Why I Returned The Tab S6 Lite For The Tab S5e | Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e Unboxing and Camera Test

Hey everyone- this is Larry. Welcome back to todayifeelike. com, I returned my Samsung tab, s6 lite and I took it back because it doesn't have decks and that's something that I really want on my tablet now. I did pick up the Samsung tab.5E, I'm not sure if I'm going to miss the s pen, but this does have a better screen, and it does have decks. So let's go ahead. Unbox it check it out, and here we go all right.

So here we have it. This is the Galaxy Tab, s5e and let's just take a quick look around the box. Here we can see on the side here. This is uh what it's going to look like, and it's very, very thin. As you can see on the back here, we can see what the package contents are.

So it says packaging contains the Galaxy Tab. Sc s5e is a 10.5-inch screen has 64 gigs comes with a wall charger USB charger uh. It comes with a type c, earphone connector, that's kind of cool, so we could use that. I guess it's maybe not going to have a headphone jack, a quick start guide and a Samsung terms and conditions thing there. So yeah on this side.

It says Samsung, galaxy, tab, s5e and uh yeah, that's pretty much it all right. Let's go ahead and open this up here. So I have my handy dandy, uh box opener. Here, let's go ahead and uh pop this open so that we can uh get through the tape there so that we can uh. We can go ahead and get this thing open here.

So, lets uh, let's see what this looks like now, you may notice from the box here this is going to be the rose gold version of it, and that is because well normally I get black or white or silver or something I usually don't get the rose gold. So I thought why not try something different this time. So there's also another very good reason for that, and that is when I actually was looking for this. Normally, this tablet comes in at whereas the tab six light is 349. However, I found a rose gold uh version of it on Amazon for 299.

So not only did I get a more expensive tablet. Uh, you know for less money, but like a hundred dollars less than it should have been and fifty dollars less than the tab. Uh you know than the uh, then the tab, six s light, which is normally uh. Normally this one is fifty dollars more, and I actually got it for fifty dollars. Uh less excuse me.

Yes, this was normally fifty dollars more than the tax s6 light, and I got this one for 50 50 less than the tab access light, so anyways yeah, but this is it. This is the rose gold thought I would try something different and uh yeah. It looks pretty good. It is super, super thin. Furthermore, it that's just crazy, thin um yeah, that is nuts uh.

We can see it has an USB connector on uh on the bottom there, so we can use that it has. It looks like it has dual firing. Speakers on the bottom, um there's also dual firing speakers on the top, so we have quad speakers that is very cool. We have connectors on the side here, so we can use a keyboard if we want to, so that's uh, that's a nice thing to have there. So if you want to use a keyboard, it'll snap right in there um we have on the side.

Here we have our power button, which I believe is also a fingerprint reader. We also have a volume rocker, and then we have a microphone right there and our sim card, or it's not sim card, but a memory card, so we can actually put in uh expanded memory there. So yeah, that's it that looks. This is a really nice looking tablet, I'm not sure if there's any juice inside, but let's go ahead. Let's just turn it on see.

If actually, if it lights up and if we're getting any, if there's any power in it, yeah look at that there we go Samsung Galaxy tab, s5e, so there we go it's secured by NOX and powered by android, so uh yeah, all right! We're going to have to get this thing all set up soon and soon and uh try it out, but before we do, let's go ahead and see what else comes in the box here. So it looks like we're going to get an uh a power brick here that we can use. This looks like it's going to be a USB a to USB. So that's, okay, it's not bad. I wish it was USB the USB, but you know it is what it is.

So there we go. Oh yeah, there we go, so it looks like the Bixby lady or whoever is asking me to start setting stuff up so yeah. If you want to help start getting your stuff set up, you can do that. I'm going to do that in a few, probably off camera. I'm just going to show you what else we have in the box here.

So we have an USB cable here. So that's nice to see if you need another one, I have plenty of USB cables at this point, so I think I'm going to probably just go ahead and put this back over here. I'll set I'll get that put back later um inside here we have, let's see what is in the box here. Oh, we have on this side a semi-ejector tool right here. This is going to be nice so that you can, you can put your memory card in there if you want to expand your memory out.

So that's right, that's nice, to have that so inside. Here we have our. We have our documentation all this stuff, like the quick reference guide and all that other stuff, so yeah we'll set that off to the side. Don't really need that right now and uh yeah. So that's everything that is everything that comes with it so uh.

We are good to go all right. I think I'm going to go ahead and set the tablet up and uh and try this out and see what I think about it, because it's right now, I'm digging it super light thin. I mean, as far as form factor goes, this might be my favorite form factor and uh. You know moving forward. I don't know what the new uh the new Samsung tab 7 is going to be.

Like when that comes out, but if it's this thin my gosh, I might have to pick it up, because this is pretty incredible man. This is yeah anyways. Let me get this thing set up. I just want to show you all what it looks like and uh yeah, that's that. So this is the tab uh.

This is the tab. Uh s5e and uh in rose gold and so far so good all right. So I have the tablet all synced up. It's ready to go, there's some there's a few apps that are still installing, but for the most part it is all set up. But I figured hey: why not do a little of a camera test? I'm not one of those people that likes to really go out and shoot photos and videos with my tablet.

But to be perfectly honest with you, this thing is so light and so easy to handle. I could see being out and actually photographing something or videotaping something with this tablet. So let's actually go test it a little. I'm going to shoot a little indoors here with the front and rear camera, and then I'll take it outside and test a little there, I'm recording now with the rear-facing camera of the tab. S5E with the rear-facing camera you can shoot in either full HD or 4k, and right now, I'm recording in 4k.

So this is what you can expect from the uh from the rear facing camera shooting in 4k. I'm also recording using the internal microphones of the tablet. So this is the built-in camera and the built-in microphone. This is what you can expect this again. This is 4k footage from the tab, s5e rear facing camera.

Let's go ahead now and switch to the front facing camera and see what that looks like this is now the front-facing camera, and I'm using the full resolution which is 1080p. So if you're recording with the front-facing camera, you can shoot in full HD or 720, I'm recording in a full HD right now in the full 1920 1920 by 1080, and so I'm also using the built-in microphones of the tablet. So this is what you can expect, what you can expect as far as the image quality and the sound quality with the microphone so yeah so anyways. What do you think about this uh front-facing camera compared to the rear-facing camera again, I have pretty good lighting here? So, if you're doing a Zoom call or a Microsoft, hangout Microsoft Teams or Google Hangouts or dual or skype whatever it is that you're doing or just recording a video if you have decent light. This is what you can expect as far as the actual image quality.

So now I do want to take this outside and see what it looks like outside. So uh, let's hop on out there and try these uh try both the front and the rear facing camera outdoors all right. So I'm uh, I'm now shooting with the rear-facing camera outdoors here, there's plenty of light so uh. Hopefully that helps and uh yeah, I'm still using the uh the built-in microphone. So this is what you can expect if you're outdoors shooting with this tablet and nice light with the built-in microphones, and I'll say this tablet is actually light enough and small enough that I can feel pretty comfortable shooting outdoors with it without looking like a complete goofball, but it does uh, it does have pretty good image quality uh from what I've seen indoors already.

So I'm expecting outdoors is gonna, be even a little better, but let's go ahead and turn around and take a look at the front facing camera and see how that looks outdoors. I am now recording with the uh with the front-facing camera, and again I have it on a full HD here so um it does. It looks pretty good. I have to say that the rear-facing camera definitely looks better from what I can see. Already the colors look more vibrant on the screen.

The color is a little more saturated um. The overall exposure, I think, is probably a little better on the rear-facing camera. I don't think that's just the 4k. I think that's also because it's just maybe a better sensor on the rear-facing camera. Also, one thing I noticed is that there's I don't think, there's any stabilization on this tablet with this at all so um.

If you notice the footage seems to be a bit shaky uh. That's because I just don't think there's any stabilization, so yeah anyways. This is the uh, the front-facing camera on the Galaxy Tab, s5e, okay, everyone there! You have it! That is a look at the Samsung Galaxy tab, s5e. So far, I'm thinking this is really nice. I think I'm going to enjoy this more than I would the tab.

S6 lite, some of the features that I care about the most are on here, like it has a higher resolution screen with higher pixel density. We are going to have a 4k video which the tab s6 lite does not. I don't get the s pen, but that's okay. I have an iPad that has a pencil. So if I really need to do something like that, I can use my iPad.

So I think I'm really going to like this. It's thinner and lighter than the s-tab light. It is super, super thin. Absolutely incredible are the photos and videos every look. They look incredible on here I mean I'm really surprised how good it, especially the video.

There is no image stabilization, which could be a problem for some people, but if your hold handed it's, you know holding it steady with two hands that might work for you when I'm holding it out here like this with one hand trying to film myself, it's a little more challenging, I can't always hold it as still but yeah. So anyhow, I'm going to leave links to this product down below in the video description. You'll probably see some other stuff from uh from me about this tablet in the future, because I'm going to use it for various things, and I'll probably mention it. So if you see it, that's what it is and yeah so anyhow, I hope you enjoyed seeing this video. If you did, please give it a big thumbs up, and please subscribe to this channel and follow me on Facebook, and I am Larry with todayifeelike.
