Huawei Mate 40 Pro Review, powerful in every detail! By Mister Gadget Tech

Hi, my name is Lucas, I'm from Italy, and this is my review for the Huawei Mate 40 pro from Italy, from ratchet. TV my review after two weeks, using the mate 40 pro, which is an astonishing product with incredible specs and very good performance. Of course, there is something missing. We all know what I'm talking about, of course, the Google services, but there are a few things that are really amazing. Let's try to see what is good and what is bad in this phone I'll start from the box inside the box, you have the phone earphones with the USB, plug a cover plastic, transparent cover and a 66 watts charger, because this phone has a charging time quite fast. It's not the best one on the market, but it's uh pretty, pretty good, and there is another.

Very interesting option is the wireless charge for 50 watts, and this is quite fast. The first detail coming to your eyes is the display. It's an AMOLED display with 90 hertz refresh rate. You can decide whether to use the 90hz 60hz on automatic setting, and this is the same thing for the definition of the display that you can change setting up one of the three available definitions or otherwise you can let the phone decide what the definition will be depending on how you use the phone. So this is a kind of auto definition, setting that, of course, help you to save the battery, but after all, the visibility or readability of this display is really, really gorgeous, even under the direct sunlight so thumbs up for the display.

The platform the processor used for this phone is really a strong choice from Huawei is the latest Karin 9000. It means that it's an outscore processor, very powerful, with 5g capability with 5 nanometers process. It means that it's very fast, it's not so energy hungry and with the eight gigabyte of ram it's very fast. Whatever you have to do. There is neural process inside the Karin 9000, and this is very important because you would see the effect of the neural process inside the phone.

When you take pictures- and this is the third part of the discussion- the one about the camera- but let me stay for a while uh on the hardware, because the processor, the Karin 9000- is not the only interesting thing. Uh there is stereo sound as well, and this time the stereo sound comes from two real speakers. So a speaker on the bottom and the speaker on the top. It means that the sound is very loud, and it's very strong with good loudness. The other thing is that, instead of what Huawei did in the past now, the earpiece is a real earpiece.

There's not the sound coming through the display, and this gives you a much better result when you're talking on the phone. Another important thing is that the volume rocker is back. This is very good because I hated the idea of changing the volume uh touching the display every time. So there still is an option to use the uh touch uh, so the fingers to change the volume, but otherwise you have the classic volume rocket, and then there is the uh infrared blaster. It's not maybe something you would buy a phone for, but it's nice to have it anyway.

It can be funny to trick her friends changing channels in the wrong moment in a football match. So after all, the hardware specs are quite good, 256 gigabytes of memory with the NATO memory expansion- it's not a micro SD, unfortunately, but there is an expansion anyway. So talking about the hardware path. This is a very interesting thing. It's much bigger than the mate 30.

This is something that it's quite weird because um the mate 30 from my point of view, was much nicer than this one, which is taller, uh, larger and even thicker, but even with those details that don't really appreciate the phone is pretty good and the matte finish on the back with this change in gradient. Colors is very, very nice. While we talk about a camera, we should talk about artificial intelligence first, because in this phone is used in a heavy way and the results on the picture. It's uh really outstanding. Um.

I tried to take pictures with very strong backlight and the in artificial intelligence was able to correct the exposure of the picture with final perfect results, with details of what was uh behind the backlight. That are really incredible. Of course, as usual, the colors from Huawei are a little saturated. Maybe too much. I really love the natural colors of the iPhone.

So this kind of colors for me, are a little too much, but the to mark gave 136 points to this camera, so it means that it's a very good solution, and it's a good solution, even if you use the wide angle or the zoom with the five pair optical zoom, which is perfect. Take a look at the pictures now, and you will see how good is the result with the telephoto lens. The main camera is a 50 megapixel camera quite powerful. I have to say that in this case as well, when you shoot videos, the result of the colors are incredible front. Camera has 13 megapixels.

There is a time-of-flight camera as well. So it means that when you have to recall the video or take a portrait shooting the result is pretty good. We have to say that there is an infrared camera as well, so it means that you have a 3d face scanning, so it's very secure when you have to unlock the phone with your face. If you want to unlock the phone with your fingers, there is a fingerprint scanner under the display, but we were on the camera even with the front camera. The results are very good, and you can take a look now at the pictures and the video that I've taken in these days really, really amazing battery life.

There is a 66 watts charger inside the box. It goes from zero to one hundred percent in 45 minutes. If you use a power delivery charger, it means that you go about 33 watts. It will take a little more than an hour and a half to charge the phone from zero to uh 100. Uh in 30 minutes with the 33 volts solution you get to 35 of your charge more or less.

There is a very powerful and fast 50 watts wireless charging, but it's difficult to find this kind of chargers with lower price. So I don't know if this is a good option, but the charging timer really is fascinating with those 45 minutes. So, after all Huawei Mate 40 pro is a really solid proposal from Huawei. We know there are no google services. So it's up to you to decide whether this is a big problem or uh.

Not the camera is incredibly powerful. The screen is very good. The battery life it's outstanding and the charging time is more than outstanding. This is a very expensive phone, but honestly it has everything that a customer would expect from a good phone. Now there are a few things to solve.

For example, you don't have a solution to use the phone while you drive like CarPlay or android auto, we miss a lot of apps, after all, in particular, for ride, sharing and a few others uh geographical located services.
