Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, Camera Comparison, Canon M50 (75-300mm), Gopro 8 At 50yd 100yd 372yd

Hello and welcome to the famous shames experience- and my name is jams Grady, and today we're going to do a review on the camera on the new phone I just bought and most of the recording that I will be doing will be done with this camera, and it is the uh new Samsung Galaxy 21 um. I forget the specific model of my phone, but Samsung Galaxy like s21 plus, so it's got a bunch of different lenses and all that fancy stuff and um. Right now I am using the uh camera mode, so not the selfie mode. So I'm using the uh the wide angle mode so like the zoom is.06. So it's zoomed out a little anyways, I'm going to show you the other lenses that I have to compare the Samsung Galaxy 21 with um. So I have a canon m50 right there, canon m50 um.

It is a mirrorless camera um. It's also known as a vlogger, camera and um. When you have a mirrored camera and in a mirrorless camera, you can't quite use the same lenses because of the uh difference in length. So if you have a mirrorless camera, you have to buy an adapter, which is that which is that thing to use the lenses from the um mirrored cameras so um I owned a ti rebel six before owning the m50 canon and so with the adapter. I was able to use the lenses from that previous camera and then the other camera that I will be using just for fun is the GoPro 8 um.

I saw it on sale at Costco, so I bought it but um. This is the camera that I do most of my recording in um whenever I'm sharing, or I'm out on an adventure and then the second camera that I used most is my phone camera, which is what I'm using right here right now. So the plan is to uh you take some video, take some pictures, um at 50 yards 100 yards and then, however far I can go out and um. I don't know how far that is yet so further ado without further ado, lets uh get this going. This is the first camera, which is the canon m50 with a 75 by 300 lens and so right.

Now it's on 100 millimeters, which is the times two zoom. So here's what it looks like, and then we're going to go to 200 millimeters, which is about times four. So this is um 200 millimeters, which is about times four. So this is times four and then now for the last one. This will be 300, so all the way zoomed in there we go.

So this is a 300, so those holes on that target. It is 22 LLR rounds. So I'm a pretty small bullet, not gonna, be blasting huge holes and um there. You go all right. So this is the Samsung Galaxy 21 at one times the zoom with the camera.

Now this is 1.5. Now this is two now this is two times, and now we're going to be going to uh four. Now this is four times and then with the camera, you can do an additional 10 and then 20. So then, with the camera, we're going to zoom in here to 10. , so there's 10.

, now, here's 20. ! So again, those are 22 LR rounds in that target there. So not entirely large and the lines on that camera or on the target are about one inch. Apart, going left to right and one and a half inches apart going up and down so the camera and the photo options on this phone um, they do have different zooms. So I will be taking pictures of the camera at the different zooms here, all right, so here's the GoPro 8 at 50 yards um.

I can't tell on this camera because the screen is pretty small. If you can see the target or not, but I'm pretty sure you can and now this is the GoPro eight again at 50 yards with the zoom times two. There we go, and I'm just throwing in the gold pro 8 here, because this is the camera that I use the most all right now. This is the canon m50 with the uh 75 by 300 millimeter lens, and this is at 100, millimeters or two times the power, and now we're going to go to 200 there we go 200 times the power, and now we're going to go to 300. There you go so now we, so this is the canon m50 with a 300 millimeter lens zoomed out all the way at 100 yards there well I'll, adjust that there we go all right now.

This is the galaxy 21 and this is uh recording at one times the power. This is two times the zoom here now we're going to go to four times the zoom. Now this is four times the zoom, and now we're going to go to six timed. Now this is six times the zoom, with the camera, with the phone with the phone camera, and now this is going to be 10, 10 10 times the zoom with the camera and then now 20. Again.

This is 20 times with the foam camera, the galaxy s21 at 100 yards, and we'll do the pictures the photos next, the GoPro 8 at 100 yards. I don't know if you can see that target anymore, because I can't on the small screen right now. This is the GoPro at two times the power at 100 yards look at those cows all right, so I am the furthest possible point away. I can be there's a fence right there from uh, where my um targeted to set up all the way down there, so how I've been measuring the distance is with the rangefinder, the uh, the Nikon monarch here. So let's just see about how far away we are about 372 yards.

So now we're going to see how the cameras do at 372 yards all right. This is the canon m50 at 372 yards. You can barely see that target on this screen. Here there we go they're going to zoom up to 200 millimeters, so there it is, and then now 300 millimeters right, oh yeah. I can see that target now, so this is at 372 yards with the canon m50 with a 75 to 300 millimeter camera lenses.

So here's the Samsung Galaxy s21 and here is two times oops. Sorry, and here is's two times the zoom. Then now here is four times: here's that target now here is six. Now we're going to go to ten there we go I'm current. I am now using a tripod, so here is 10 and now here is 20.

, so here's 20 times the zoom, so the camera's trying to stay focused here at 372 yards now. Here's the GoPro 8 at 372 yards, the GoPro 8 at 372 yards times, two magnification. I don't know if you can see that target with that with the GoPro, it's pretty cold outside it's about negative nope, it's about 10 degrees, yeah, all right, so I've switched to a fourth camera. Actually, just for this last part, here um with this uh last segment of video, I'm using I'm using my old phone, the uh galaxy 8 note anyways uh here are the cameras, the canon m50, the GoPro eight and the uh Samsung Galaxy s 21 with the older uh box phone case on it. If your phone is buffering when you're watching this you might, you might not be able to see the main differences between the camera lenses, as somebody who's continuously uploading videos to YouTube.

I'm always looking at uh different ways on how I can improve uh my uh video quality in my song quality, so um, I kind of went through all the cameras that I use. I do use a external mic, sometimes but um it's kind of a hassle trying to use the external mic with the GoPro so but anyways I'll talk about the price points on these cameras, real quick, so the canon m50 here when I bought it. It was about 750 bucks, so it was, it was pretty new still and it, and it came with a lens but um. I don't know what these lenses go for. I think it's about 300 bucks, but they're from my old, my old camera, and then, if you, if, if and if you're, going to use a lens that um that isn't a mirrorless lens, you need to buy the adapter here and uh by the adapter that allows the phone to communicate with the lens.

That way. When you take the pictures or take the video um, the camera knows uh what lens you're, using what focus point you're at and whatnot and with the GoPro 8, so the GoPro 9 came out, which is about 400 bucks or something like that, so the GoPro 8 right now it's about 300 bucks give or take around there and um uh. I thought there was a pretty big jump from the 758. They changed the camera a little the dimensions a little and um. They invented something new called mods.

So mods are things that you put around the camera with the GoPro 7 6 and 5. You had to buy an external, an adapter to use in an external mic, but with the eight and nine you just use like a different mod or something like that, and then last but not least, the Samsung Galaxy um, the Samsung Galaxy s21, so uh this phone right off the bat, I think, is 1200 bucks 1300. Depending on the model, you get the model with more memory or less memory. I got the one with the smallest amount of memory, 128 gigs, so the galaxy 8 note that I'm using to record this right now, I think, has only 56 gigs on it or 52. I don't know the numbers, but that was more than enough uh data for me, anyways to record videos, get it off my phone onto my laptop, and then I'd go back and delete those videos but uh yeah.

It's uh, it's not cheap, but I am thoroughly amazed with the camera on this phone. You know my first thought was like heck, but I couldn't even need those cameras anymore, the canon m50, because their phone cameras would be just as good, but I don't know if we're there just yet, but these are pretty dang good. You can check out these items in the description below and if you found that video helpful, please like it and if you explore my channel and enjoy its content, please subscribe, and thanks for watching, and it's really, really cold outside.
