Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 Hands On: A Rugged Outdoor Smartphone

Nicole Stott here for mobile geeks in here I'm, taking a look at this Samsung X cover for this is a rugged smartphone. You can tell by the bottom how there is just so much plastic in that microUSB slot there and as well the back. Well, it just looks like a rugged phone. We have nice kind of angles here for when it's in hand, 13 megapixel shooter on the back power button there ridges along the side, just to make sure that you have a nice grip on the handset looking at the display. That is an HD display, so that 720p is that five inches right there. Now on the bottom, you can see that we have a lot of rug ability built in because these physical hardware buttons are just massive.

We are running Android 7.0, which I was actually quite surprised about, especially because this has a $250 price point. Now, that's a five megapixel camera on the front. The power button and volume rocker are here on the side. Whoa. Is that a physical? So that's the power button, okay, that I guess with the quick launch buttons that best happens.

Sometimes I probably put it up yeah there we go. Let me he would click Launch, that's actually quite nice, I didn't realize that oh, and it turns on the flashlight Oh a dedicated flashlight button. It's nice when you have dedicated hardware buttons for stuff. Now, let's take a quick look at the camera, because I did see a couple of sample shots here now I am at the Samsung Roadshow, and they have their TVs on display. We take a look at that now.

I did shoot some glass. This is fairly difficult. It did pretty good with all the reflections now the background definitely look pixelated, but that's very bright, and that week was very dark, happy cinematic, texture, so I! Imagine if you do like function, we need to take photos. This will get the job done, but Fortuna Attila price point it being rugged is definitely a high feature. Now like the selfie cam is fun a 5 megapixels on the front and the fact that this is 250 dollars is just a real winner for me, considering if you're after a very rugged phone.

Now it's hurting an external 75 70 I'm, not sure about the RAM, but if you take off the back cover one of the great things about this with you're looking for a rugged device, you can replace the batteries with the two thousand eight hundred million per battery. You can expand the storage with a micro SD card slot now I'm, assuming that isn't going to come with 16, since the price is rather budget. So this is a very quick look at a rugged outdoor phone from Samsung, which is the X coverage for, and I'm Nicole Stott for mobile geeks. Here at the Samsung roadshow.
