Sony Xperia 1 iii | Mark 3 Leaks & What To Expect

So as a bonus, belated Christmas present to all Sony mobile fans out there, the upcoming Xperia one mark iii, flagship phone, has prematurely leaked online ahead of its big 2021 launch. Now I was definitely a big fan of this year's Xperia one mark ii flagship form which improved on the original in quite a few areas, such as bringing back that headphone jack, improving the display and sorting out all of those camera issues as well and so forth. Certainly, those leaks and rumors have the Xperia 1 mark iii, looking like another super premium, mobile, possibly one of the best flagships of 2021 ideal for mobile gamers' movie fans and anyone who just wants something big and long stuffed in their pants. So here's what all those Xperia 1 mark, 3 leaks, see and what I personally want to see in this fresh new flagship and from one the latest greatest tech. Please do poke, subscribe and hit that notifications bell cheers now. First up, while we haven't seen any leaked photos or videos of the mark 3 just yet, you can expect so many more about the stick with basically the same design as the last two handsets, with, of course, that define and 21 by nine stretched aspect ratio.

And that's absolutely fine by me. I, like my strangely alluring phallic, shaped experience that elongated design makes for a nice comfy grip, especially with the Xperia wall mark 2, and it's lovely curvy corners, so definitely more curves on the Xperia 1 mark iii. Please, but one key area where the Xperia one mark ii really disappointed me this year was the selection of colors, or, should I say, the complete lack of selection of colors as it only came here in the UK in black, and you know black is fine, but it's a little boring. I really want some nice vivid, vibrant colors, like the lush, green or the Bordeaux red that you got on the xz3. I don't know that having that thick top bezel does turn a lot of people off.

But honestly, I think that's a good trade-off for the full view display, and I'd rather have this option than that under display selfie cam, which ZTE recently showcased on the axon 25g, which was very smart, but let's face it. The selfie results were less than great, and those leaks also partially confirm at least that the Xperia 1 mark iii will be one tough mother. It's going to have full ip68 water and dust resistance, no real surprises. The previous two models also had that, and basically all Xperia flagships going back to the beginning of time, and also, hopefully, it'll have at least gorilla glass, 6 plating front and back like last year's Xperia wall mark ii, although I'm really hoping that gets upgraded to the latest gorilla glass 7, which is apparently a lot more drop proof as well as scratch resistance. That means, if you fumble your Xperia one mark 3, and it goes slamming down on the concrete.

It's a lot less likely to shatter into bits. Although to be perfectly honest, I did kind of do that. With max period 1 mark 2 a couple of times, it dropped onto hard flooring and was absolutely fine. That thing was tougher than tackling a bumper buck of Sudoku after 12 changes and half a pint of vodka and those Xperia wall. Mark iii leaks also confirmed that Sony has stuck with the edge mounted fingerprint sensor as well, which is definitely a relief, and while I always complain in and mourn that Sony never puts face, recognition on its experienced smartphones and these plague times with face, masks and logo.

It's less of a worry now. One of the highlights of Sony smartphones is always the display and on the Xperia one mark iii, it's once again a 6.5 inch AMOLED with a gorgeous crisp 4k resolution. Sony was, of course, the first mobile manufacturer to introduce a 4k panel on a smartphone. It was the Xperia z5 premium back in 2015. If memory serves me right, which Christ that makes me feel old and back, then it was pretty pointless, but at least now, of course, you've got plenty of ultra HD content to stream on the likes of Netflix and some other streaming services as well so old gravy.

What I would absolutely love is: if Sony could somehow swing it, so you could stream sky content, like Premier League matches, for instance, in 4k to the Xperia 1 mark 3 using the sky go app. I know it's incredibly unlikely, but you can only dream. The Xperia one mark 3 will once again rock that 21 by 9 aspect ratio and, of course, that creator mode will almost certainly be back in action, given any cine files and accurate representation of the director's original visual intent. Most people won't give us stuff about that, but it's there. If you want it, the big change with the display on the Sony, Xperia 1 mark iii, is the refresh rate, something that we all expected, because the Xperia 1 mark 2 came with a basic 60 hertz refresh rate.

It did have some software smarts to kind of smooth things out a bit, but it didn't really do the same justice as a 90 hertz panel. Thankfully Sony saw the light and put a 120 hertz refresh rate screen on its Xperia 5 mark ii, and that's something that's carrying over to the Xperia one mark iii. The big question, of course, though, is: can you leave it at the 4k maximum resolution and have that 120 hertz refresh rate active at the same time, or you have to do a Samsung and like dial the resolution down to full HD in order to get that maximum refresh? It's something we'll only see once the phone launches and here's hoping that Sony announces some more exclusive partnerships for the Xperia one mark 3 as well as, for instance, the Xperia 5 mark ii was the first phone to be able to play Call of Duty mobile at that 120 hertz refresh rate, so fingers crossed for more gaming exclusives. Apart from the refresh rate. Apparently, the Xperia one mark 3 screens will also be 15 brighter than the Xperia 1 mark ii.

So it should be even more comfortable viewing outdoors on the audio front, nothing has been confirmed, but you can expect a stereo speaker setup as usual, and I really hope that, after bringing back the headphone jack in the 2020 models, Sony doesn't kill it off again because it's effing marvelous now on the performance front, these latest leaks do seem to confirm that Sony's, Xperia 1, mark iii will indeed use Qualcomm's latest snapdragon 888 flagship platforms and that's definitely a relief because Sony wasn't one of the confirmed manufacturers to be definitely 100 using the snapdragon 888 for its flagship handsets. But of course we all knew it was going to happen. Right, no worries at all and, of course, as expected, the early benchmarks for the snapdragon 88 chipsets, look very impressive indeed, so your Xperia one mark iii should be able to handle games apps, whatever you toss at it for the foreseeable future and speaking of gaming. Of course, you've got that excellent gaming mode, which Sony introduced last year offers brilliant features, including the ability to game all afternoon long with the phone plugged in without the handset warming up or absolutely bulking. The battery, basically, what I am interested to see, however, is if the remote play feature has any extra functionality thrown in there for the Xperia mark iii, especially now that obviously the PS5 is out there in the wild, so it'd be great to, for instance, have proper dual sense controller support, which we don't have right.

Now we still have to use the old dual shock and another benefit of using the snapdragon 88 chipsets is that you've got Qualcomm's integrated, x60 modem in there, which offers full 5g support both the sub six, and millimeter wave as well great news for you, us peeps, because the Xperia mach 2, I believe, only had subbed 6 support. You could also expect Wi-Fi 6 to make a welcome return and apparently, according to the lakes, the rest of the specs are rounded off, with 8 gigs of ram and 256 gigs of storage lush. Now one of my only beefs with the Xperia one mark ii was that the battery was a mere 4 000 William effort, which just about lasted the day. If you really hammered the thing, but I have seen rumors of 5, 000 million batteries being stuffed inside the Xperia wall mark 3, helped along by that smaller form of snapdragon chipset, so improved battery life would definitely be appreciated and also, if Sony could uh boost the fast charging capabilities a bit as well from 15 watts on the Xperia 1 mark ii to at least sort of 30 or 40 watts that would be grand and, of course, keeping the wireless charging when it comes to the camera tech. There have been no leaks so far on this, but I can't see it changing up too much over the mark too.

So, once again, it will likely be a triple n setup, possibly sticking with mass glass and 12 megapixel sensors. I thought that the Xperia wall mark ii's camera tech definitely was a massive improvement over the original, which is a real disappointment in HDR situations and at night, but yeah. A lot of the tricky conditions were handled well by the Xperia 1 mark ii. Maybe a bit more of an improvement on the auto mode would be appreciated. Of course, you can expect the photo pro mode and the cinema pro mode to make a very welcome return.

Indeed, so you can fiddle about with all those settings and get a very precise kind of shot. So, hopefully more leaks will emerge on the Sony, Xperia 1 mark iii, especially to do with that camera tech in the very near future. You can of course, expect the phone to launch around February time, which is when Sony tends to launch its new flagships around when MWC would typically be happening. Of course, the Sony Xperia one mark ii launched in February 2020, but didn't actually bloody emerge in shops until halfway through the year. So all of us who were really looking forward to it had serious blue ball syndrome and yeah that might have had quite a lot to do with corvids to be fair to Sony mobile.

But if you could have a bit less of a gap between launch and release with the Xperia one mark, 3 that'd be very much appreciated. Sony cheers! So that's what all the leaks in the rumors say so far about the Sony, Xperia one and mark iii, and also some of my personal wishlist, and what I'd really like to see packed in there as well, which to be fair, isn't a huge amount considering the Xperia one marked it with such a bloody brilliant blower. But how about your fine selves it'd be great to hear your own personal thoughts in the Xperia one mock three: are you excited about it? Have you got the Xperia one mark ii, and what do you think of that? Bad boy definitely be great to slap. Your comments down below. You.
