Sony Xperia 1 vs iPhone XS Max Camera | With a Difference 😡

Welcome to talkie reviews for another camera comparison and this one's going to be a bit different, because it's the Sony Xperia one versus the Sony Xperia one in manual mode with HDR settings versus the iPhone XS max, which has perfect HDR, so be good to see the difference between the three and especially what the Sony can do with data Mike you ready so straight out of the gate. It was a pretty challenging shot for both devices when it comes to HDR, and this is because it was incredibly sunny that day on the left-hand side on the exterior one with his superior auto mode. It detects that it's a landscape shot, and it's losing a little of detail there in the shadows, particularly in the foreground, on the crops, but it does a perfect job when it actually comes to delivering a natural picture. The iPhone also delivers a good picture here with his auto HDR, but maybe is overemphasizing the brightness just a bit now. Do you want to see what the Sony can do with HDR and manual settings? All right, let's go so. This was my first attempt at a manual shot with HDR on, and I adjusted the white balance, and that's why you've got these warmer tones throughout the picture, but notice how much more colors you're getting on the tree in the foreground on the bark- and here was my second attempt and I actually prefer this one to the first one, although it's a lot warmer I, just like the look of it, so I'm interested to know what you guys think, do you prefer the Sony Xperia 1 photo with the standard auto mode? Do you like my first attempt or my second attempt, or do you prefer the iPhone picture, there's a Poe up in the top right corner? Let me know what you think and let's move on to picture two: okay, a selfie picture with auto mode on both devices and I.

Think at this point, you've probably got to give this one to the iPhone but check this out. The Xperia one does have manual settings on the front shooter, although it's a bit more limited than the rear shooter settings, but it does offer HDR so immediately. You'll see a massive difference here: the parts of the image on the Xperia 1 photo that were completely blown out before with the auto mode and now clearly visible, and it's generally just a much better picture. Let me know in the comments below which one you think looks better here and let's move on to picture three, so the Sun was shining straight through these trees in the forest, and you can see on both devices how they are really losing teeth or at the top of the photograph in the brightest parts of the image. But now with HDR on in manual mode on the Sony Xperia one I managed to control the light, just a little more and bring back some of those details and, as a result, it's actually capturing more accurate colors at the bottom of the image too -.

Four okay, this one I'm going to do a bit different from the other ones. So on screen right now you see two photos taken on the exterior one on the Left you'll see the HDR image and on the right, you'll see the superior auto mode and I think you have to agree here. The Sony is so much better with the manual settings and if you're an experienced below- and let me know, are you using the manual mode that much well not at all, and if the answer is not at all, then you should really learn how to because look at the difference. So now do you want to see what the iPhone access max can do in this same scene? Okay, here it is, and whilst it's very detailed, I think you'll agree, the Sony Xperia one photo with HDR and manual settings is just so much better and if you disagree, let me know why, in the comments below and let's move on to pitch five colorful basketball again, the iPhone is really brightened the image up nicely, and it's got good color saturation, but you'll notice a bit of loss of detail towards the top of the image, and again I use manual mode with HDR on and of course, I could have made the image as bright as the iPhone photo, but I chose not to, and I opted for a faster shutter speed with a darker exposure, value level and I hope. You'll agree.

The picture just looks more natural, more true to life. Well, at least that's what I think anyway- and this is what I really like about the manual settings on the Sony Xperia 1. Are you just have full creative control and there's a pole up in the top right corner for you to vote on this one? Let me know what you think and let's move on to picture six. So this is the Charbroil all-star barbecue and I actually made a video about this one, and it's one of those videos that I made, which is quite off-topic from what I normally do. But hey it's awesome, and if you want to check that video out I'll leave a link in the comments below so once again.

I experimented with the manual settings and I opted for the darker image in order to bring out the deeper colors, and you can see it really worked there, especially on the Charbroil logo, on the barbecue, although I will admit my menu HDR shot on the exterior one looks way more stylized in the iPhone image, but I like it and the iPhone does a great job here of just delivering a perfect performance. A good all-rounder. You have to, give it to the iPhone. It's auto mode actually works very well. It's a 7.

Ok, an extreme night shot and I didn't have a tripod to hand. So you'll notice a bit of blur there on the left side of the Xperia image, but look at the difference in colors and details is picking up which the iPhone isn't. Especially when you look at the grass you'll notice on the iPhone image. The grass is not visible at all, whereas you can see it on the Xperia one I just wish Sony had some kind of stabilizing software, especially for taking night shots, because if it did, it would have really destroyed the iPhone in this one. Let me know what you guys think in the comments below, unless we want the picture 8, it's John wick and these photos were both taken on the Xperia 1, because I really want you guys to see how much more you can get from the Sony.

Xperia 1. If you learn how to use the manual mode with HDR on. Let me know what you think of this image and I just want to say a big. Thank you to you for watching this. What gear review you are breathtaking and if you guys enjoyed this one make sure you hit the thumbs up.

Smash that subscribe button. A check-out this other video I did to Sony Xperia one versus the one plus seven pro at the hyper Japan festival in London. It was pretty awesome thumbnails on screen right now, I'll see you guys in the next one, don't be late.
