So in today's video we're going to take a look at the tab, p11 pro tablet by Lenovo, I'm pretty sure this is their first pro tablet, and you've got two different models to choose from. It starts at five hundred dollars for the model that has four gigabytes of ram, and the one we've got here are fifty dollars more with six gigabytes of ram, but both versions have 128 gigabytes of storage, but all the other specs are pretty much the same between the two models. So it's really up to you. If you want to pay fifty dollars more for two more gigabytes of ram, it comes with a snapdragon 730 g processor, android, 10 11.5 inch display at 1600 2560x1600, and it's got Bluetooth 5.0. This is definitely the largest tablet that I've seen so far from Lenovo nice thing is they're advertising. This is ultra slim and light, and the 11.5 inch display is a 2k OLED panel. It also has four JBL speakers: let's go ahead and open it up and see what we've got: okay, so yeah.
This actually feels really lightweight looks like we've got a 20 watt, fast charger and then, of course, the USB charging cable really nice length on this one, especially compared to what you get from Samsung micro, SD card removal tool and, of course, you've got. A quick start guide looks like you've got a fingerprint scanner right on the power button. That's always nice yeah. This actually feels thinner than the Galaxy Tab. S7 there.
On the left hand, side is your speakers, micro, SD card tray and power button, I kind of like that they got two separate buttons for the volume up and down. It also looks like two microphones there along the top and then on the opposite side. You've got the other two speakers and USB charging port and then along the bottom is your Pogo pins, so I'm definitely going to have to look and see if they have an official keyboard case for this, because on their website it sort of looks like they do. This definitely looks premium there on the back very similar, build quality to a Galaxy Tab. S7.
You even have two cameras there on the back with a flash. It definitely looks like this is made from a magnetic case to snap onto the back. Just by how far the cameras stick out when setting this up you've got face, recognition, fingerprint pattern, pen and password, I have to say the screen looks perfect in person. I really like how they're doing the screen brightness on this. It's nice and thick you've also got two front facing cameras on this, which is definitely pretty unique for a tablet.
It's using about 17 of storage right out of the box looks like it's already installing a system update like I said earlier currently on android 10. Furthermore, it does have the Lenovo like little news, feed with videos and stuff. But personally I just don't see myself using that. I do like it that it does have the Google News feed though one swiping to the right on the home screen. Here's a quick size, comparison against the Galaxy Tab s7.
It is just a little taller and maybe a hair thinner and even just a little wider, so yeah. This Lenovo is a big boy. One thing to keep in mind is you: do get an s pen with the Galaxy Tab s7 where it looks like you have to buy one separately with Lenovo fingerprint scanner seems to work pretty good on here, definitely not as easy as say, an iPad that has it right on the front, but still not bad. It also has a kids space and then right there on the home screen. You can go through the tips to learn more about the Lenovo software.
You've got stuff, such as a scrolling screenshot, quick camera by double tapping on the power button. Poor system update you can switch to the gesture navigation, but for me, I just like the buttons down at the bottom. It's just a little faster looks like you've also got portrait mode when using the camera. You've also got quite a few other features to look through on here. So I'm not going to cover everything in this video.
I want to keep it somewhat short. Looks like you've got some pre-loaded apps here, such as Amazon, music, the Google Assistant bamboo paper being wallpapers google fit. Then you've got several google apps, such as Google Pay home maps pretty much all the essential apps by google. You've also got Netflix YouTube YouTube. Kids.
You've also got a sound recorder and user guide. Finally, one of the few Lenovo tablets that you get full HD on Netflix. You get 1440p resolution on YouTube videos up in the notification shade you get pretty much all the typical stuff, such as auto brightness, auto rotate location, screenshot, screen recorder, smart navigation, airplane mode battery saver and screencast then under Dolby. You got dynamic, movie, music and custom settings. Here's a quick, sound test just so you can see what the speakers sound like still nice and thick, but I think the Logitech's just a little softer all right.
So now, let's go ahead and start testing. These out. You'll definitely use headphones for the next part of the video, because I'm going to do a mic test on each of these and give you my thoughts about which one sounds better and which one's more comfortable. This is a mic test for the Logitech light speed g733, okay. So the speakers on this actually sound, perfect and, as expected, yeah they're really loud.
Definitely right up there with some of the best speakers that I've heard on a tablet. So far, it also has pretty slim bezels around the screen as well. Let's take a quick look at the camera, app pretty fast shutter speed on here I have to say the camera doesn't look quite as clear or crisp as I thought it would be. Nice thing is you've, got a wide angle lens for video and photo not quite as high resolution on the wide angle, but the regular camera actually looks pretty decent. Unfortunately, you don't get 4k resolution on this.
Only 1080p when shooting video with the front and rear cameras, here's a few samples of photos and video just to give you an idea of what to expect okay. So, unfortunately, when taking photos with this new tablet by Lenovo, it's definitely not what I would consider a pro camera. In fact, it feels very much like a budget camera and probably worse than that on a budget cell phone. It struggles with low light situations, just like a lot of other tablets. Cameras out there and in the results are just not as good as I thought they would be.
The details aren't quite as good as I thought they would be as well, and the same thing goes for video, not great results, but maybe slightly better than other Lenovo tablets. I've tried so far. Uh me when gaming on this tablet, I played games such as pub g mobile Call of Duty, mobile and asphalt 9. It also looks like this is one of the few tablets where you can install Fortnite, while they all three seem to play pretty smooth. I felt, like the graphics, didn't look quite as good as I thought they should be.
I mean everything played nice and smooth for the most part, but I don't feel like it looks quite as good as say the Galaxy Tab, s7 or iPad Air which are close to this price category. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this plays games bad or anything. It just doesn't look quite as detailed or doesn't load games as fast as I was expecting for a tablet with the word pro in the name. Having said that, this is probably one of my favorite tablets by Lenovo so far, but performance and specs wise just doesn't measure up to something by apple or the s line of tablets by Samsung, which feels like higher resolution and smoother performance. When talking about whether this is worth 550 dollars, it makes it really tough to consider something like this over what Samsung and Apple have to offer, especially when they've been on sale lately for about 100 off the normal price.
Like I mentioned earlier, this is probably my new favorite tablet by Lenovo, and the build quality is perfect, probably right on par with Samsung and apple, and even though the tablet is sort of on the large side, it's nice and thin, which makes it a little easier to handle and even though it may not be Samsung and apple in the premium tablet space right now I really like where Lenovo is going now, they can just keep. This tablet updated over time which they should consider the price. I think they may be on to something I'm also going to keep my eye out for the official keyboard case, because I didn't see that available when I ordered this, but hopefully there will be some good third-party cases as well. You know I'll be doing a video on those I'll also be testing the battery life on this a little more to see how that goes. But my first impressions of the new p11 pro by Lenovo is yeah.
I like it quite a bit, even if it does feel slightly overpriced and not really a pro tablet.
