Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9-inch Tablet Unboxing and Hands-on Overview

Hi everyone: this is a burner from phone brunch, and today we are unboxing the Xiaomi Me band. Now this is the retail variant which is available from Flipkart for rupees, twelve $9.99. You can use the link in the description to buy this from Flipkart. Now the pad comes with excellent specifications, rivaling even the HTC Nexus 9. It comes with a 7.9 inch 2:04 it into one five. Three six pixels display that's for is to three aspects: ratio.

You have the quad-core, NVIDIA Terra cave and running here same as the HTC nexus 9, with 2 gigs of ram and 16 gigs of internal storage, which is expandable. So, let's open up the box. Alright at the top, you can see. That's a pad I can only get it in white color in India and that's the one we have got. Let me keep that aside for the time being, let's see what else we have.

So that's your USB wall charger, which is rated at 2 amperes. Now you have a 6700 William per battery on the pad, which is supposed to give excellent battery life, and here you have the tray, eject her tool to open up the micro SD card slot, which can expand storage up to 128 gigs and your usual documentation. And finally, you have your micro, USB data, syncing and charging cable. So that's everything that you get inside the box very standard. Looking cable here from Xiaomi the ports do look nice here so folks.

This is the brand-new Xiaomi me pad at least new for India that comes with 16 gigs of storage, which is expandable. Now on the left. You have your micro SD card slot. You can use the included trajectory tool to take the tray out now. Overall.

I do feel that the construction of this tablet is pretty solid. I had a chance to play with it at Tommy's launch event as well. You can watch that video from right up top now, at the top, you have the 3.5 mm audio jack. Moving to the right, you have the power lock and unlock button, and your volume rocker, both sturdy I can see the 2 speakers at the bottom. They are fairly loud now, at the top.

You have your 8 megapixel camera. You have 2 noise cancellation, microphones right there as well. Other definitely has a glossy finish, and it attracts fingerprints, but there at least not visible that much at the bottom. You have your micro, USB data, syncing and charging port, but to some people's dismay, Wei's calling is not supported on this tablet and I actually don't get calling on it such a large device anyways. So now we had started booting it up.

You have a 5 megapixel camera in the front as well with BSI sensor, a 7.9 inch display and capacitive buttons just below it, which actually do light up as well. Now the Xiaomi me pad is running on Android 4.4 KitKat still, but it's at least on me UI 6. So now, let's get into that, we are now at the home screen. You don't have any app drawer, so you have already familiar with me UI if you have watched our previous videos on Redmi devices, so you can see right here. Android, 4.4.4 Kitkat, but Xiaomi has said that they will be updating this device in the future. Now out of the 16 K Chrome, you are about twelve point.

Eight nine gigs available apps are not movable, but USB OTG is supported. Now coming to the front, you can see the capacitive buttons they do light up, and you have about 790 MB free RAM after the first boot. So there is plenty of RAM available for your multitasking, and you can see that the display switches very quickly between portrait and landscape, so animations are also slick here. MIA has been customized to run on tablets, so the icons are definitely bigger over here. You have this visit area now.

The display here is a pleasure to see colors look vibrant on it. It has wide viewing angles: Corning Gorilla Glass protection for that added peace of mind. Moreover, it's one of the sharpest displays that you can get on a tablet. Add 324 pixels per inch. Now the Xiaomi knee pad is running on the NVIDIA Terra k1 quad-core processor, with 192 core capillarity view.

So it's no slouch when it comes to performance but feels great to hold as well. It's just about 8.5 mm thick and weighs in at about 360 grams and even with the 6700 William power battery. It doesn't seem that bulky now the camera up here is very bare-bones, unlike what you see on the Redmi 2 runs on me, UI 6, or even the Redmi Note 4g. But yes, you do have some filters of image that I took. Did there not a little blurry, but we'll test the camera? Out later on now coming to the launcher, pinch zoom on any home screen, you can go ahead and add your widgets.

You can change wallpapers. Overall, it's a very smooth experience. I haven't noticed any lag, you have your notification toggles up top, and you can go ahead and access all your recent tasks with just a single tab. Overall performance is actually quite good on this tablet. Now, let's open up for lunch calm, and you can see that I can reach all the keys on a keyboard very easily.

So this form factor definitely helps in that aspect. Now, there's a bit of backlight bleed at the bottom of the display. You can see that there, but it's only noticeable when you have either very bright or very dark content. Now scrolling is very smooth here as a pinch to zoom no issues with web browsing of performance till now. Now let me just show you that USB OTG does work as well I plugged that in it should be detected and has so right here, let's just jump into the USB storage, and I'll just play a 1080p video for you, and even here, video playback is flawless well folks.

That was an unboxing enhance for an overview of the new Xiaomi me pad now for about rupees 13,000. You really can't get a better tablet. It's not just about the specifications it performs very well. It has a brilliant display in the front battery life should also be great, but we will reserve judgment till our full review. Furthermore, it offers great competition to the iPad Mini and, to an extent the HTC Nexus 9 as well.

Build quality also seems good over here, but we do need an in-depth look at the device, so we will be bringing you its gaming review and benchmark soon. Stay tuned to phone based comm for the latest in mobile technology do hit that subscribe and like button below thanks for watching any questions.
