TCL 10 Pro Unboxing - Affordable Flagship Specs By ShoAndTech

What's, going on YouTube welcome back to short tech, so today we're taking a look at two new phones that just came out in Canada. These actually came out two months ago in the US by a company that is new to the smartphone manufacturing industries. So we've got two phones that came up from TCL. Now you might have heard of TCL before due to the fact that they make some pretty great TVs with some pretty awesome displays and, as we said, they've now jumped into that cell phone market. They first teased. These phones at CES generated a lot of hype, got people excited because of the price of them and the fact that, even though the price is very low, they come in with some pretty premium specs.

So we're taking a look at these two guys here, which is the TCL 10 Pro and the TCL l know, for our intents and purposes, in this video we're just looking at the TCL 10 Pro for now to kind of keep the duration of this video down. But as we said, this comes in at a pretty low price point for 50 in the States and $700 in Canada. But if you compare that to other phones that are out in the market right now, then even at $700, with the specs that you get on this guy. That is a pretty awesome deal. So this came out just yesterday.

So today is the 12th of July. It just came out in on July the 11th in Canada. So for those of you who are American watching this I know this is a new content for you guys, but for those of you who are Canadian or in other markets, then this is a brand-new phone for you. So without ways any more time we're going to break this down, unbox it and see what comes inside the package. Ok, so we've got the TCL 10 Pro here and just a quick look at what comes in the box.

We've got the phone travel charger, USB, type-c data, cable, the sim ejection tool, Quick Start, Guide and safety precautions guide and looking at the specs on this guy, you've got a six point. Four seven-inch full HD screen it's an AMOLED screen with curved edges as well. So that's some that you generally see on flagship phones, there's a couple: people that hate that curved edge, but we'll see how that looks. It's got: HDR 1064, megapixel, camera, 128, gigs of storage and 6 gigs of RAM, and then a 4,500 William hour battery. So a pretty substantial battery there, all right so right off the bat.

The phone is on the top TCL 10 Pro, not a bad size to it. I was expecting to be a little larger, but it is at this point pretty comfortable to hold, and we'll put it up alongside the note n+, so you can get an idea of it. So the note m+ is a lot wider. The TCL, 10 Pro, pretty narrow, but still pretty comfortable to hold, and I would say, they're almost roughly the same weight, so we can set that down, though your sim ejection tool is right here and have a bunch of those. So don't really need to take that out in terms of the charging cable.

So this is a USB type. A two USB type-c cable and a TCL charging brick right there, so I think if I'm not mistaken, the phones that were released earlier, so two months ago actually came with a TCL branded soft case. So it doesn't look like unless I'm missing it. It doesn't look like this one, or maybe it's in the box. No, so we just got the books in here, so your Quick Start Guide safety precautions and no case.

So if you are expecting a case to come with your TCL 10 Pro, because you saw that they did in the States either those were review copies or that's just an American. Only thing I'm, not really sure. So, let's take this off and again very light phone kind of reminds me of the Galaxy S 10 series light to hold the back looks pretty nice. It has a cool gradient on the back and then one thing that I was expecting was that the camera bump would actually be protruding a little. So if you look at it, it's its flush.

It's kind of hard to see on the camera, but it's its flush and the only thing that's kind of protruding are these two LEDs on either side. So those are your flash slash flashlights. Those are the only things that are protruding. The camera bump is actually completely flat and again, if we compare that to the note camera bump on it, that you can kind of see right there, whereas again when we look at the TCL 10 pro it's completely flat, so on the top, you've got a headphone jack, which is pretty nice to see you actually have an IR blaster as well, which it won't focus but just right there. So you can actually control your TV with this using your phone as a remote and then a microphone on the top on the bottom.

You've got your USB-C port speaker, another mic, and then that is where your sim would go hold on an angle, so you guys can see a little better. So it's part of this honestly if it came packaged with some juice. So this on the side is a multi-function button. You can set that up to do whatever you want it to do so, Siri or turn your flashlight on whatever it might be. That's not the power button.

The power button is actually on this side here. So you have your volume up volume down and the power button on this side. So if we power this up real quick TCL powered by Android, there, you have it there. It would be just your quick, typical Android setup, and then you're into the phone, so I'm going to be using this phone for probably the next week or so, instead of my Galaxy Note, just to see how it is taking pictures doing things like that using it for my YouTube videos that way when we review it, we can actually see how good it is as a budget, $700 or 450 u. s.

dollar phone I'll put the note beside it one more time for you guys to see the overall size difference. So the note is slightly bigger. The 10 L is actually much bigger than the 10 Pro is as well so keep that in mind and then, if we flip this over and look at the back of each as we said, the back actually does look pretty nice. Nice metallic finish on the rear and still looks very premium. So that's it for me.
