Samsung tab a7 vs 2019 amazon fire hd10 comparison and speed test By Fred's Aquariums and electronics

Hey everyone says to be a comparison between the 2019 Amazon, fire, HD 10 and the newer 2020 Samsung tab, a7 here so specs. This has a MediaTek processor, with two gigabytes of ram and 32 gigabytes of storage, which is expandable using micro SD right here. It is normally 150 bucks right now for Black Friday, they are on sale for somewhere about 80, which is crazy, good deal. This guy right here is actually has a snapdragon in it. It has three gigabytes of ram, so one more gig than the Amazon has, and it has 32 gigabytes of storage as well, and if you pop out this with the included pin, you can expand its storage as well with again a micro SD card as well, and I'll give you a quick tour around each device. So Amazon has camera up there front facing camera.

On top, you have your volume, rocker have headphone jack mic, USB type c charging port and then your power buttons right there again. There is your expandable storage slot. Then it has dual speakers, and they actually do sound pretty good, and you get the nice smiley face and then a back facing camera is not too good, but it is there. If you need it, then on the Samsung you have your front facing camera is now on the side, which is cool. That way.

It makes it better for video conferencing side. Here you have your power button vein, rocker mic! You have actually four speakers on this. You have two down here, and then you have USB type c charging as well. Headphone jack is right there, so it's cool. They actually still include that again there is your expandable storage and then there are your two other speakers and again this device sounds perfect, and then you do have one camera here, but does have the two different modes to it and this it does have a better camera than the Samsung, but neither of them are fantastic.

Your phone probably has a better camera than either of these two have one thing that this will have that this does not have to is face unlock. So if you set it up, you can unlock the device with your face. Probably does not work very well if you have a mask on, but you can do it, whereas the Amazon does not allow that feature. Uh. Let's talk about normal price here, so this is normally 150.

This is normally about 230, so there is somewhere about 75, 80 75 to 80 difference with the Samsung costing more. This is a plastic cheaper feel, but it still feels good. This is a more premium feel to it, and it just feels a bit more solid and if you kind of push a bit too hard on the Amazon, which I mean, if you're trying to break the thing, you can feel it kind of move on you, but I don't know who's going to be pushing it hard anyway, and then the big difference in the way. These look is gonna, be these bezels. They are pretty dang big, especially in 2020, even in 2019, when this was released, these bezels are big, the top and bottom.

The sides are about the same, but the top and bottom on Amazon are huge. This is 10.1 inches. This is 10.4 some people like bezel some people do not. I personally do not mind having bezels on it. You know this is a smaller screen.

It almost seems bigger because of these bezels. They kind of play tricks on your eyes in a way. Maybe that's just me, I don't know, then this guy is also thicker than the Samsung is. I think see it's also quite a bit taller and that's because of those bezels. The Amazon comes with the suite of Amazon stuff.

So you get Amazon. The shop Amazon you get soap, browser which is Amazon's browser. You get the app store, the Amazon, app store. You get the prime video Amazon, kids, you got a utility suite here. Furthermore, you get kindle Amazon, music, audible, Amazon, news, Amazon, photos, Amazon, games, Amazon, a and goo dreads, and then you get a generic email that actually works pretty.

Well, then you also get kindle newsstand, and then you get a file system there as well, and then, of course you have your camera and your settings. So it comes with a bunch of stuff that you cannot actually delete. So if you push and hold an icon down, it will show you the stuff that is highlighted or things that you can delete and what things I can delete are things that I have downloaded myself. So all the Amazon stuff you are stuck with you like it or not. You are stuck with it then down here you'll see there is on the newer OS updates.

There is a smart home icon right down here, so you hit that, and you can do all your smart home features which is actually pretty cool. Then you have your back button, your home button, and this will get you to your recent apps then going over. You have your bugs videos. Bunch of other stuff here and Taylor way. Give you let's get back on that stuff.

For you personally, the display is nice. It is full HD and it is not bad. Looking at the Samsung here, you get your android stuff on here. So you get your weather. You get all these widgets and stuff in your course, do a bunch of widgets on the Amazon.

You cannot really do any widgets on here. Furthermore, you can and of course you can change it up, but you get a bunch of apps. I'm not going to read all these, but you get all this stuff, except for Call of Duty that I downloaded myself, but you can get it. Of course, I'm going to get a bunch of stuff on here as well. Now a bunch of this stuff can be deleted.

Unlike on Amazon, where you kind of stuck with Amazon stuff, you almost delete everything on here, and you also do get Samsung notes, which is pretty nice, but you do not get an s pen with this, and s pens do not work. I've tried my s pen from my Samsung tab, s6. It just doesn't work with this device, sadly, not sure why they did not integrate s pen use with it uh. I see why they didn't give you an s pen, since it's a pretty cheap device, it would have been nice if you could use an iceberg head from like a phone or for or a different tablet with it. But you can't so and then a moment here we're going to get into a bit of a speed test and before we begin that, I want to say that you can download the Google Play Store on Amazon devices.

If you want to know how go to my channel, otherwise just google if it's very easy to do. It takes like five minutes, if that so do that. But with that said, though, you cannot get every single app off of the play store, they could get on a non-fire device, so, for instance, I can. I could not find Pok?mon masters on the play store and I cannot find offer up on the play store, but I could get PUBG mobile. I could get Call of Duty, so most apps are on there, but not every single app is compatible with the fire, which is kind of sad, but it's just how it is, whereas on the Samsung you will be able to right now, I'm going to get into a bit of a speed test here.

So I'm going to be using the soap browser which is Amazon's browser on the fire. That's what it comes with and on here I'm going to be using Google Chrome, because again that's what it comes with also comes with Samsung's, but I just really do not like Samsung's browser nowhere near as much it just doesn't. Looks too good to me. I have cleared both histories, so this will be like starting from new we're just going to go to a few websites and see how each of them do. First, we'll start off with bestbuy.

com. This website is wonky, as can be even on higher end devices. You know on my s6 it's its weird. This doesn't cooperate 100 percent, so one two three, so they're both doing about the same. This is actually amazing.

Actually one nope not above reloading, okay, yeah Amazon won actually just by a smudge, which is actually somewhat surprising. All right. We are going to look up, we'll look up Amazon fire, one, two, three we're both still loading Samsung, oh yep, Samsung, one that time bios image, and you can see you can see more well yeah. You can see a little more on the Samsung that you can on this guy and quick note here. You might not be able to see this in the video, but the uh side by side.

Furthermore, you will notice. This does have a bit of a yellow hue to it. This is more white when you're not side by side. You probably won't even notice that, but it is something to note on here, and you see 32 gigs. It's only 80 bucks right now, which is crazy.

It's actually cheaper than the uh hd8, the new wishes on your device, but still make sure I hit the right one here, one two three! So we're not gonna. Let these finish loading, but we're going to go down here. I'm going to hit specs, I'm going to hit specs, see that's why this website's wonky is because they're hidden, specs and see it takes a little. So I know it doesn't finish: loading hundred percent being on other higher-end devices. It does the same thing: okay or like you'll, hit specs, and it'll open up like overview or open up something else.

So you don't want to be opening, so they're, pretty close, though these both devices seem to be about right on par with each other. That time Samsung definitely won this game to the page. First, all right, then we're just going to open up another there, and we're going to go to Pok?mon. com. Another thing to note is: if you do use chrome, it will of course default to google as a browser, whereas on the Amazon it will default to Bing using its browser.

One two three. Like always, I like using Pok?mon's website because there's a bunch of pictures and whatnot, I think Amazon or the Samsung won by hair there, and you know, there's a bunch of pictures bunch of things to see a bunch of stuff to load. Again, I'm going to have to go to Samsung by like a millisecond again, you can see a little more on the Samsung you can on Amazon, but it's a very small amount, the Harvard uh. That was again, I think Samsung wins by a millisecond uh. One thing that is interesting to me is on all tablets.

These are. These bars. Are uh just go straight up? They don't do any real motions, they just kind of appear, whereas on, if you use like a computer, an actual computer, they will do a little whoop a little motion. I don't know why that is. I guess something to do with tablets compared to computers, but something that's interesting to me.

Then we'll go to monster hunter. com, which is even better than Pok?mon, because there's a there are big pictures to load and, like I always say my videos on this, you guys never played master hunter. I highly recommend it fantastic games. I don't know which one loaded first there and, of course you can go to desktop site on both of these. Furthermore, I'm not gonna, try and hit them, I'm doing them separately there they loaded pretty much the same.

Furthermore, I would say we're going to do ice born, which is for Xbox and PS4 Samsung one go for English on both of those OJ console. Both devices are running very quickly. Right now, I must say, which probably means my internet's doing actually pretty good. Well, here we'll play this video. Sorry, I forgot.

My volume was up we'll come back to actual videos on actually on YouTube in a moment, let's see even not on actual YouTube browser just on the internet. These are both able to play videos and they both look pretty dang good December 4th. That's coming up all right, we're going to keep these open, and then we are going to go to we'll open up Call of Duty here. So one two three, and we can see we'll, show you which one is faster loading. This then also show off which way how each of them do graphics here as well spoiler alert both of these can play Call of Duty, actually playing pretty it plays in decently.

Well, both of these not sure. What's up with the Amazon the moment, I don't know why it kind of froze there. That is rather annoying all right so that one's done. This is having a hiccup. It is not usually like that.

I swear. I'm going to get rid of Call of Duty there I'll reopen it okay, so you see that was pretty quick on the Samsung all right. So while this one is loading, we're going to put it up here, I'm going to slide this guy over I'm going to turn up the volume on the Samsung. That's all the way up again, four speakers so see it sets it in medium and medium. That is very loud, and now we're waiting for the Amazon to load here.

Yeah. For some reason, did I hiccup something all tablets. Do I mean I wouldn't knock down the Amazon because of that there's something all tablets will do sometimes is get little hiccups and go hmm, don't want to work, then you know just exit the app get back into the app, and usually it works again just technology for you? This can go up to very high on graphics and high on frame rates. So if you didn't want to put it at higher graphics, you can and again, so it's a medium, but I can go up to higher, very high and then high one once this loads here we'll show that off all right now we're going to settings. I don't know why show me that, but okay, so this will do it.

This sets in a medium as well, just like the Samsung we're going to do high and high it's very high and high. So again, something just to note here. Both these brightnesses are about the same this one. The Samsung does look a bit better than the Amazon and that's just because they're side by side. If they were not side by side, it probably would not notice that.

But it is something to note for those of us that care about that next, we'll go into YouTube's, the actual app, so I see Samsung is faster. Both these are updated to the newest YouTube. We have the little plus down here and stuff, I'm going to type in 4k one two three or turn down this volume. I want to hit the correct button here: don't hit the power button all right, let's try to find something here. Samsung is loading faster? Well, it was not sure.

What's up with the Amazon now so Samsung is playing in 1080 whoa. You guys cannot see that at all. Let's just focus on there. Sorry about that, so we're playing in 1080p. This is playing in 720, but I can go up to 1080.

And this is able to go up to 1080. For some reason it keeps on pausing again. The Samsung definitely looks better. So if you're someone who must have a good screen the best looking screen, the Samsung definitely looks better and then Amazon does look good, though. Hopefully you guys can someone tell that in this video, but the Amazon just doesn't look quite as good, doesn't quite as vibrant as a good way to put it.

You know we're both in 1080p. I just want to show you guys the brightness real, fast and Samsung's right there Amazon's right there, so they're, very, very close to each other. Both of these do have a little of black bars on them, but it's not too bad. Nothing like an iPad would have what has the giant black bars playing YouTube? I want to say this that Amazon is a tiny bit bigger of a black bar, but I mean again not noticeable unless they're right next to each other. All right, then, we're going to do one more thing here then we're going to end this video, that's just going back into other apps, so first we'll go into back into the browser, one two three, so that is basically reloading.

This actually kept it open yep. So this has to reload this guy kept it open. That's one thing: you'll notice, actually about the Amazon as well, is that it will reload purge everything again, even when compared to the hd8, plus it actually reloads more things than the had plus does, and that's because of the ram Call of Duty again reloading it's right back in the action. That's really cool for a 200 around 200 devices about 150 bucks, that's pretty dang, sweet and then last but not least, we'll go back into YouTube here so that it did keep open, probably because it was the last thing we had all right guys. So both of these are pretty nice devices again their normal price you're talking about around 75 to 80.

Increase of this guy on price. So again, this is about 150. This is about 230, or so for the same for base models of them. You can. You can increase the storage on both of these as well, which is very nice, something you do not get on other products, such as apple uh.

Both of these are pretty fairly priced. Again, though, you get one more gigabyte of ram which, as you saw at the end, there definitely does play a role in keeping apps open, whereas this guy only has two, and it just doesn't do as good of a job at keeping apps open. Uh. Again, though, I really do like both devices. I've had this, for I want wow since it came, I want to say, since it came out last year, and I really do like it.

Uh nice thing about it, too, is that it's plastic, so it's pretty dang durable, it's just not gonna, be able to hurt it as much um right now, 80 bucks 150, let me know which one you guys like better as I do like both devices.
