartwatches- and here are a few examples.

Now, what's common about all of these watches, is you will get an app store, downloadable, apps third-party app support? You will have internal storage for music you'll, be able to make and receive phone calls directly on the watch, including responding to messages and text messages, etc. So it's giving you a near mobile phone like experience on your wrist and let me show you what they are. So we've got the tic watch pro 3 running, google Wear OS. We've got Samsung Galaxy watch, Samsung, galaxy watch three, and we've got the active two. Now all of these watches are running galaxy's, ti zen OS and the ti zen OS has come a long way, and it will give you an action-packed smartwatch experience.

Now here's something different, the blaze four six, it's a full android, smartwatch, it's running, android 10 you've got a camera on the front and a camera on the side. The battery life is also pretty decent and because you've got full android, you can go ahead and download any app. You like from the play store, including games. Apps camera apps, Snapchat WhatsApp. You can do it all with this watch, so that's a full android smartwatch and the last one is of course Apple Watch.

So any Apple Watch you buy will give you full-featured smartwatch abilities- and here is the second category of smartwatches, and this one is called the premium. Smart fitness watches premium in design and build, but they are no more than just fitness trackers, so I'll go through them. We've got the Huawei watch gt2 pro we've got the Huawei watch gt2 pro. Definitely one of the most beautiful looking smartwatches. We have seen this year, the amaze fit GTR 2 again great, looking watch the honor watch gs pro, and this is a rugged military standard.

Smartwatch again very nice build quality and design, something on the lower end of the spectrum. We have the honor watch, BS you're, still getting that AMOLED, goodness with a slightly cheaper, build quality and unique design, and finally, the honor magic watch 2. Now all of these watches have a few things in common. They are all AMOLED smartwatches. They are well-designed.

Furthermore, they give the appearance of a full-featured expensive, smartwatch. Some of these at launch were priced nearly three hundred dollars, but they are not full-featured smartwatches. They are predominantly fitness trackers. They have been designed to look like proper full-featured, smartwatches. Some of them are so premium in quality that you will immediately think that you are buying a full-featured.

Smartwatch now absolutely nothing wrong with these smart fitness watches. You will get built in GPS, multiple health, sensors, automatic sleep, tracking, 5 ATM water resistance and much better battery life than a full-featured smartwatch. So we are talking about 14 days battery life when compared to the three days you get on the Samsung Galaxy watch. So yes, the galaxy watch will give you a full-featured smartwatch experience. But if fitness is your ultimate goal, then maybe you need to consider a premium.

Smart fitness watch, so you get the fitness tracking and the premium look at the same time, and there is one more category, so let's just bring it on now. Here is your final category of smartwatches and there's no doubt and confusion in this one. These are your smart fitness band and your basic fitness watches. So me band, 5, very affordable. You will usually get these watches for under 50 dollars.

They're, usually plastic build very rarely. Do you get AMOLED display, but the band 5 actually does have an AMOLED display and that's something new? They brought with this version, and it's a great looking screen for the price. You've got the halo, smartwatch, 2, affordable in price plastic, build quality, accurate health tracking basic step, counter, auto sleep, tracking, etc. So another basic fitness tracking, smartwatch and the final example is the new blaze GTS. You can see the trend here.

IPS displays plastic, build quality, very light and basic fitness tracking capabilities. So there you have it guys. To sum it all up. You have three categories: the full-featured smartwatches, which will give you close to smartphone abilities, but not so great battery life. You have the premium smart fitness watches, which will give you style, but predominantly great fitness and health tracking, so no app downloads or no third party app support, but great health and fitness tracking and super battery life and the third and final category, the affordable under fifty dollar fitness bands and watches.

Now I made this video to clarify things, not everyone out. There knows the difference, and also it's not straight away obvious. I've heard comments like the galaxy watch only lasts three days, whereas the Huawei watch will last 14 days, but you have to understand they are in different leagues, even though they are priced similar. They are totally different leagues. You can do a lot more with the galaxy watch, even with that low battery.

It's like having a mobile phone on your wrist, so it requires more power to operate, whereas the Huawei watch will give you just great fitness tracking and a superb look. So that is the difference. People and everyone has their own requirements of what type of watch they want. Some people want the extra features and flexibility. Some people only want premium fitness.

Some people are happy with basic, affordable fitness tracking. So I hope you found this video useful. Any questions feel free to fire them at me in the comments, and I'll do my best to respond asap. Thank you so much for watching, and I hope you all have a brilliant day. I'll see you guys in the next one.

You.
