ipad pro 2020 unboxing + setup ✏️🍎 apps and accessories

Hey, I, like your song, hey guys, welcome back to my channel and in today's video I'm doing an unboxing of the new iPad Pro 11 inch 2020 model and the Apple Pencil. I've been saving up for this for a very, very long time. The fact that I actually have it in my hands is very surreal, but I'm going to be telling you guys, maybe what apps I plan on downloading and things like that. Let's start off with unpack aging this. So I just finished doing face ID, and I was in the process of connecting my phone to my iPad, but I didn't want all my photos to transfer, since I have about like 12 000 photos on my iPhone, so I'm just going to continue without setting it up. So while I download the apps, I guess here I can explain the purchase that I made.

So I got this using the student discount and I got free AirPods as a result and the iPad at a discounted price which is pretty cool and something I recommend that you buy the iPad with also. I know that a lot of people have a lot to say about making such a big purchase like this, but I feel like if you've been working hard, and you want to treat yourself, then there is honestly no problem with doing so. Whatever you want to purchase, you can purchase. So the screen protector that I got was a screen protector with a matte finish. So then writing on it will feel like writing on paper.

I know that that's been very popular among the YouTubers who do own iPad pros. So I made the purchase- and here I'm just sticking on these stickies to place the screen protector on properly, honestly. This took a good like 20 minutes, because I just did not understand how to put the screen protector on, but eventually I figured it out, and I also know this trick that I haven't seen a lot of people try, but basically you press on the screen protector on the bottom, and then you let the top just sit there, and the air bubbles will just close in on itself, which I think is pretty cool. I found that pushing out the bubbles with your own fingertips is definitely more effective than pushing it out. With this pushing thing, I have no idea what it's called, but overall, I like the feel of the matte screen protector, and so I popped in the case as well, and this is the final look of our iPad so before moving on to discussing the apps and how I customize my iPad, I'd like to thank fleshpot for sponsoring this video.

So fleshpot is a company that specializes in selling desks. They have a lot of unique desks, such as height adjustable desk, which is the one that I'm using right now and the one I'm about to show you standing desk converters, monitors and workstations, and so much more that you can't really find elsewhere. I've actually featured flex spot in my video about my desk transformation, where I assembled the electric desk that they sent me. I have been using this for a couple of weeks and I can definitely see that it helped with my posture and the fact that it's adjustable has definitely made everything so much easier for me. Furthermore, I can access things under my desk more often and whenever I feel like I've been slouching for too long.

Furthermore, I just adjust my desk and stand up while doing my work, so I have decided to assemble the next one they sent me in my dad's office. He is an architect, so this would definitely serve him. Well, we assembled it, and this is the final look. I really like how it is adjustable and can honestly fit anyone's needs. I am a student and this has definitely served me well.

My father is an architect and definitely when he looks at blueprints or does his work, he can adjust the desk. However, he pleases so, if you're looking to improve your posture or just improve your workspace overall, I definitely recommend this desk. It's totally worth it. I will leave everything down below huge. Thank you again to flexible for sponsoring this video and sending me the desks that I need to improve my workspace and let us get back into the video.

So just a little background. My iPad is in this trifold slim folio case. I switched it because I like this one, it's much more airy and light, but whenever I'm watching movies, I prop it up like so when I'm illustrating or writing something down. I prop it up upside down just like this, and that's basically it for my case for my screen protector. Furthermore, I ordered a matte screen protector, so I get that friction that you get on paper when you're writing with pen.

Furthermore, I absolutely love the texture. It is so helpful whenever I'm illustrating or writing something down. So I'm very happy that I purchased this so upon turning it on. You are greeted with a black gray and white lock screen, as well as a black home screen, and my iPad is in dark mode. So the structure of my iPad is that there are the widgets on the left and my apps on the right.

I prefer a more like condensed layout when it comes to a lot of my setups, so I customize my widgets to have the shortcut first, my calendar second and my battery percentage is third heading back up to shortcuts. Essentially, this is where I keep things that I want. Quick access to. The first thing is any upcoming events on my calendar. This is an app that I use mainly just for the widgets section, and the second shortcut is my planner in the good notes app moving on to the apps section.

The first thing that you see is this folder with every single app that I don't use. I did delete most of them, but these are the ones that I may need in the future, so I just keep them just in case I have news books, maps and stuff like that, and then I have this calendar app called fantastical. This is actually the one that I use only for widgets, because if you click on it, you do get to customize the events you have coming up, but you have to pay for the full version, so I just use it as a widget, and then I keep an app called selfie pen script, which is basically an extension app that you can add to your keyboard and all you have to do is write on it, and it will translate into text itself, which I think is very convenient because I don't like to type on the iPad, since the keyboard is so wide. So this grants me the ability to use my pen at all times. So that's all for my junk folder.

I guess you can call it and now moving on to the next app I have facetimed calendar, which is where I keep all my upcoming events, mainly just videos and planning and stuff like that, and then we continue on to the clock, photos, camera, apps notes and voice memo, iMovie and YouTube. So as I'm scrolling through I'm realizing that my algorithm is geared most towards the umbrella academy show and the cast members, and it's because I recently just finished season two so now, I'm just trying to fill the void with edit videos and cast member interviews. I just thought I should explain that since literally the entire cast is all over my home page, but um I'd like to take this as an opportunity to thank you guys for 40 000 subscribers. I did not know that I'd actually get somewhere with this account. So thank you so much for all the love that you send me and for interacting with me.

It truly means a lot, and it's been keeping me sane during quarantine. The next entertainment app that I have is Netflix and the names are weird because I share this with my family but um. I guess I could also take this as an opportunity to tell you what I like to watch. I usually watch a lot of k, dramas and 2000s room movies. It's so specific and kind of embarrassing that I like that kind of stuff, but I think that it's way better than the current rooms, like the kissing booth, I'm not a huge fan of that movie, but I also like to watch a lot of sci-fi movies.

My genre and preferences are very diverse for some weird reason, but anyways moving on to the next app. We have an app called flip, a clip, which is what I mainly use on my phone. I use this app to create animations for my videos, but now that I have a different app for animations. I don't use this as often and I plan on deleting it the next editing app. Is this app called pix art which I've been using for years, and this is what I used to edit my thumbnails and then the list goes on to reminders, app stores and this app called notion that I heard so much about, so I decided to download it and I plan on setting it up when school begins.

So right now it's just empty templates. Next up we have YouTube studio and then the Spotify app, I'm not sure. If I'm going to be using this, as often since I already have an iPhone that can play music but just a brief overview, I have this Hamilton playlist that I literally have always listened to for the past three years, and then I have this other playlist with Hamilton and a bunch of other musicals such as dear Evan Hansen and the greatest showman. I also listened to BTS and a bunch of other pop singers, but that is just a lot to show right now. So moving on to the next app the rest of the apps, I actually keep on the dock.

These are the ones that I use most often and the ones that I want to have easy access to. This app is procreated which I purchased, and it's basically where I designed my stickers and also designed the overlays and text for the doodle on my videos. Then I have all Villa and editing app where I edit my YouTube, videos and segments of my YouTube videos. I also have Gmail and good notes 5, which is basically where I keep my planners and a lot of my notes. I don't have a lot of notes at the moment since school hasn't started yet, but I plan on making separate, notebooks and folders for them.

Then we have our regular settings and safari and on the right, the three spots actually fill up the apps that I've used recently. I think this is mainly for split screen services. So if you want to add another app that used recently, you can just swipe up and put that to the side, but that is it for the home page of my iPad. I have no other pages, because I don't like swiping, and I just like everything on one page and in the control center. If you're interested, I customize it by adding screen, recording time, voice recorder and I think that's about it actually, so that is all for the iPad Pro 11 inches that I purchased and for this video.

Thank you so much for watching. I really enjoyed showing you guys what was on my iPad, I've seen so many people do this, and I was like I finally have the chance to actually unbox and give you guys a tour of what I like and what I downloaded and what I customized there's. Obviously a long way to go, because I just received the iPad- and this is me, customizing it after only a few days. But thank you again for watching, and I hope to see you in my next video you.
