Alright guys Jimmy here, so I did a video not too long ago about this TCL TV that I had bought from Costco. The model number is either 55, see 803 or the 55 see 807 I believe the only difference in the two is the remote that comes with them. This one is the 803. It comes with a standard, remote I think the 807 comes with the remote that has a headphone out jack, which is pretty cool, although I can do the same thing with the Roku app on my phone and listen to the TV from my phone, but I'm getting ahead of myself. That's not what this video is about. I just wanted to show you guys will kind of give you like an update on the TV so already just in a few short weeks or months.
Maybe that I've owned this TV there's been a lot of updates with this TV they've pushed a lot of different updates for the Roku system and even like something cool like these backgrounds, you can see they have like a live animated snow, falling background for this TV, which is pretty cool, so I do have to say the more I owned this TV, the more I, absolutely loved it, and I'm, not just saying that this TV rocks for the price I think on sale at Costco, I got it for 450 bucks. It is unbelievable for that deal. One of the things I really wanted to point out, because I don't think that a lot of people know about this. With this TV you can actually do what's called live, TV pause. If I go ahead and select my antenna here, you can see right here on the bottom.
There's this scroll here this bar- and this basically represents 90 minutes of TV, so I just went ahead and paused this TV. This is live TV and I paused it, and you can see on the bottom the time, and you can see the pause bar. Let me try to do that again here it's playing now and let me go ahead and pause. It pauses now the way to be able to do that. Pausing, the live, pausing of TV like say, you're, watching a football game, and you want to go grab some food.
You hit pause it'll, just keep recording it for up to 90 minutes while you're gone, and then you come back and hit play, and it's like you can fast-forward through the commercials and all that the way you do that is, you need to buy a 16 gigabyte USB like memory. Stick that plugs into the USB port in the back super simple, that's all I have is 16 gigabytes, I, believe it's 16, gigabytes or larger, but I just went for the 16, because it's like 5 bucks on Amazon I'll, put a link down in the description below for the exact one I bought, and you get live pause for up to 90 minutes on your TV. Now there is a caveat to that. If you change the channel, it's going to reset the whole thing and now start recording 90 minutes of whatever channel you. Just put it on, so you have to leave that channel on.
You can't, like you, know, leave your house and have it like you can't program it to record your shows basically, and you can't have it recording and then change a channel and come back to that. It has to be on the single channel that you've been on, but that is an amazing feature with this TV that I don't think they talked about enough. Other things, quick things with this TV a lot of people talked about ghosting in the corners and stuff, like that. I did see that when I first bought it I started it up and saw there was a little of ghosting in the corners on the black screens really only, but that seems to have subsided to somewhat I'm not sure how that would subside, but it has, unless I'm, just not noticing it as much. It's not that big of an issue for me, I only paid $450 for this TV, it's 4k, it's 120 Hertz, it does so much I.
Just do not complain about that. All in all guys. This is a fantastic TV. This is my update. You can see I've actually mounted this TV and I used the most sold mount on Amazon to mount this TV.
To my brick, fireplace there. You can see I'll put a link to that video down in the description below also but guys, I just wanted to do a quick update for this TV, the TCL 55, C, 803, and I just have to say: I am astounded by how awesome this TV is all right, guys, I'm Jimmy again, thanks for watching peace out hit the thumbs up subscribe, I'll see you in the next one later guys.
