Hi there welcome to my channel random upload today because of the spontaneous purchase. My channel doesn't usually focus on tablets, but I felt like sharing this one today. First off, I'm in no means a tablet reviewer, but I am an unboxing channel, so I'm going to unbox this tablet and show what it comes with and turn it on, eventually just to show off what that looks like, but I'll save a detailed look where I usually do gaming tests and other tests of that nature for a future video for those interested. But the other emphasis for this video is that I got this for a perfect deal at Best Buy, and I wanted to share that with you all through this video. So this is the Samsung Galaxy tab, a7 lite, and this was really sometime in May of this year and as mentioned earlier, I got this for a pretty decent price from Best Buy and I got it for a 149.99 today. As of the upload date of this video, it retails for 199.99, so 50 off. But the weird thing is: this: is the model with larger ram and ram.
So it comes with 64, gigs of storage and 4 gigs of ram, but then there's also another lower model: that's 32, gigs of storage with 3 gigs of ram and that one isn't on sale. So it's actually 10 more at the moment. So that's a bit strange and to add on, I have low expectations with this thing from the start. I just want to put that out there, because both models have the same MediaTek processor. So it's not a snapdragon, so this isn't going to be for power users or anybody looking for a middle to higher tier tablet.
With that sort of strength, sure very smash, and I got this mainly for her online classes, so she doesn't have to look around a laptop and for light usage. You know web browsing YouTube strictly for casual use, so fingers crossed that four gigs of ram with a MediaTek processor can handle that, but anyway, moving on, let's actually get this opened up and remove this lid and show off what the actual tablet looks like and what accessories it comes with. So far, it's a pretty pleasant, unboxing experience. Here's the tablet itself! I love how graspable it is already. I can fit that in one hand it's so hard having a 10-inch tablet, sometimes anyway, so I kind of messed up on opening this part right here and for those of you new to my videos.
Furthermore, I like to speed up these portions because they're not too important. The accessories are right there, it's one of those slow, Samsung chargers. It's not one of the quick chargers, they're nice enough to have an USB c to USB a cable, and I'm pretty sure that top portion is just gonna, be for the quick start guide. So that's kind of a waste of space. I was getting excited.
Hopefully some wired earbuds would be in there or something. But I know companies aren't doing that any more nowadays, because this minimalistic nature is absolutely terrible for the consumer and that gripe can be saved for another video for another day. But here is the Samsung Galaxy, a7, lite or tab a7 light, whatever it's a whole tongue, twister trying to get that all out there. But let me get my wide angle lens put on so nothing's cut off and the whole tablet can be seen in frame, so it's in a little sleeve. So that's some nice protection and let me figure it out there.
It is it's actually like a little envelope. So that's pretty awesome. I haven't seen that yet and it's a cool metallic gray. So I love how most of the housing is metal, the bottom and top portion where it's a bit darker, almost black, that's made out of plastic, so I'm assuming that's for the ports and just to make sure that it doesn't overheat down there, and it stays safe to the touch when you're charging, or you have some earbuds in. But overall it's a nice clean color, and it almost looks pretty premium.
So I like that touch, of course, there's a bezel that goes all around, and I don't mind that, because it gives you a place to hold without touching the screen at times when, especially if you're watching a video or whatnot and here's a better look at the top, where one of the speakers is housed- and I believe there are two speakers on this- so that's another nice touch having stereo speakers on a budget tablet is definitely a positive. So here's the left side where the micro USB tray is, and I believe it can handle up to a terabyte. So here's the bottom and thankfully there's a 3.5 millimeter jack right there, an USB port for charging and the second speaker- and I think that little tiny hole is a microphone and finally, the right side where the volume control and the power button is located. So for those wondering the front camera on this thing is only two megapixels and the back side has an 8 megapixel camera, and I mentioned that I do a more detailed test in the future, but that's only if this gains more interest, so I'll more than likely do that. If I get a few comments down below asking for those tests, so a camera test along with a gaming test microphone- and I do test the speakers at the end of this video as soon as I turn this on and get everything powered up and go through the whole setup process, but leave a comment down below showing some interest, and I'll get working on that detailed testing video as soon as possible.
So let me get through this setup, and we'll check the screen, responsiveness, and I'll load up. One of my YouTube videos to test out the speakers, so I'll keep it simple, and we'll probably end it after that. But I just wanted to say that this tablet feels really nice in the hands. It's 8.7 inch design fits perfectly in mine and I have average sized hands. So this definitely can be gripped by most people.
So far, the screen resolution is average, it's not the best, but I've seen worse, and I'll start off with this cheap tablet. Pen and you can see the MediaTek processor kind of struggling to swipe down from the top. So hopefully after this warms up just a bit that clears up later on and I think there's a few files trying to update in the background as well too. So hopefully it can multitask a little better, but I will be testing this thing out pretty hard for the next few days or a week or so, but using my fingers, it's pretty responsive, it's touching all the icons and everything is working and clicking and going okay. Let me try to type in my YouTube, handle right here just to see how smooth it is.
Let me spell it correctly, at least so: wow VJ's LTR, so the keyboard responds nicely. Let me get a video loaded up, and we'll try out the speakers. So, as I navigate around my YouTube page click my face: it's loading up pretty quickly. My Wi-Fi isn't the best, so that could affect that as well too, but going from tab to tab. Everything seems to be transitioning nicely, I'm not too sure which video to pick, but let me just click on this creative labs' headset.
So, let's take a listen to my channel. The nice people at creative sent over this super x5 air, gamer, hybrid headset, to my channel for a review. So I've actually had my eye on this thing for a little while, so I couldn't refuse and accept it to review it from the start, though, to be transparent. This is the most expensive headset that I've ever featured on my channel, and it retails for 150 dollars. Also, this is going to be a little longer than my usual videos, because I test this thing extensively, and I have time for a budget tablet.
These speakers sound perfect, but I guess that's it for now and for those who want to see an extensive testing video, let me know in the comments or contact me on Instagram or discord, and I'll get working on that as soon as possible. With that, I hope that you all enjoyed this video I'll leave a link down below for those who want to see it on Best Buy's website other than that feel free to check out these other videos.
