Hey guys, it’s Eric here and this is my full comparison between the Infinix Hot 10T and the TECNO Spark 7p. These phones are from the same Chinese mother company known as Transsion holdings and they both priced within the same price bracket of 60-65 thousand Naira which converts to around 130 US dollars, For the 64gb variant. As usually we’d start of with the speed test followed by the camera comparison and then unto other features. Let’s begin with the boot up test. Spark 7p booted up in 39 seconds with the Hot 10T coming in a whopping 32 seconds later. That’s a quite a long time.
I tested the fingerprint sensors on both a couple of times and I got mixed results. think I call this one draw. We We get similar results for the Face unlock test. That makes sense. Same mother company remember.
I closed all the running apps before this test. Let’s begin with twitter. Instagram. Facebook. Snapchat.
Playstore. Youtube. Geekbench We get Slightly higher single and multi core scores on the Hot 10T. Antutu benchmarks. We get higher antutu scores on the Hot 10T.
Skipping the games row for now. Snapseed. Camera. Messages. Settings.
Lightroom. Speed test. Tested both on the same network a couple of times and every time. and We get higher download speeds on the Hot 10T and higher upload speeds on the Spark 7p And now let’s open up some games, let’s begin with… Smash hit. PUBG.
Subway surf. Temple Run 2. If you made it this far, a sub to the channel will be appreciated. Moving on to the camera. They both come packed with the exact same features but the Hot 10T packs a better primary camera.
Let’s see if it makes a difference. Using the selfie camera outdoors. They’re both giving me low end vibes. Hot 10T is warmer and better looking but isn’t true too life. It also captures slightly more details.
With portrait mode. The depth sensing is just piss poor. Same margin for error and I don’t like the results from both. Using the primary lens woooooooh whaaaat. Spark 7p left chat.
We get the usual low end quality from Spark 7p but Hot 10T is giving us actual midrange quality. Crispy, detailed, skin tone, texture. The whole 9 yards. Depth sensing isn’t that great in this shot on both but the Hot 10T portrait mode is still way better than the Spark 7P’s shot. There are scenarios where AI helps the Spark 7p come out looking better but it’s still not up to midrange quality anyway.
Dynamic range is better on the Infinix Hot 10T. You can see a lot more in the shadows and it also retains more details when you crop in. I mean 48 vs 16 megapixel. That’s to be expected. Taking indoor selfies, I think I will have give this on to Spark 7p just coz the over sharpening paid off here and from the white background actually looking white.
However skin tones look better on the Hot 10T It is the same story for Selfie portraits, they are on the same level with regards to depth sensing. Using the primary cameras indoors, once again, the Hot 10T makes the Spark 7P look like horse sheet. I am just so impressed by Infinix. If you saw my review you’d know how close it came to Samsung A52 and Redmi Note 10 Pro. AI tries to help the Spark 7p when the subject is food but this isn’t even how it looks in real life and when it comes down to quality, even AI has its limits as you can see here.
Both of these phones offer night mode mostly for fancy, not really as a usable feature but the Hot 10T does it best, if you really care to know. They both spot dual flash for the front camera and these shots was taken in a pitch dark room. They both record videos in 2k from their primary and secondary cameras Overall, the Camera of the Hot 10T really puts the Spark 7P to shame and in real life usage, these phones are 95% identical in the general performance and multitasking. Their displays are about the same size. We get slightly more saturated warmer tones on the Infinix.
Same crappy HD display as you guys love to call it but with 90hz refresh rate. Infinix is the only one with that additional swipe speed and motion speed feature. Gaming on these phones feel exactly the same. Battery life and charging speed, same same. The Spark 7p has a better design on the back, because the camera bump is more modern looking but that tiny problematic fingerprint sensor will probably make this a draw on design.
The one prominent pro that TECNO has is the dual speakers compared to the Hot 10T’s single speaker but this will only really apply to all of 30 people who play games without a headphone plugged in. Here’s how they compare side by side. I don’t think anyone asides those 30 gamers should buy the Spark 7p over the Hot 10T. If your budget is not too tight, the Hot 10T is simply the better buy and I think that is worth all of the difference in price. If you need to know more in-depth about these phones.
See my full review of both, links will be in the description box. Also, don’t exactly rush into upgrading to any of these phones until you’ve seen what Xiaomi has to offer with their redmi 10 series. I hope you enjoyed this video. If you did, do give me a thumbs up and share it. Also follow me on twitter and Instagram to see what i’m up to.
Please subscribe for more videos like this as it would mean a lot to me and I’d see you in the next one peace! .
