Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 vs Galaxy Tab S6 Comparison - WHICH to Buy?

All right, so today's video has been requested by many of you guys. It's the comparison of last year's tablet. Last year's flagship tablet from Samsung the Galaxy Tab s6 versus this year flagship tablet: the Galaxy Tab s7, let's get into it, okay, so let's talk design starting with the Galaxy Tab. S6, it's a premium tablet, no other way around it. It looks it feels that way. Very nice looking front here with that uniform bezel around it and on this one you do get that selfie camera on the short side of the tablet.

So when you hold it in portrait mode, it would be at the top right there. Now its pretty light feels very dense. It's a solid tablet! You have that all metal unibody back here with that main camera at the top. There again it feels pretty dense, maybe a little weight, but nothing really heavy. So overall, it's very light nice for portability, and it also feels extremely well-balanced, and even though that tab s6 is premium, it's definitely a premium tablet.

The tab s7 somehow feels even more premium than that's tab. S6 it has this very smooth or polished finish on the back here. It is also an all metal unibody tablet. The metallic rim around the flat sides here makes it look even more premium, maybe because it's just kind of shiny you get a quad speaker set up tuned by AKG, and they sound pretty nice. You also have a SD card slot.

You have the pins for the keyboard, and you have a physical fingerprint sensor on the tab. S7 it's embedded in that power button there, but on the tab, s6, you actually have an optical fingerprint sensor. Now, let's go ahead and talk specs and performance, and before we jump into that, if you're new to the channel here, welcome, of course, if you do like the content so far, please do me a huge favor and hit both the like and the subscribe button. There truly appreciate that that's one of the best ways to support this channel, but anyways so specs and performance. Both tablets are very, very powerful tablets.

Each is the best tablet at the time of release, meaning the tab. S6 was the best when it was released last year and the tablet 7 and the tablet 7 plus, are the best, and I'm talking specifically in the android platform. The tablet 6 boasts that still very powerful snapdragon 855 chipsets, which is still pretty relevant even in today's standards. It's coupled with six gigs of ram with one UI sitting on android. As I mentioned there, it's been excellent for multitasking, it's still very speedy, very snappy, it's a very, very good, high productivity tablet.

The Galaxy Tab s7, on the other hand, is boasting the newest chipset from Qualcomm. Well, the current best from Qualcomm. So that's the snapdragon 865 plus that chipset is just amazing. It's an amazing processor. It's really fast, really snappy! You also have one UI sitting on here.

It's also coupled with six gigs of ram and everything is so silky smooth on this thing and, as you would imagine, the tab s7 is faster with that 865 plus right, so the 865 chipset is definitely more. It performs better than the 855. However, you won't really catch the difference on the day-to-day. You know stuff that you do on your tablet. You know day-to-day tasks that you accomplish, you're doing, or you're completing on your tablets.

Furthermore, you're, definitely not going to notice a difference. If you really, really pay close attention to it, and you start testing out specific things, then you may start noticing some differences. However, if you're just doing regular day-to-day stuff, there's no lag: no stutter, no crashes, none of that stuff with either one of these tablets. Now, let's talk display, starting with the Galaxy Tab s6 here, it's HDR, 10 plus, and a super AMOLED display here, standing at 10.5 inches with 1600 by 2560 for the resolution and a 287 PPI the refresh rate on this tab. Six, however, is 60 hertz.

It's such a beautiful display, as you would imagine, it's an AMOLED made by Samsung right, so very nice level of saturation. You know you have deeper blacks and deeper reds. It's such a beautiful screen. It offers a fantastic entertainment experience, whether it be for movies or gaming. Furthermore, it's just as good, especially when you think about the performance specs that are highlighted not too long ago.

The tab s7 is an 11 inch. IPS display also HDR 10, plus capable it has 271 PPI with a resolution of 1600 by 2560 and, most importantly, it has a 120 hertz, refresh rate on that display. It's so beautiful and colors do really pop, and it's very bright images are really sharp. Also, the high refresher here makes the scrolling, through things so smooth. It truly improves the user experience and still talking to display and brightness.

Here as a side note, the Galaxy Tab s6 is at up to about 473 nits, whereas the tab s7 is at around 500. Well, let's just call it 500 nits, although that tab, s7 screen, does seem extremely reflective, as you can see here now, they're both different types of displays, but they're also both very nice display, but in this case essentially, if you pick one you'll be giving up one thing for another right now for battery the Galaxy Tab. S7 has a slightly larger battery at 8 000 William hour. Now you have to keep in mind that this is an IPS display. It has 120 hertz refresh rate, and it's brighter right.

So these are things that you have to consider, but the Galaxy Tab s6 has a slightly smaller battery and, as advertised can go up to 18 hours of video playback versus 15 hours of video playback with the tab s7 now I personally haven't been able to hit those targets advertised by Samsung, but I can tell you that the tab s6 has a battery that lasts longer much longer than the battery on the Galaxy Tab. S7. Now, let's go ahead and cover a little more additional features. As I mentioned earlier, you do have a quad speaker set up on each one of these tablets. You know they sound, really, really crisp and really nice to make.

You know your user experience, especially when watching movies more of an enjoyable experience. Also, they both have facial recognition. They have micro, SD card slots for internal storage and that you can expand at up to one terabyte. They each have a fingerprint sensor with the tab, s6 being an in display optical sensor, whereas the Galaxy Tab s7 is an actual physical one. So the unlocking process is actually slightly faster on the Galaxy Tab.

S7, because once you press that button, it just unlocks, as opposed to the tab s6 where you have to wake the tablet. First, both tablets do support Samsung decks so for high productivity things where you just need kind of a computer setup or desktop setup. These are excellent right, and it works pretty well and Samsung has tried to kind of optimize. This may need a little more optimization to make it just be perfect, but so far it works just great now. As far as gaming goes, I'm not going to say that I'm a hardcore gamer where every minute I'm gaming.

However, I do play games from time to time and both tablets have handled gaming pretty well right, so they have specs to be able to handle those high graphic games. As you can see, you know, although it seems to me, as things run a little smoother on the Galaxy Tab, seven are a little brighter. Also, again, it could just be me, but I do find that gaming is a little better on the tab s7. Maybe it's just a high refresh rate, so for camera they pretty much get the same camera right, so you get that 13 megapixel wide camera and also a 5 megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the back there that shoots, I believe, 4k at 30 frames per second and on the front, the selfie cameras on each one of these tablets is an 8 megapixel camera that would shoot 1080p at 30 frames per second now images definitely do come out pretty clean.

You might find some slight differences, but essentially they're the same camera right images come out pretty clean, as I mentioned, videos also do come out very clean, now conference calling specifically zoom. I know tons of people generally like to ask about Zoom Zoom calls are pretty clear. You know. Images are also clear, so you have no worries there. Now, let's talk about the pencils that come with these tablets, both s pens are filled with features right, so they're, some of the most modern s pens by Samsung, and they work very well with these tablets.

However, the s pen on the tab, s7 has been improved because you get less latency and I believe, we're talking about nine millisecond response time. You do get access to all the high productivity features that are loaded in the s pen. Now the tab, s7 s pen seems to be a lot more comfortable to the hold, and also even just drawing or writing with it, because it feels like an actual pen right. So this has been improved to just feel better and have you know, provide better feedback also, they both have a charging pad on the back of the tablet here and, as you would imagine things like signing documents, you know writing or sending animated text writing over images, and things like that, you are able to do all that good stuff with the s pen on either one of these tablets. Overall, here's my take.

These are both very powerful tablet. Like I said, the tab. Six is still a very relevant tablet. They both have powerful processor, but the tab. S7 is an overall improved tablet from the Galaxy Tab.

S6 again that doesn't change the fact that the Galaxy Tab s6 is a great tablet. Like I said, the tablet 7 is just kind of an improved version of that tab. S6 either. One of these tablets still very good tablets to pick up, but you know, of course you want to consider all the variables associated with buying one of these, and one of the main variables, of course, would be the price right. So what are you out there? Looking for your know, you got to figure out what you're looking for the type of tablet that would satisfy those needs before you go ahead and buy one of these.

But if you pick up a tab six, it's still a flagship tablet well from last year, but it can still handle its own. But then again you just got to figure out. You know your price point figure out your needs so that you can find a tablet that would satisfy those needs. Like I said, I keep repeating myself. I know that the tab six is still a great tablet.

The tablet seven current best android tablets right anyways. I hope you found this informative and that it helps your purchasing decision if you are out there looking to purchase either. One of these, please don't forget, of course, to like comment subscribe. I'm going to catch you in the comment section like I always do, and I'm also going to catch you in the next video and up until then stay safe out. There.
