TCL 10 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy A71 By Flossy Carter

Now you can pick this one up on Amazon I'll, throw the link-up in the description, the price on this one 450 bucks. Now it comes in two different colors. You got gray and green all right. So let's go through the specs real quick. Now this is a GSM, only phone.

So if you got ATT T-Mobile and Verizon you're good to go, if you got sprint, you asked out for the display got a 6.47 inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 by 2340 and that's 398 for the PPI patrol for the processor. You got the Qualcomm snapdragon 675 with the arena 612 GPU. What does that mean in English, mid-range specs, bro, mid-range specs? Now you got six gigs of ram 128, gigs of storage and a micro SD card slot for expandable memory up to 256 gigs. Now it's running android 10, with TCL UI skin on top you've got a 4 500 William battery that features 18 watt fast charging. Now TCL claims you can charge your phone from 0 to 50 in 35 minutes for the cameras on the rear.

You got a quad setup, so you got a 64 megapixel wide angle, a 16 megapixel ultra-wide, a 5 megapixel macro and a 5 megapixel depth sensor on the front. You got a 24, megapixel wide angle lens. Now you also got Bluetooth, 5.0, NFC and FM radio. An on-screen fingerprint sensor, always on display, face unlock a headphone jack and wait for it and IR blaster. I shout out to TCL for keeping the IR blasters alive.

Now on a side note, I've been using the Oppo find x2 pro as my main phone for the last week and this IR blaster is god mode. Alright, so shout out to TCL all right. So, let's get into this now at the end of this video I'll answer, the most important question that you all want to know which one should you buy the TCL pro all right for 450 bucks or the galaxy a71 for 350 bucks. Now the side note, the galaxy a71 is one of the most underrated phones that I reviewed in a long time. Let's get into this first things.

Let's see anything on this display greatness. We already did the specs. Here we go all right. Let's do this slowly, no anger today, all right, so this is your device flick of the wrist inside now. This is your sim ejection tool.

Let's see, let's see, okay, all right, I know you got your usual books and plug them in follow them. You got a case. Okay, let's see this skate says display greatness and I like that. Okay, so we got a decent presentation alert inside this is going to be your USB, a to micro, USB type-c charging cable, and you got your 18 watt fast charging, brick now for the device itself. This is the gray color.

Okay check this out. This one does look nice. I like that matte feel, and I wasn't expecting that quad camera setup and wait for it. Okay, I thought I heard it false alarm anyway, all right, so we got the matte finish on the back. Quad cameras got a dedicated smart key on the side.

You're going to assign different functions. Let's hit that power button, okay volume up and down headphone jack Samsung Apple Pay attention IR, blaster, lg Samsung. You see what that is IR blaster, let's keep it moving on the bottom, USB type-c speaker, grille on the front, got a little notch. All right. Little I've only recorded a notch, that's more like a teardrop, a little teardrop on the front and that's pretty much it matters of fact.

Why not? Let's do the smell test on this? One smells like savings. All right, 450 bucks savings pause, the video. I just put my information in the phone got everything all set up and I have to be honest with you all on a scale of one to ten. The tcl10 pro is a major go now. Let me say this TCL did send me this phone to review, but you all know I don't give an about that. If something is whacked, I'm going to say the is whacked. If something is hot, I'm going to say it's hot and for 450 bucks.

This is hot check this out before I started the video in my mind, I thought the a71 would be a better, buy. No-brainer save 100 bucks. You got quad camera setup, always on display orange screen. Fingerprint sensor you got face, unlock it's running, Samsung one UI, so you got all the one UI features. You got a better processor, the Qualcomm snapdragon 730 versus the 675.

You got 25 watt fast charging versus 18 watt fast charging. It seems, like it's gonna, be a better deal, 32 megapixel camera in the front, it's a little better, but now after using this phone spend that extra 100 bucks and go with the TCL 10 pro trust me you're, going to be more happy. First up build quality now you all know I got to say it feels so good in the hands. Ladies, you know the procedures with the galaxy a71. You got this, what they call a glass stick, but it's basically plastic build.

So when you put the galaxy a71 in your hand, you immediately, I mean immediately know that this is not a premium flagship phone. If you ever held any real galaxy phone, s9 s10 s20 with the glass build, you know this one has that plastic budget foam feel to it. Even though I like the prism colors on it, some of you all might like the plastic build because if you drop it less chance to break cool, I could dig that, but with the TCL, when you put this in your hand, if I have my eyes closed right now, it would feel like holding an OnePlus 8 pro faxes, no funny. I shout out to everybody from New York yeah. I get that why everybody say that now, no funny after every sentence, no funny, my nephew's got me saying that now Matt feel on the back of this has a heavyweight feel to it, but it definitely feels premium.

You got the curve display all right, so that's definitely a premium feature always on display on screen fingerprint sensor and face unlock. So let's try that out. Look at that face unlock and another thing. I want to mention real, quick after using both of these phones. The TCL just feels faster.

Now I know what you're saying better processor on paper doesn't really uh make it in the real world and that's true, better processes on paper. Don't really matter in the real world, because one UI with a faster processor might not be as good as TCL. You are with a slower processor, if that makes sense to you all orange screen, fingerprint sensor, honestly, not the best in the world, not the best in the world. It's not one of those bang, and it's open. You're going to have to actually press it and hold it, but it does work, I would say 95 percent of the time.

I have one hiccup here and there, but it generally opens fast, but you're not going to need that, because you got that face, unlocked check out this display. Now with that curve panel, like I said it just feels premium. Basically, the same 1080p display no big deal on that, but this one looks beautiful, and it is a little brighter when it comes to the knits uh you all know about the knits. When it comes to the knits, it's a little brighter. Now you do have your edge panel right, very Samsung, is contacts, you can add.

If you want, you got a ruler right, you know, what's that not bad, not bad! At all, let's swipe down now you got all your basic toggles, I'm not going to go through everything. I want this video to be uh two hours long, but you got the stuff that you need. You got screenshot you got screencast and, of course, dark mode. You got the dark mode. Furthermore, you need that.

Now, let's go to settings real, quick! Let's go to our networks. You got VPNs, probably DNS, all right for your scumbag activities. You got screen and printing Bluetooth. NFC! Do your thing! You got your not vision, alright, so HDR screen color. If you want you could change from vivid gentle or standard, let's see uh did I skip anything blah blah blah, always on display and ambient.

Oh, check this out notification light. Oh, I have to show you guys something too. I have just seen there was advanced features. Let's see, okay! Well, let's go through this anyway. Uh screen recorder gestures all right, so you got your three finger.

Screenshot! You got your three finger. Uh multitasking tap the weight all the usual smart key. Oh, that's! What I wanted to show you hold up: where was he smart? Key advance features smart kit. Now the smart key on the side is pretty sick because you could uh customize it to whatever you want. So the way I got it right now is one single press will be a screenshot double press turn on my flashlight, oh dual flashlights.

I didn't even notice that dual flash- oh that's, kind of sick. Okay, let me calm down because I'm starting to sound like a hype beast, but I like that flashlight mad bright catch, all your paraphernalia in the car and if you long press activate your Google Assistant now, like I said you could customize that to whatever you want, but that's a nice feature. That's a nice feature right there. Let's keep it moving. I wanted to show you all something else.

Let me see if I run through this real quick. I know privacy was that it nope security. Oh, here it is there. It is check this out check this out, hold up private space all right, so let's activate private space. Now this is not your full thought protection, but it's private space.

You got to put in your pattern your fingerprint sensor or whatever, and now you got your scumbag activity, so you got your images, your videos, your audio archives, installers and documents all right, private space, that's pretty sick, not to mention IR blaster yo. Let me show you why the IR blaster is dope. All right check this out. Now I'm going to open up the remote app point it toward the TV. How sick is that now, if I want to turn the TV off right from the phone all right so now, let's check the web.

Browsing speeds, go to apple. com, opening webpage, opening webpage, snapdragon 730 versus snapdragon 675. You see what I'm saying the processors on paper. It might seem like the a71 is better, but in the real world they basically work the same and as you've seen for yourself, the snapdragon 675 actually opened it up faster. Look at this.

This is the full website. Let's go back, I think I've touched the screen by accident full website now I know 120 to refresh rate, but it's nice and fast. You see that for yourself. Look at that! This is a 450 dollar phone. Bro can't really complain with that.

Do the screen three fingers screenshot see it for yourself. Three fingers swipe up split screen: multitasking, take it over to YouTube apple on the top YouTube on the bottom matter of fact, let me uh open this up fully. Let's check the speakers. Beautiful display one bottom firing speaker not the loudest in the world, but it sounds pretty much exactly the same as the 871, but it's going to get the job done, but I love that curved display looks beautiful all right. So now, let's take a look at the camera.

Now say you got your phone on the table, and you're having lunch and somebody's about to get choked out, grab your phone press, the power button twice: yell out world star and start recording all right. That's pretty sick! Okay! So let's go through the basic camera functions. You got slow motion, stop motion, light trace, panoramic super macro and high pixel, that's 64 megapixels! Now you got auto mode which will give you wide angle, all the way up to 10 times, Zoom go to video. Take it over to settings! Okay, so the maximum video quality is 4k 30 frames per second, but you do get uh electronic image. Stabilization, oh matter of fact, hold up.

I have just seen one thing: shutter sound turn that off for your scumbag photos, you got portrait mode. You got super night, all right, not night. Super night for your cats, that'd be hanging out in the super evenings, and you got pro mode manually change over the settings all right. So now, let's take a look at some test, pictures and videos. So this all right so overall on a scale of 1 to 10 the TCL 10 pro is a major go and at 450 bucks, as bob barker would say, the price is right.

The easiest way for me to describe this phone is a watered down. OnePlus 8 pro and when I say watered down I mean no quad HD display no 120hz refresh rate, no wireless charging, no IP rating, no 40 50 60 watt fast battery charging. Basically none of the bells and whistles that you're going to find in your 1 000 flagship phones. But what you do got is an excellent build quality, big, beautiful AMOLED display IR blaster headphone jack long, lasting battery clean, smooth OS. You got a decent camera, but, most importantly, if you buy this instead of an OnePlus 8 pro, you got an extra 500 bucks in your pocket anyway.
