Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G First Impressions!

So yesterday we covered the galaxy s21 5g, and today we're going to look at our first impressions of the galaxy s21 ultra 5g. Now. The first thing I want to mention here is that if you didn't know this, video is being recorded on the s21 5g, so you can get an idea of what that camera does look like, but my first impressions when I pulled this out of the box. First, we're not doing the unboxing for this one, because it's basically just a charger in there and a sim card tool. What you really came here for is the phone anyway. My first impressions were I'm getting note, 20 ultra vibes over here for the s21 ultra, but definitely bringing it to the s line.

Now I will say that, for some reason, this phone feels even more premium than that one, but only slightly not by a lot, but it does have an aluminum frame. The phone does have this beautiful textured phantom black on the rear, and I'm so happy. I went with this color. It looks super professional when you put it next to like your camera lenses, your camera gear. If you do photography and videography, if you don't still, if you got a wallet, or you got something, that's black, it's going to look spotless with it.

Also, Samsung threw in a nice bundle, so I got the Galaxy Buds pro with this. In addition, I did get the s pen case which we're going to talk about how this works with the galaxy s 21 ultra in this first impressions, video, but yes, heavy solid, luxurious lavish premium, whatever you want to call it any name in the book. This phone right here is going to feel that way it just feels rich. It feels beautiful. It feels like every dollar you paid for it.

So Samsung's saying here. If you want the best of the best you're going to pay, but at least we're gonna, give it to you here with this phone they're, making it very clear that the s21 5g and the s21 5g plus are not the most premium of their phones because they took out the have plastic bags. They don't have this really solid. Vitus glass- and they just don't feel the same, so this one right here is top dog. That's the first impressions I got of this phone right from the get second thing I kept thinking about was how nice this matte texture is, or this textured glass is on both the camera housing and the back.

I just remember back in the day when this phone, when the Samsung phones used to get really fingerprints all over the back of it. They were beautiful glass phones, but this is so clean. It just stays clean, and I think you're not going to have an issue at all with this, especially for those people just want to put a screen protector on and rock the phone. The way it was intended, the way it was made. You will really like this right here, okay guys, so the next thing I was looking at was the button placement and the button placement is in a good location, the fingerprint sensor in display this thing is super accurate.

Now it didn't set up the fastest I've ever seen, but when you do tap it this thing every time it just nails it. This is a very accurate fingerprint sensor and then, above here the volume rocker might be a little of a stretch for some people, but I think it's in a pretty good location. I think Samsung could bring this down a little if they wanted to kind of match how, in one UI things come way down to the bottom, they could bring this power button down a bit and the volume marker down just a bit for these larger phones being more one-handable, but other than that. This phone has been pretty, pretty much feeling like a boss. So far, I have to say that the next thing I started getting an impression of was how this one has a slight curve on the edge.

Reminds me more of the s20 series, and it kind of gives me the impression that Samsung is trying to say here. The premium phone is the one with the curve the less premium ones are. The flat displays that's kind of what I was thinking when I thought about this, for some people they won't like that, but I will state that this curve is very subtle. So it's not! It almost feels like a flat display. It doesn't really have any accidental presses anything like that.

So I don't think it's going to be a big issue, but that's kind of what I was getting an impression was that you know this is the premium phone you get the curves on this one, okay guys. So the next thing I was thinking about with this first impressions over this past around 24 hours is the speed of this phone like how fast is it going to be, and you know what you don't really see a difference between this and an 865 phone to be quite fair. This is an 888. It will enable faster, 5g and overall, better performance, but I think the average user won't really be taking advantage of most of that. But it's nice to know it will be performing like a champ for basically the duration of your ownership of this phone.

I will state, though, that the one UI 3.1 does feel smoother than prior one UI versions, and it does a better job at holding things in memory. I really do love this one UI three. It really does clean up what used to be a little of a messier looking Samsung interface so definitely do like it, and it brings all the advanced features. You're waiting for we'll save that stuff for the full review, but first impressions, 120, hertz, who mode, full HD. It doesn't matter which one you're on it is a boss.

It's a boss and speed you can see. I cannot get this he's just not going to lag. This is not 2010. This is not 2012. You're not going to lag.

These phones up. Okay. So let's take a look at the software here. First, I want to mention look at these wallpapers they're, just some beautiful wallpapers on this phone. I know it's not the biggest deal in the world, but definitely very nice wallpapers.

I feel like the software is more related to the one UI versus the Samsung s21 ultra itself. Most of these features can be found in other Samsung phones. You got the DEX mode. This is kind of new the comfort shield, it's kind of like a blue light filter where you can tweak the color temperature to your liking. I really found it very useful.

Last night, when I was falling asleep, this phone really helped me get to sleep quicker versus be on my phone all night because of that eye comfort shield. Now I will say that if we go in the settings here, you will find the same array of features you're used to from before. But there should be an s pen feature in here, because there is an s pen, compatibility on this phone see right here, because there is an s pen, compatibility on this phone, so you can see right here. You will have some s pen features that you do get with the Galaxy Note and by the way, since we're talking about the software right now, let's talk about that as pen. Now you got to get this kind of case that goes with it, and it does make the phone a little wide here, but I'll take it because it gives you some good grip.

It makes it kind of feel like a journal, and I actually love this new s. Pen that comes with this phone. Look, how big this s pen is. It feels more like a traditional pen. It still has the button right here, and you get all those same features.

You'll typically find with the Galaxy Note 20 ultra over here, so you got the create note view all notes: smart select, screen right, live message, it's all here, and it all works fantastic. I actually found it easier to write with this than I did on the Galaxy Note, because the pen is larger. So if you want something that feels more like a traditional pen, this is going to be the option for you: galaxy s20, ultra yeah, it's kind of hard to write behind camera, but you get the gist very nice pen here, and also you could use this more like a traditional mouse by just hovering over things swiping through the UI. This is a very useful tool right here if you're signing documents- and things like that, I could see this being very useful, so my first impressions so far on that are pretty a1. I really do love it and if you want an s phone, or you like the looks of the s phone, you don't like the looks of the note phone, but you wanted to use an s pen.

This is going to be excellent for you, okay, guys. So summing up the software one UI 3.1. We also have refinement, refined software refined hardware, and it should be updated for a long time. It does have s pen compatibility. This is what separates it from the other Samsung s, phones, but talking about the cameras, OMG 108 megapixel sensor makes its return, but now with autofocus that you can count on laser autofocus.

So that's going to be very nice. In addition, we have a 12 megapixel ultra-wide. We also have two 10 megapixel telephotos right here. One can do like 10x, the other one can do like 100x space zoom. It's insane.

This phone is mind-blowing, there's so many cameras. I don't even know if I got all the specs right. It's just mind-blowing, there's just so much going on here when you open this up, Samsung's, making it clear. We have the most options on our phone. Usually you'll see three options to zoom right here.

You have one two, three four different options: you could change between point x, standard one. You can go 3x here, you can go 4x, 10x 30x, but this one will take you 10x optical. What a beauty this thing can do. Basically anything your mind can think of. If we go over here to video, let's click video.

I was clicking the wrong button. You can see up here. They move the video settings right here, so you don't have to go digging around in your phone they're all right here, front and center UHD. You can go 4k 60. This can also do up to 8k over there.

I'm not really going to be using that much, but I will be using the 4k 60. You have full HD and then over here you can see. We do have ourselves 16 by nine all the pro modes. You will need super steady if you're like this. This phone video is just way too shaky for my style.

If we go over here to more look at all these modes, here's a new one director's view where you can kind of see what person's doing over here on the front and see the back ankle. Now there were apps that could do that before. But it's nice that it's right here in the camera, you can see slow motion portrait food AR doodle. I missed the Instagram mode. I don't see that here, but that's not here for this one, but you could see.

Look at all everything you want on a phone it's here. Do we have to talk much more about this? My first impressions are yeah that that thing I'm doing right there that emoji mind blown that's my first impressions on this camera. Just because there's so much going on! You could back out that front angle wide. You can also do front facing video up to 4k 60 again, so we're not seeing the 8k on the front, but still 4k.60 is plenty enough for front-facing video, I'm gonna just shut up. Now take a look at some of the samples I took on my first impressions: it's not going to be everything, it's just going to be a few but check them out and let me know your thoughts all right guys.

So here's a quick first impression of the front-facing video UHD 30. , I can tell you it looks pretty stable and uh the audio that comes out of it is also quite nice as well. So let me know your thoughts on s21 ultra when it comes to that front-facing, video, okay, so we're on a walk here. Taking a quick look at that rear-facing video UHD, no super steady. This is kind of how it will perform here looks pretty fantastic.

Let me know your thoughts down below. So, let's listen to the audio, very full sounding. We don't need to cover it 100 percent here, but my first impressions are it's full sounding adobe Atmos we've been having this for a while, and it's no different here now storage. I went with the 128 gig because I like to transfer stuff off my phone and put it onto the computer, but if you need more space, you can get this thing in 5 12. I think there's even a one terabyte option, if I'm not mistaken, but no expandable memory.

If you want to know how I feel about this, I think for certain people this is going to be super annoying because they might have a lot of content on their older SD card. I actually have one in my note and I loved every time I got a new Samsung. I could just take my photos and throw it on the new phone. Furthermore, I don't really like how I got to build up a new library of photos now on this one, because it's all going to be on this internal SSD, but really, I think, over time you probably will get used to it. But for me, I'm okay with it, because external drives are pretty cheap today, so you can just kind of transfer your stuff off, but it is a little of a headache.

So let me know your thought about the removal of the micro SD card, and you're probably wondering kid to the battery nick talk about the battery. This phone's got a massive 5000 how's it doing well. Samsung phones take a few days to actually get used to how you use it to get the best battery life learning usage patterns. You could see right there, so I can't give a hundred percent right now, but it's draining similar to like what the note 20 ultra did. Basically, it will get through a full day.

I hopefully it'll get through two days, but I'm gonna wait to see how it does in the future as it learns my usage patterns, if it can make it two days, but for now I'm going to say around a full day of pretty good usage, and so that's about it. I mean we could talk about phone call quality, but it's excellent. We have 5g Qualcomm, so we're not going to have an issue there. Okay, so we're at the end of this video. Let me give you my final take on this phone.

It's an absolute boss on first impressions. I don't even to use it like more than a week, and I already can tell you just in the last 24 hours. I can already tell you this phone is going to be one of the best of the year. It might be the best and the year just got started. Let me know how the s21 did here on its camera.

This is the 3x zoom right here, but the showstoppers here, I think, are just to look at this black color, the texture of the back, giving the design a more premium feel and the cameras are really killing it. Usually you're used to having a really bright, beautiful display from Samsung phone. So that's not really a big change, but it's really these cameras seeing major improvements over the s20 ultra. In addition to that, getting the more premium looking build so definitely like that some people are going to be annoyed by the remover of the SD card and remove the charger in the box. But if you, if you order this on samsung.

com, sometimes you will get the charger as an incentive anyway so thumbs up. If you enjoyed my first impressions- and let me know what else you want to see going for, we will be having the comparisons coming soon, but I was just so excited to talk about this and give my first thoughts on it. So thank you very much for watching subscribe. If you haven't already, and I'll catch you on the next one nick here and peace.
