Alcatel idealXtra 5059R AT&T First Unboxing & Review of the $49 ideal XTRA

Hey guys, are you going so today, I want to show you a phone that is exclusive for Walmart, and here is guys. This is the Alcatel ideal extra only at Walmart AT&T prepay, let's open it up and let's see how's this one about. So let's go through the specs, really quick. It says: Android, Oreo, okay, this is the Oreo goal or the regular Oreo. We don't know you're gonna check now, so it has 16 gigabytes internal storage, but you can upgrade it with a micros up to 128 gigabytes. Look at the screen, guys it's a 5.3 for inches FW, VGA 18 by 9 display with to the dragon trail glass in terms of the camera. We're going to have an Omega pixel on the main camera, and we're going to have a 5, megapixel, wide-angle selfie camera.

The battery is only 2400, 60 Williams, and it's a non-removable battery, and here is this guy. So let's see if it's Type, C or not- and this is a micro SD charger- Alcatel brand okay. So this is the phone. Let's check it out guys. This is the phone it looks.

It feels good on the hand. Look at that Alcatel, okay, you can see it guys, it's kind of got some texture on it, but it's very reflective, and it feels like plastic. You know it is plastic, but it's all you know some bags. For example the maybe and three has a nice ass smooth back this one you can feel is cheap, alright, and what else? So here is the Micro SD port, speaker, I, will say, probably speaker, singular I, don't think they have two speakers and here's the input jack, which is always good nowadays guys. This is the microphone, and we have the volume rockers here, and we have the power button, and you can see it has a not like up some kind of curve here.

I can tell you guys that it feels perfect in the hands alright. So let's peel this up all right, and now we're going to turn it on. First guys. You know this is an AT&T phone right. AT&T is always going to put a sim card on the phone already, so, let's take out the SIM card.

The first step, we're going to do is we're going to take out the SIM card, so this is probably gonna, be a SIM tray with a micro, SD trade. On the same spot, you see the SIM card just flew, let's turn it on and let's see what happens you guys, let's set up the phone first hi there? Alright! So let's start it guys start connect to mobile network. If you have a SIM card and set it now, I will say it skipped. So now it's gonna look for Wi-Fi and what happened if I just skip it connected to a network help you quickly set up. Your phone I will say continue, that's the only bad thing about not putting a SIM card or connecting to Wi-Fi.

You need to set up the time by yourself that we said our time. We're going to put a name. Now we don't need to put a name, protect your phone. Okay, I'm gonna, put not now. Let's keep it screen lot skipping away, Google services, I'm, gonna, deactivate this, the good click agree, and the phone is getting set up, got it and look at these guys.

Alright. So, let's, first, this check the brightness yeah the brightness was low. Let's put it all the way out guys all the way up alright. So what do you think about the phone guys? You know I can tell that it tries to be a copy of the Moto G 6 play right because of the aspect ratio. The screen is pretty good.

I have a trick for you guys. If you want to know exactly the screen size I mean you can check on the specs, but you can also print screen and then go to the info of that file, and it's going to tell you exactly the screen size. So now, let's try power button down right there. So, in order to take a print screen, you need to push the power button and the volume down button at the same time. Okay, so we have a spring screen right here.

We're going to see where it is. This is usually on Google photos. So, let's go there go, go, go, go Forks all right, screenshots right there, so I'm just going to turn off the backup for now pick off and let's check these guys. So actually, if, if you press this button, this is the information button press on it, and you're going to see info about the picture and in this case is gonna, be 480 by 960 I know you want to know if you can unlock this phone to be honest, I don't know, but I'm just going to do a quick test. What I'm going to do is I'm going to put a SIM card from another carrier and if we get the unlock code menu, that means that there's a chance that we can unlock it.

Metro SIM card, and I'm going to put it here, and now we're going to see if we can have that a lot of code. Mint! Oh, look at that guys, so you can see that network lock. This device is never lock contact your service provider network lock, pin to unlock all right. It doesn't show me how many tries I have, but the reason that is showing this screen. That means that this phone can be unlocked, so I'm going to find out how to unlock you guys, and I'll get back to you on that.

Alright. So what happened? You do dismiss that we're lock continue, and you can continue using the phone. Another thing I want to see is I want to see what kind of Android it has, so we're going to go to settings alright, and we're going to go to system and from system we're going to go to about the phone, alright guys. So if you want to know the exact model of this phone, this is the Alcatel 50.59 are all right. That's how you can identify this device, what else Android 8.1! So that's good, guys, April 1 security, patch July, 5th 2018. So what I'm going to do guys is I'm gonna, connect to the Wi-Fi and see if there are any updates, AT&T software update click on it, and then I see check for updates software update processing.

Current solver is up today. So what do you want to see all right? Let's see the storage, so you can see guys that we already used in 40% of the total 16 gigabytes available on the phone. So we only have six point: 36 gigabytes to download music put apps and everything, so I, don't like AT&T taking 40% of a phone even without using it. So this is not acceptable. I would say: 20 maximum 30% of the space, but 40% it's like half almost half right, okay.

So what else got stored manager for some video? So now we know that now, let's check the see, we can see the run, how much room do we have guys? Let's do a quick test about the camera. You click here a lock camera to access this device location allowed, and you can see the camera right here right now. It's kind of choppy when you do the zoom, it's kind of not responsive, immediately, there's a little delayed on that. That's zoom. Okay, so let's say that's my shot, and I'm going to click on it.

Okay, so it's pretty fast à la Galleria loud- and this is the picture that I took because it's a screen. You're going to see these lines. It's flickering whatever, but what I can tell about the picture? It's fine! Furthermore, it's! Okay! Nothing is special. It's always it's! That's! Okay! I mean again guys. What do you spec for a $49 camera I mean what do you spec for a $49 phone? What kind of camera do you expect? You can expect iPhone quality camera.

You know, and we're going to clip type deer AT&T here, AT&T hollow beside the corrections which I hate it. Sometimes your AT&T here AT&T tell me how much RAM, oh okay, how much ROM these four! Ah, you have your little emojis. If you want what else? What is this? What is this have stickers? You can see all of them here. Alright guys he's getting too long. Thank you.
