Google Pixel 4 vs Pixel 3 vs Pixel 2 Camera Test | Pixelated!

That I'm here again, so just like this time. Two years ago now, when I got the pics of 2x, our did a video comparing the pixel to a DSLR camera. Now, as you just saw a moment ago, and now it picks a for Excel and, of course, the old iPhone like this obviously I'm. Looking at a new iPhone 11 guys come on, you got on a bed and that, but of course pics was for Excel pixel to excel here, and it's going to do a camera test. So before we go into this property, let me so like the last time I did a video I was in Newport and since then, I've moved back into Bristol, which is quite cool, and let me show you my room just very briefly: it's substantially smaller, substantially Messier, but regardless at least we're in the same city as where I started right so yeah going into it now. So the only that I walk around of my pixel 4 and pixel.

Two I also went around my pics with free excel because I have some wonderful assistants, so yeah we're going to go through some pictures now, of course, they're all Excel versions, because we go big, or we go nowhere and yeah. Let's, let's go through and see what the results are. So I'm going to be honest, like I'm, going to spoil the results right now before we get into it and I want. To be honest, the results are pretty, pretty damn close compared to the pixel to pixel for pixel, for obviously there are noticeable improvements from phone to phone, especially if I was at night mode and of course, the telephoto lens in a pixel for Excel. But, as you can see here like this, might sort of the fairest row and Bristol like it's kind of hard to differentiate between the free pictures.

Of course, we have a normal one. Here we have the zoom, 2x, zoom or just Doubleday regular zoom, whichever at 82 and then a max out zoom, and you can see in this final shot here that picks off work, so course handles the zoom. So much better like it's a lot less noise, you just kind of see more detail and the support mechanism for the wheel, but generally the necessary process. The histogram is going to compress anywhere and order free. All three of them will look very, very similar I mean obviously if it comes to like if you're talking about pure quality, and you want to edit it later or whatever then yeah.

Of course, the four is a lot less noisy a lot of pictures. You can see the four is a lot less noisy, but I mean it goes about saying that depicts with to excel, even though it's two years old, it's still a very, very, very good camera on a smartphone, and it just goes to show that computational photography has come, has come such a long way from where I was four years ago compared to, whereas now, especially when you see phones like the iPhone, 11, and they're. Also, taking some amazing pictures nowadays like this one here at the punning, is something that actually quite lights, because the detail I mean it's interesting, where you see the three and the four to focus more on the background like the tree, the pumpkin itself. Sorry is a lot more sharp, whereas the pixel two seems to be more broad like the tree in a background about my sir, but all in all is really, really interesting. I think the biggest differentiator here is on my site, where you can see.

The pathway in this picture is a lot more detail as to say on the 4xl compared to the two and, of course, two free. As far as zoom goes I mean I was like he'd mentioned in the free, the four Sawyer's. Obviously, a lot better when it comes to individual quality and detail and stuff like it's a lot less noisy, it's a bit more sharp. But if you compare these free images here of the Wood Memorial Building like it's very personally, if I was is I saw something on social media when it's way already compressed, then it's like obviously different screens, have different quality and stuff it'll be hard to pick which one of these free is a better picture. I mean obviously now you're looking at normal quality, and you can quite clearly sound before is better most, notably because of Windows.

You can see, is more detail on the windows, but, as I mentioned it's, it is quite, quite hard to pick the best one another clear sign here. We see the Boris picture if you zoom in from these all taking the same spot and just alternating phones. But if you look at the number on the chest of Boris Johnson of the drawing here, all the two you can see is quite faded and on the free, it's a bit of just kind of there, but on the four is very sharp. You can see the numbers clearly 1305 like it's very it's more of a Sharpies being on a bit of less noisy as if I was looking better if that kind of makes sense. But us I think another thing here recorded free, very short videos, and you can see that I mean people.

Don't people always shame to hit the pixel camera for a video, because it's awful compared to the iPhone, and I'm. Not going to lie that that holds true for the pics or to and to me on its pixel free as well as quite bad, but I actually think the pixel for here handles it very, very well, especially when you zoom in, is very smooth. It's very like compose it slow like there's no lag, it doesn't shake a lot. Stabilization is quite good, and even when I'm panning across there, you can see that despite there being like it's, not it's not a cinema quality video by any means it's actually a lot better than what before and I personally feel like I, have a little problem using this camera anymore. Before in the past, I would be reluctant to use video, but this actually records very, very well, and you can see the difference straightaway compared to the two and the free, like it's so much more, cleaner, so much nice.

So it's not much smoother and video really has come a very, very long way. Of course, it's nowhere near what iPhone has like the iPhone camera is still by far the best video, but this you know this is it. I can live with this. Last but not least, so you can see the main differences between a human portrait, so you can see the skin tones and stuff in the background and different variations. Of course, portrait mode and zooming in and things like that, and I'm going to be honest.

Looking at these pictures now side by side, it's kind of hard to tell which one is which obviously I'll know which ones which, but they do look very, very good in all three of the phones. The main difference here is that the four handles portrait mode a lot better where you can see the gradient shifts over time, whereas the two in comparison, even though it's a few years older, it's not quite as good. It's a lot you can kind of tell was taken by a smartphone which I mean it was, of course it's not a camera, but you can see here all these cameras, like these free pictures. I just showed you here with the flowers. The last three were all taken on the pics or two, and they were all taken to portrait mode, but none of them have any portrait mode.

But if you look at the one taken under free here, for example- and then again here on the four, you can straightaway see the free computer differently. The background is all blurred out as you'd expect it to be, and then the force is a lot more realistic like if you look at the wall on the left-hand side of the plant, it just looks so, so good, so sharp crisp, and it's a bit more cartoonish, I, guess and compare tablets in your life. But it is still an amazing picture and I come back to think. I was taken by a smartphone, as is quite insane good. If you look at a final picture here of the, don't know what these are two beauties: that flower, like things, the four does look like so much better than the other three I think the free is quite nice.

The problem with the two is the only focus on the front one, so you can only really see the very first one and against blurry straightaway and then the fries okay, but the forehand was at so, so well. The edges are amazing. Education is incredible. You can see the first free, almost the first four in good detail, it's not too blurry yet, and then it gradually gets more and more blurred, and just it must look so much better. So under four, compared to the two and again competitor free, fundamentally like in terms of our general use, this camera is unbelievable.

I feel like I found myself stopping more often or taking more pictures on before and I have had before in any smartphones, because I feel that much more confident, even if it's a regular finger, it could be a normal wall like you see the regular wall in this background with me in front of it, but it still just looks like such a good picture purely because, like I mean the colors are great, don't get me wrong, it's a nice background, but the pixel just the pixel was something different. I'm, not gonna lie of things. Just are so much nicer of it. So I mean that's basically it in a nutshell. You can look through these again.

If you want to go back through and see which ones were. Your favorite I personally think is a no-brainer I think the four is better in every single category ahead and the other ones, but even still others keep saying it's not very far like it's not, therefore, isn't that much better than the two to make you want to spend all the money, and it's a thing where of course, pixel 4 is going to get after photography. Soon, but for me who lives in London, a study in Bristol like I'm, never going to get low enough light pollution level, so you eat after photography. The telephoto lens, of course, is best to under 4 because out. She has one, but when you considered a super resumed, pixel has anyway it's not it's, not substantial team I'm not going to lie.

I mean I used to disagree with marques, Brown lee and all the other reviewers when they were saying they wanted the wide-angle lens, but now that I'm, looking at in real life like I, don't really the telephoto lens is cool, but I, don't think it's this needed to be I, don't think it needed like, especially for me that what I do is posts on social media or something, and I'm, not going to notice. This difference much especially as I said. It's going to be compressed, and things like that, so yeah I mean that's it. Obviously, if you on the latest and greatest get before, it's also got pics, or I believe in euro chip, and it's more six gigs of RAM, so we're handles a lot better, of course, Snapdragon a 55. So as far as speed is concerned and taking pictures and things like that, then yeah, if you want a processing- and it's quote one other cool thing- I- should use live processing so under on the screen.

It actually shows you how it's gonna. Look when it's taken, whereas on a two and a three you'll take it first then later process, and you realize that looks different and also under for the two sliders you can change the shadows and the brightness, but other than that, like if you're just going to be taking point in a shoot, pull down your pocket. Take a picture. Put it back in your pocket, then I honestly think them two the two TO is still very, very good, so yeah I mean that's basically, of course, as I said go back for. If you want to see some more I'm going to be posting a lot these on my edge Graham anyway.

Just because that's what it's going to be useful for, but yeah. That's basically it for me anyway. So if you enjoyed don't forget to subscribe, like drop a comment, all of that, and I'll chat to you guys very, very soon,.
