The Sensible Galaxy - Samsung Galaxy S20 5G - Full Review

Hello everyone- this is Mike. Welcome to my channel, my tech savvy today I will be reviewing the most sensible member of the galaxy s: 20 family, the typical compact is, Samsung Galaxy s, 25 G I've already taken a look at the box content, and they give you your thoughts on this device. I will try to be as concise and as thorough as possible. I have the box right here. Furthermore, I won't say anything more about it. If you'd like to see the box contents and a few initial thoughts about the device, please check the video description.

You will have that video listed there. Let's start off with a good stuff. I will talk about the specs first, and then I will give you my thoughts on the device itself. The body of the device is more or less on par. With the last year's flagships.

The aspect ratio of the display has changed to 20 to 9 from 19 to 9. This means that the device is a little narrower a little longer, which is something I personally, don't like yeah I guess, each to his own. We have a pretty thin body. Overall, with a very nice finish, is probably one of the nicest finishes: I've seen a metal frame, ip68 rating, of course- and this is the cloud blue version on the left side- we don't have anything on the bottom. We have a button firing loudspeaker, USB type-c with USB 3.0 and a microphone on the top side. We have the SIM card tray and basically here you can have two SIM cards or one SIM card.

Then one micro SD card, another microphone and on the right side, very nicely, sculpted here, I really like this side, you have the volume keys and the power button on the back. Of course, we do have the three cameras flash and another microphone, it's a pretty nice device. Overall, you have really nice reflections. If you choose this color I like it quite a lot. To be honest, the screen is a six point: two inches AMOLED screen.

Let me just give you a quick look here. You, of course you can choose the theme you have for the first time in the galaxy lineup 120 Hertz displays. This is a major Pro compared to the previous iterations I. Really like how it looks on a standard refresh rate, it looks like normal what, when you go into high refresh rate, it's really, really smooth it's something else. What's important to note is that you can only have 120 Hertz with the full HD plus resolution.

If you want the highest resolution here, you have to stick with 60. Hertz I choose this smoothness over Christmas, it's more than enough. The full HD plus resolution I really like this display. It's probably one of the best in the industry right now, screen mode that you can choose from I, usually stick with natural, which is like more accurate. Of course, you have HDR 10, plus support that you can use in Netflix or any other apps that support HDR 10, plus you can film HDR, 10, plus video and basic this optimizes, the contrast and color, or we've seen as you can see right here.

Also, it seems that YouTube supports it, so you can find some videos there if you want to play back if you are 10 plus content on your Samsung Galaxy S, 20 chipsets in my case here, I have the Enos 990. Let's download CPU and take a look here we go. This is the Enos 9 9 0. You can see the specs here well display resolution. This device has 12 gigabytes of RAM because it's the 5g variant, if you had been the 4g model, you would have had only 8 gigabytes and, as you can see right here about 50% of it, it's free, which is not a lot given that I don't have that many apps installed, not any games and basically nothing is open.

This is the model number Android 10 with the March security patch level. Of course, if you buy this device in North America and on other markets, not in Europe, you will get it with a snapdragon 865. Both these CPUs are built on seven nanometers, plus architectures, 128 gigabytes of internal storage, which is UFS, 3.0 and, of course, expandable storage through the micros slots and now the cameras. So we do have the typical wide. Let's call it main camera 12 megapixels, quite a big sensor, F 1.8 aperture, so it doesn't have a dual aperture anymore: face: detection, autofocus and IS. We do have the telephoto lens, which is a 64 megapixel sensor.

It's not really a zoom sensor, but it does some cropping and, at the end of the day, you're left with normal-sized pictures like 8, megapixel, I, guess or 12 and, of course, the ultra wide-angle 12 megapixels fixed focus. Unfortunately, you also have 8k video and in order to fill in 8k, you have to use the telephoto lens, so you're, basically always zoomed in what's important. To mention the camera and about the 8k filming. Is that you're only gonna film, 8k 24 fps, so not at 30fps? Of course, you have 4k at 60fps, Full HD at 240, FPS or 720p at 960 fps. This is the super slo-mo.

You also have the super steady mode, which is very nice when you use it in conjunction with the wide-angle, it's very steady, and it's more or less a GoPro experience yeah. Let's call it that front camera 10 megapixels, it's basically the same one from the s10. You can also film 4k with the front camera battery life. Now, in the battery section, we do have a four thousand William hour battery, which seems quite okay. Well, you look at the number it's at least in reality: it's a bit of a mixed bag.

If you stay on the 120 Hertz display, it will eat up that battery very, very fast. It's kind of a mixed bag. Here, probably will the bigger siblings test 20+4 D s2000, which have even bigger batteries. You would get some improvement, not a lot, but fortunately in the Box you have the PPS charger, which is rated as 25 watts, PPS, meaning programmable power supply, and it works really. Well, it charges the device really fast, also by heating it up quite a lot during this process.

Unfortunately, of course you do have the usual wireless charging, 15 watts. You have the reverse wireless charging here wireless power share. We have the amazing ultrasonic under display fingerprint reader, which I don't like that. Much I prefer the previous one that my est any had. It was a real capacity, fingerprint scanner.

Unfortunately, Samsung still uses the ultrasonic technology for this in screen, fingerprint reader, it's quite a bit slower than the optical. One you have NFC the Samsung Galaxy S twenty series doesn't feature and vacation led. This was somehow substituted by the always-on display and the edge lighting. Whenever we have an incoming vacation, the European variant does not feature FM radio. You have a loudspeaker here, it's basically the earpiece, which also works as a loudspeaker and from a software perspective you have the usual typical Samsung run with one UI 2.1. The speakers are pretty good.

They have a very good volume, but unfortunately they don't have that much bass I feel that the previous system had a lot more bass than this one. It has a lot of trouble, though. In day-to-day usage, it's really, really fast, as you would expect from a device of this well with this kind of specs. It's really fast, quite impressing. Everything opens up instantly, and you can switch really fast between them.

Yeah, everything is instant, but it can get a little toasty once you use it a lot. This is important to note. Whenever you charge it, it can get a bit toasty as well be used to a pretty warm device. If you are going to buy the series of Galaxy fabric ships, but you have perfect performance and in my experience it will take you through the day, no problem with this four thousand William hour battery this implementation of these three cameras. It's its quite nice.

It's probably one of the best and much better than what s10 had I know that they offer here a 30x zoom, but in reality probably usable zoom. You have 10 X. If you have a very, very bright day and well, let's say in daylight conditions if there are basically any other conditions, probably around 3, to 4 X maximum. That would be more than enough. As a let's say conclusion: this device is probably one of the best on the market.

Right now you have a top-of-the-line user experience with the latest gadgets with the latest innovations, starting from the display cameras. Basically, well everywhere, you look, it's not cheap. This 5g version is about 1,000 euros, which is well quite a lot of money for the baby flagship. Let's say there are some pitfalls as well, which for me well, they are kind of deal-breakers. You do have the fingerprint sensor under the screen, which isn't up to par with what I want from one device.

It can get pretty warm which I don't like either another thing that I don't like it's the fact that something is missing from here: yeah: it's missing a headphone jack. Of course, you can use a dongle, but some other problems come into this scenario. You cannot charge it at the same time, the audio quality. Then it's really dependent on the quality of the deck inside the adapter. So it's not the best solution, I would say.

I would have rather preferred that Samsung kept the headphone jack, but overall this is a pretty good device as alternatives. I, don't see that many, if you're in the world apple camp, of course the iPhone 11 Pro is definitely a contender, but from the Android realm, a package like this, a very nice device, slim and still compact by today's standards. Well, compact has definitely increased in size from year to year. Yeah, it's really difficult to find something, probably ds-10 it's cheaper and if you don't require the extra horsepower or these very, very beautiful display you might get along with it, but I don't see that many alternatives. The price will probably go down soon, not by much, but still it will make it a bit more affordable overall, I think this is the most sensible choice out of the three for sure the other ones.

Well, they are way too big. Let me just say straight: there is no way of hiding this. Even this one, it's a bit of a stretch, but it's bigger, siblings, yeah, it's a definite! No. This was my review of the Samsung Galaxy S, 25, G I hope you've enjoyed it.
