Samsung tab s6 lite vs 2019 amazon fire hd10 comparison By Fred's Aquariums and electronics

Hey everyone, so this would be a comparison between the 2019 Amazon, fire, HD 10 and the newer thing came out like a month or two ago, Samsung tab s, 6 lite, keep on wanting to call it the s7, but that's not their correct name. Uh x, s6, light here, uh. So first we're going to talk about the outsides of these I'll talk a little about specs. Then I'll do a little of a comparison here. Um push off the Samsung to the side there, so this is, of course, the white version of the 10 and go around the around here. So you have nothing on the bottom aside.

You do have spy here. I believe it does 500 and what 12 gigabytes same thing with the Samsung. Then you have your power button here, USB type c charger. You have your mic: you have a headphone jack, which is still cool uh. Not everything has those these days.

I do like them, though, and then you have your volume rocker here, and you do get dual speakers uh. These are, on the same side, show the Samsung in a moment here, they're a bit different, but both units do have uh dual speakers on them. These sound good uh, they are the best of the Amazon tablets for sound uh, probably has to do with this thing, the size of it compared to the other Amazon tablets. Of course, you do have a camera on the back, wouldn't really recommend using it, and you do have one up here. This would be okay for face um face chatting with people whatever you call that I never do it myself, but it should be okay, uh.

There are better options. If that's your goal, but it'd be okay, then I'm sorry about the fingerprints I'll disappear. When I turn on the device, then, of course this is the Samsung. So again you do get USB type c, so both units do have USB type c here you have one speaker here, and you have one speaker on the other side, whereas on Amazon they're both on the top, and then you have again you get. I believe it goes up to 512 gigabytes- hopefully, hopefully not say, megabytes before, but gigabytes, 512, gigabytes of extra uh extra storage in the turn of micro SD card here, but this one you have to put in a little pin that it comes with, and it pops this little guy out, and you can stick one in their Amazon.

It's a lot nicer. You don't have to deal with a pin. Then you have you can guess it's another microphone and volume rocker and power button. So you got a microphone up here. Headphone jack, like I said the speaker again, this guy does also come with the headphone jack, and then you have nothing on this side.

The back does have a camera as well as your front facing on here. This does have better camera than Amazon, but neither of them are going to be better than most phones are these days. Then, of course, with the light you do get the stylus with it, which is very cool uh. I really do like using styluses, just like my Samsung note, 8 camerae uh phone on my car to camera phone. That has the stylus as well, which I do like to use.

Don't use them all that often, but I do like using them, and it does just stick to the side here, uh. So if you stick it to the side that has the power button and whatnot, it actually sticks better. It will stick to the other side. Just falls off incredibly easy. Stick it to the correct side in the correct way, and it's a lot stronger there.

You go all right. So let's talk about some specs here, and I'm going to turn off the lights. So you guys can see these a bit better, see that facing the correct way I do have them both turned up all the way uh, I'm brightness here. So it's very quick, we'll talk about some specs, and we'll move on to the actual fun part of this. So we'll start off with the Amazon once again here, so it is 150 bucks compared to the Samsung's, 350 or so dollars for 150 dollars.

Though you get a 10.1 inch, 1080p full HD display, it is 1920x1200 equaling out to 224 PPI, you can either get 32 or 64 gigabytes of storage. I have the 32 gigabyte model here. It has. Outscore processor only has two gigabytes of ram, they say in the last 12 hours I would probably put under 10 hours, but I guess it depends on what you're doing with it. Does it USB type c? According to Amazon, it will charge in four hours uh, and then that was supposed to have the two megapixel front and rear cameras.

It weighs 504 grams, which is 17.8 ounces, so that is more than a pound. For those I want to know, and then dimensions are 10.3 by 6.3 by 0.4 inches or 600 262 millimeters by 159 millimeters by 9.8 millimeter, then for the Samsung here. This has an outscore processor as well. It has those. I don't know how you say this is the zernos correct me in the comments below uh 9610 on it is has a weight of 465 grams 1.02 pounds. So it is a little lighter than this.

Guy dimensions are 9.63 by 6.07 by 0.28 inches. It does not give me millimeters on Samsung's website here five megapixel front facing eight megapixel rear facing camera, so, like I said it does have a better camera on it again. This has a last up to 13 hours, and it depends on what your, how you use the device. Now it actually comes with double the ram and double of the storage, and it is also double the price uh again at 350 bucks, but gives you four gigabytes of ram, which is pretty sweet and that's 64, gigabytes of storage. Uh.

Then. Actually, I'm going to correct myself and what I said before it says it can do up to a one terabyte, a micro SD card, whereas this guy, I believe, is only 512, which is still quite a bit. If you ask me personally, never get anywhere close to using that resolution is 2000 by 1200, and it has a 10.4 inch display and, as you guys see here, it is a lot smaller bezels than on this chunker chunkier there, and then this also has. It is tuned by AKG with adobe at most uh. This also has double Atmos as well, though uh like I said that also comes with the s pen.

This you can use styluses, I'm sure um, but this actually has s pen, which gives a bit more functionality than a standard stylus redo. One quick thing to know about this, too, is it at least from my note 8 that stylus works on this as well, but this stylus here does not work on my phone, quick, quick little thing there and let me turn off the light. Uh we'll talk about the brightness real fast one thing I've noticed over time is: if you have the Amazon, uh brightness up all the way you do get some pretty bad light bleed. Depending on how you look at the device. Uh look at it at any weird sort of angle.

You will be seeing the lights coming through the screen. Hopefully that makes some sense. Personally, I keep my brightness below half it's usually about a fourth of what it can be uh, so I don't notice it then. But if you, if you are someone who has your brain, is up all the way or very close to it, uh you will be seeing some light bleed. If you don't look at it directly, pretty much directly the way you normally look at it.

So if you look at it from the side or any weird angle, you'll notice, some lights bleed uh. This one is up all the way as well. Okay, it was up all the way as well uh you don't really get that same effect, there's nowhere near to the extent, and then this is up. If it'll cooperate. Okay, love when things don't cooperate.

Sorry before she went into show mode uh. This is up by the way. So, of course, you have two very different. Looking screens they both do have android on them. Uh.

There is some sort of android item. This looks more like your standard well and if you have a Samsung device, this looks just like anything. That's Samsung, just like this looks like anything that is Amazon uh. So this you scroll up and down. You have all your apps on this one screen, but you can go to the side and get all these different specific screens and the Samsung course.

You can go side to side as well, but you get the same finished home screen on here: scroll up or down, and it'll bring you up. All of your apps are on here. So that's pretty basic stuff uh. I want to do something like speed tests here, so we're going to use like their internet, I'm going to use both of their standard Internets, and we will get into a little of a speed test, internet browser style, so we're going to use the soap browser on Amazon and then the internet, the Samsung internet, on the Samsung is what they come with. The Samsung does come with chrome as well here, uh one more quick thing.

I do want to note I'll, probably come back to in a moment. Uh, though, is you can get Google Play Store? Of course, it comes on the Samsung standard uh, but you can get Google Play Store go to my channel if you want to figure out find how to do it. It's like five minutes. We can get that on the Amazon and I highly recommend it so much better than the Amazon app store. So one two three all right, we'll try that one more time here, one two three! So, let's see Samsung's a little faster uh.

Both these are in dark mode as well um. Hopefully you guys can see us through the screen, though the Amazon. Definitely you can see the light just coming through the screen like the dark are not or the black's, not very black. Again, that can be negated just by lowering the darkness of it uh the brightness of it don't like the darkness, but there's something to note. If you do keep your brightness up all the way, all right, one, two three or YouTube.

com uh, okay, we're gonna, go to a few different websites, and you can. You will see that they are pretty dang close in speed for this type of thing. I think this is really what people are going to be buying these for the only thing you're going to be buying a 300 or a 150 dollar device or there's a video of 100. Oh actually, Amazon, one uh, you know we're not going to buy one of these devices. I don't think for anything too crazy, but if you are more power to you, one thing to note too, is on this.

This little display here, um like on my iPad. It actually does a little uh. These lines go up and down uh on both of these devices. It does not do that. It does not do that.

Little coolness, I'm going to probably try to keep on using this stylus on the Amazon, and it just is not going to work all right. I'm going to go bestbuy. com. You know this can kind of trip up some devices all right, so Samsung definitely won on that guy. Okay, don't care get out of the way just type in tablet, just quick best buy search for tablet here, all right that was pretty dang close.

We hit the iOS, and this is, I think, we're done loading, but this was starting to do it first. I do swear. This does have dark mode on uh. It shows right here, so I can use light thing, but I'm using dark theme so see the difference in Samsung's, dark theme and Amazon's dark theme here all right. Next, let's go to samsung.

com. If I can spell, of course, juice on the speed will be chalked up to me hitting one before the other one. I don't mean to do it, it's just how it is. I don't know what happened here, but apparently that's what it wants to load all right, then we'll go to Amazon as well. Furthermore, I'm sure a lot of people will be using devices like this to go shopping online and what better website is there than Amazon find all that good stuff? Okay, we're going to keep these open as well.

Here I will go into the Google Play Store here. It's a play, store play, store one two three Samsung way faster, now, don't yell at me because I'm signing in I'm sure. That's probably what I did it's like. Oh, you signed in on Google Play Store on a different account or a different device. All right then we'll go to YouTube's.

Okay, this would have won if it didn't have a little pop-up. I know I'm not signing on here, but we're going I'm going to type in 4k. I love searching for 4k videos during these uh video comparisons. Here I see Mars and of course you know, get add on one and not on the other and tell you oh get two ads on one and that on the other, I tell you all right. So you see this is loading in at only 480.

Sometimes I do 1080, sometimes there's 360. I don't know- and this is loading in a 1080. We'll restart both these or not. No, try to make a video something everything just goes wrong. All right.

You see they're both voting, just fine um again, though, if you did bring yourself all the way, and I'll keep mentioning this. This thing is black, it's just very nice and black for the most part, there's a little of light blade. Don't get me wrong! I probably can't see this through this video. What you guys are watching uh, but all this black down here again bring. This is up by the way.

If it wasn't, you won't see this, but it does have light blade. A lot of light to bleed Samsung does have a nicer screen on it. I have bad eyes. I can't really tell that much of difference, but there is a difference. Uh just so you guys know there is a difference uh and this still does uh full 80 full HD 1080, but it just isn't as good.

I actually want to turn this brain is down a bit. I don't know. Why does he give me so much issue? Okay, you can just turn down a bit like that helps so much okay. All right, then we're just going to calculators here. Maybe about the same, if I actually hit him at the same time, but I did not, I will go into cameras find my camera one, two, three a lot of apps- and this is very crazy.

Miner. A lot of apps on Amazon do look pretty similar, so you're trying to find them, and there goes my ROG sorry he's a loud pooch I'll go to the calendar. All right then we'll do we'll do Call of Duty, then we'll just reopen some apps uh. So both these are nice devices uh. What this is going to definitely win, though, is it.

It is a little faster on the Samsung um and also at four gigabytes of ram, which should help keep things open, longer, uh, better uh, so don't restart stuff like I'm this guy. This guy is not so good at keeping multiple apps open at one time on the Amazon and see this is loaded. That's still loading, that's alerted, so it's not much of a difference in speed there. Both of these are playable um. For some reason, my account has seemed to have disappeared, come on uh for some of you guys it seemed to have disappeared on Call of Duty.

I was playing it check out some other videos, comparisons. You see, I was playing Call of Duty and some reason now it's making me reset them. So I said no, thank you all right. So, let's go back through these no reset uh. I think a little of a reset there.

The keyboard is bigger on the Amazon, but on the Samsung you get all the numbers. Okay go to play store, see no reset uh. I think that reset a little there, so two gigabyte or ram definitely hurts this guy. Even the new eight plus actually holds stuff open better than the 10 does, and that that's, because that has three gigabytes of ram compared to the two again. This is our reset.

This is not so. This is where that ram comes in very much handy. Okay, neither of those reset the calculator, so that's good uh resetting did not reset crazy. How much that ram helps. Okay, both of those were good at the call of duty not resetting unless down here is going to reset, so any heavier application is going to reset on the Amazon, whereas on I'm on the Samsung, just because it has that ram, it just helps so much guys helps so much all right go back to here.

We should be the Amazon that time it did not reset. So that's good. So all in all, I would say that the Samsung is going to be a better device and the price definitely reflects that at over double the price. Again, Samsung is about 350 dollars. Again, this is the light version, not the actual s6 um, but that over double the price is definitely going to be a bit of a better device.

So my takeaway here is: if you want a good device and do not want to spend a lot of money, the Amazon is going to work for most people. You can watch YouTube videos, you can search to search the internet. The ram will get to you, sometimes, though, so, for instance, doing cars. com here. If I search on there for 20 plus minutes it will, after about 20 30 minutes it just resets the um it'll, just reset everything on me: uh it'll, pretty much just kind of start, freezing upstart going very, very slow, and eventually it just restarts itself.

Oh sorry, to hit the camera um, so things like that are very annoying on here. Again, even the new eight plus doesn't do that um. I believe that, just because of the ram um otherwise, besides from that, that's the only issue I've ever had with it, and that's just in this one app is after using that one after a while it kind of freezes up uh. I was playing card doing on here for a little while does not have that issue, some apps do some, don't I think again. This has to do with the ram uh, where this is not going to have an issue just because it has that more ram and also a better processor in it.

So I would say if you guys want a very nice device, and you don't mind- spending actually 200 bucks. The Samsung is definitely a better device, but if you just want a nice device just for normal use, uh you don't have to have the best for 150. This thing is very nice, uh, and otherwise I'd also give you guys the option of actually what I would go with um, if you, if you don't want to spend the 350 bucks on the Samsung uh says again: they're going to be the best device um, but it's actually getting the new Amazon, HD 8, plus the plus version. That's only 110 bucks, it's even cheaper than the 10 uh allows you not mine that smaller screen um just because you have a bit more ram, so things stay open, especially using multiple apps at one time. The actual bit of ram helps a lot but again 150 bucks, Amazon, hd10, not bad.

I cannot wait for them to come out with the plus version of it, though um so takeaway here is you don't want to spend a lot of money but still want to decent the device, get the 10 or look at the hd8 plus uh for even cheaper uh, but you have to have that bigger screen size, which I don't blame you. This is a very good device. I just know it does have some limitations, of course 150 dollars uh. But if you want around a 10-inch device- and this actually has a 10.4, so it's even bigger than this guy, and you want to be able to run them off with stuff at one time without them restarting uh. You just want that nicer premium feel as this is plastic.

This is, I believe, it's some sort of metal. It's just a lot nicer device overall um then go ahead and spend extra 200 bucks and get this guy um. That is right up to you. So both devices are very nice. It just depends on how much money you want to spend and how much you really need that ram.
