Samsung Galaxy S20 Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 9! (Comparison) (Review)

Well everyone we're going to be doing another Samsung, Galaxy, S, 20 comparison and the phone were comparing it to against, is actually kind of sad, because it's actually the last version of software that is going to be on. Unless Samsung takes the approach and the initiative to actually change up their lifecycle, their software and if they don't, then the Samsung Galaxy Note is pretty much done for which is so sad. So hopefully Samsung can change it and change it up, and I'll talk about later in this video, but we're going to be looking at the Samsung Galaxy S 20 and comparing it to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and seeing which one you should pick up in 2020 now. Obviously the Samsung Galaxy S 20 is the better phone in every single way. Well, almost every single way, there's a couple advantages for the no nine, if I'm being honest, but that's 20. If you have all the money in the world pick it up, you know there's really no point in picking up a no nine.

If you have the option to pick up the s20, but for those owners who own the note 9 or for people who just want to save some money, the no 9 is still a viable option for a lot of people and the main thing probably would be the price tag. You know the Samsung Galaxy has 20 right now is costing you know a thousand dollars even more than that, including the text and everything. Now that price will probably go down over time, but as of right now, that's pretty much where we're standing with. However, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has been up for a minute now. You know that phone came out in 2018, and it's not the newest phone anymore, but it hasn't really aged that much.

You know it still feels like a pretty premium phone and that phone is selling for about three hundred and sixty-five dollars on Amazon right in the hill, which is a humongous decrease in price and depreciation that we've seen since the beginning of the galaxy. No nines price released. I think that thing was costing about 89 or 999 when it first came out and now this thing is costing less than $400. So if you want to pick up either these phones for the prices that I just said, I'll leave both link down to the description below you can get them from Amazon and help support the channel at the same time. But looking at both phones on the front, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was released with a six point.

Four inch Super AMOLED display it is a 1440p panel with 516 pixels per inch and overall I mean I'll. Tell you it's a very good panel like there's, really nothing in me. That tells me that, like it's outdated or that it's ugly, or it's this or that it's a very capable panel at the end of the day- and you know some people might complain about the bezel on the top and bottom, but I'm telling you in a real world use whenever you're, using it day by day, you're not going to notice that big of a difference like it's a very capable phone at the end of the day. It can really do anything you throw and any others times when I wish. You know.

Oh, I wish there was like a better screen on this thing or whatever, but at the end of the day like it's, not that big of a deal, and it's a very good panel I- think it's even still better than like the Galaxy Note 10.1, a 1080p display and I think it's better than the iPhone 11 pros panel -. So the no nines display is still very good. There's really nothing to complain about it. There wears on the Samsung Galaxy S 20 that one has a 6.2 inch dynamic, AMOLED display. It is a 1440p panel as well and obviously there's a lot special on it, and that panel looks far better.

In my opinion, of the no nines in terms of the way the whole body looks there's a little of bezel on the top and bottom but other than that you're pretty much just staring at screen and the s20 definitely looks better than the Galaxy Note 9, with the biggest advantage for the Samsung Galaxy s.20 would be that new edition of that 120 Hertz refresh rate on that display. That's definitely one of the coolest features ever, and you have that capability on the Samsung Galaxy s 20, but you do not have that on the Samsung Galaxy note 9, and you honestly don't have it on many other Android phones either. So that is a cool advantage that you have on the Samsung Galaxy s 20 and in terms of the display. That is a really cool thing that the s 20 can do the Samsung Galaxy note.9 cannot do so in terms of the display. I'll probably give the edge to the s 20 for this one for sure, but the no nines the way it looks, is still perfect on the bottom.

You have USB type-c ports on both. However, you do have the headphone jack on the Samsung Galaxy note 9, which is a really cool thing, but some people might not care about it. I'm on and say like in the middle I, really don't care about it anymore. To be honest on the back, you can see a little of a different styling on both. We have a dual camera setup on the Samsung Galaxy note 9, but a triple camera setup on the Samsung Galaxy s 20.

So a little of difference right there I'll talk about more of those in a second, but I might do a whole dedicated camera test between these, as well as a dedicated speed test between these as well. So if you want to see that you know, leave a like or something I'll probably end up doing it, you have the fingerprint sensor on the back of the Samsung Galaxy note 9, where you have the fingerprint sensor in the built-in display on the s20, which is really, really cool. So you also have IB certification on both phones. Ip68 does some water resistance? You can go up to one and a half meters of water for 30 minutes, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 does have a really cool feature where it has that as pen capability, which a lot of phones in this day and age do have it. Some phones might be like.

Oh, why do I even get it like it's a waste of time, whatever? That is a really cool feature that we have on the Samsung ?, no nine, where the yes 20 does not have it, and it's pretty much just a stylus like I'm sure you all know what the s-pen is now, but it's a really cool little thing and that's a humongous advantage that the note 9 has at the galaxy s.20 just does not have so. Both phones do have micro, SD card slots as well, which is really cool in terms of the outside. That really pretty much covers it. Up now hitting on this software, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 came out with Android 8.1 Oreo we are able to, like I said, get one UI two on it, which is nice I like having that software on this phone and I think it handles it pretty well overall, but the Samsung Galaxy S 20 is on 1uy 2 right now, and it's the first study that ever got and like I said early on in this video, the Samsung Galaxy no 9. This is the last software that is probably going to be getting so by the time next year.

I do this video if I, do an updated comparison between these? The note 9 is pretty much outdated. It's not going to be getting the next version of software unless Samsung pushes the initiative that it should go and support their older phones. We saw with the Galaxy S a Galaxy, s3 + and Galaxy Note 8. Those phones did I, get the next version of software that when you write to update, even though it could have easily supported you know, it's, and I understand Samsung. You know they didn't do it in the past.

So how would they do it now? But that makes more of a reason for them to do it. You know they need to change things up if they want to. You know, gain bigger market share and with the Google Pixel, and you know, there's really not that much competition right now, but I feel like this year. Those falling manufactures OnePlus pixel, all those they're going to starts taking it up a notch, and if Samsung must stay competitive, they're going to have to increase the life cycle of their phones, but regardless the Samsung Galaxy S 20 is going to be lasting longer. So it's just getting started.

It's going to be getting Android 11 in Android 12, and it might get Android. You know 13, who knows maybe well I, guess we'll see what happens, and I guess we'll stay tuned, but in terms of the software I'll definitely tell you. Both phones are very good. You know for the head, but the no 9 is ending its lifecycle to as 20 just getting started, so that really pretty much covers it. Up there now hitting on the performance, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 had the Qualcomm Snapdragon a 45 chipset.

You know, I took where CPU and Arena 630 GPU and there were two different models of the no 9 the base model, with 128 gigs, with 6 Saga bytes of RAM and the top tier model with 512 gigs, with 8 gigabytes of RAM, where the Samsung Galaxy s, 20 has a Qualcomm, snapdragon, 865, chipset and I took core CPU and Arena 650 GPU and there's only one model: the Samsung guy s20, the 128 gig model with 12 gigabytes of RAM. What I can tell you about the performance and just around one quick little thing you have a 512 gave model on the note 9, where you do not have that on s 20, which is really weird: the fact that they did that it's kind of. Why would they decrease? The storage? Has other phones? Well, it makes sense because they want people to upgrade their phones over time, much more frequently or go pick up the S 20 plus and has a bigger storage model. So that's kind of one thing right there, but you have micros card slots on both phones, so in terms of the performance on both phones, I did a little speed test, and you will be able to see that the Samsung Galaxy S 20, pretty much every single time is the faster phone for sure you know, and it's you know it's a given. You know the s.20 is the newest phone. It has the newest chipsets.

It has all these cool little does and whistles. So the note 9 it makes sense why it's not keeping up for the most part, but what I will tell you when this is an extremely important thing to note? Is that right now the s 20 feels like the fastest fall in the world, because it pretty much is it's extremely fast phone, but I compared my s.22 the S 10 recently, and I saw that 10 was super glitchy, and it was being all over. The place and it was pretty slow compared to yes, 20. Actually, that's the two things one. The s 20 is the faster phone it's getting faster over time, but I feel like at the same time the order phones are getting slower faster as well, because last year I was saying these same exact things to my S 10.

When I was doing those comparisons, I was at yes, 10 is so much faster than I, and now it's really not even as fast as I thought, 19 T, iPhone 10 s is probably faster than yes prepend at this point. So what I will tell you was in terms of the performance right now. The S 20 is the faster one, but I don't know how much longer that's going to be keeping up, so I'll. Keep you guys updated on the performance, but between these two, the Samsung Galaxy has 20 is definitely faster. One for sure now hitting on the cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has two 12 megapixel lenses, a 12 megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12 megapixel telephoto lens with a Samsung Galaxy S 20 has a 12 megapixel wide-angle lens at 64, megapixel, telephoto lens and then another 12 megapixel ultra-wide sensor and both cameras do a pretty good job at everything. But definitely the s.20 is the better camera sensor. You have the additional ultra light sensor, which is really nice. Both phones could do 4k at 60 frames, which is really cool, but the biggest advantage and the biggest difference between them is that the Samsung Galaxy s 20 can shoot 8k video on that camera lens, which is insane. You have that type of capability on a phone lines which is awesome and I, don't know any other phone that can do eight videos, you know there's probably one or two out there, but you have that capability.

Only Samsung, Galaxy S 20. We do not have that on the Samsung Galaxy note 9, which is an awesome feature, I love, seeing that in phones and for sure the Samsung Galaxy S 20 has a better camera sensor right there. On the front you have 10 megapixel sensor on the s20 he'd make a pixel sensor on the node 9, and you can do 4k 60 frames on the front of the s20, or you cannot do that on the node 9. You can only do 1440p videos and I'll. Tell you right now.

The Samsung Galaxy has 20, as it has the better camera sensor for sure between both of these phones. But the note 9 still has a pretty decent camera. Overall, you know and like I said, I might do a separate camera test between these, but as of right now, that's pretty much where I feel like and that's how I feel right now, so that pretty much covers up the camera sensor department now ending it off with the battery life. Funny enough. Both these phones have the same 4009 power battery both have wireless charging and everything, and if I had to say, if both phones were brand new, if they had the same exact type of battery power, it would be almost like a tie.

I feel like the note I might have a little of better battery life just because it is under powered and everything. But the main thing and two things I have to consider is the Samsung Galaxy S 20 about 120 yards refresh rate display on I might give the edge to the note 9. But this Samsung Galaxy S 20, has the cool feature of having reverse wireless charging, which is a feature that not many other phones have and at the end of the day, that is a battery feature. So I have to give the benefit of the doubt to the Samsung Galaxy S 20, just because of that reversed wireless charging features. So to kind of sum up the video it's answered, the comparison shouldn't you pick up, the Samsung Galaxy has 20, or should you pick up the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in 2020 I've seen in 2020? This is when the phone came out, and I'll be honest.

You know if you have, you know nine or if you have an older phone, and you want to pick up a no.9 rs.20 about it's. How you broke pick up a Samsung, Galaxy, Note, 9 first and then see the depreciation, go on that and then eventually get the s 20. If you have all the money in the world, obviously pick up an S 20. That makes the perfect sense, but they're still, you know nothing. That really tells me that the s 20 is like the billion times better of a phone, then the no nine, the no nine is still on its software version.

The latest version, which is really nice, but in the future that's going to change. You can also pick up a Samsung Galaxy s, tennis well for about like 400 something dollars, a very, very good, compelling price to pick up a phone for that phone is still completely capable, has a lot of going for it and between the s10 and s.20, there's a couple cool thing for the s20, but yes, and it's still a completely capable phone as well. So if you want to pick up either these phones, that I just said that as 20s 10 or no 9, all those links will be down link in the description below, so that pretty much covers it.
