I still have a long way to go, but I'm really proud of myself. Now that my weight is getting under control, I went to the OB/GYN because I want to see if there's anything that can keep me from getting pregnant. What brings you both here today? Well, being a mother is, like, the world to me. Like, seriously. I can't express how much I want to be a mother.

So I got bariatric surgery. How much weight have you lost since then? Almost 100 pounds. CINDY: That's amazing. How much weight do you want to lose? How much more? Maybe 100 more. CINDY: OK.

The fat cells that you have in your body create a lot of estrogen, and it can make the ovaries not work very well, not produce eggs very well. So as you're dropping this weight, your fertility goes up. So you're more likely to get pregnant. CINDY: So we'll want to see you back maybe in six months, just to see where you sit with your weight, and then decide whether it's time to start trying to get pregnant. Looking good, Amy! I'm really proud of you.

I'm proud of Amy for losing 100 pounds. She just surprised me. And you know who you look like just now, with your hair fixed like that? You look just like your grandma, my mom. I really miss grandma. I wish she was here.
