Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Review: Budget Flagship @ Rs.39,999

This is the Samsung Galaxy as 10 light, it's kind of like last year's flagship, Galaxy S 10, but with some fat trim down priced at 39,000, 999 rupees, it's aimed at people who want to own a flagship device without having to spend a small fortune. Naturally, there are compromises for that lower cost. The s10 light doesn't retain some neat features found in its pricier siblings, like a curved sweet design and last back or even reverse Wireless charge. There's no headphone jack or dual speakers either, and I'm, somewhat okay with the missing headphone jack, because that's becoming somewhat of a common trend in Samsung phones but having a single speaker in the year 2020 and that who owned a flagship level device seems like bit of a letdown. But despite those missing components, don't write off the baby s10 just yet. It offers some impressive specs and in some regards even Trump's, last year's s10, s10 plus and destiny.

It's powered by the Snapdragon 855 chip instead of Samsung's own Enos, 98 xx. Furthermore, it's got a larger six point: seven inch, Super AMOLED screen a beefier, 4500 mAh battery and a camera that packs plenty of megapixels. You get three cameras at the back, including a forty, eight megapixel primary sensor, 12 megapixels, ultra wide-angle sensor and a 5 megapixel macro sensor. Camera performance seems to be in line with Samsung's Galaxy a series instead of the S series, which means for getting a mixed bag. The main camera does well for stills, particularly in bright sunny conditions with good exposures and generally accurate white balance.

Ensuring pleasant pictures, the 48 megapixel shooter also comes with the super. Steady flow is, and it relies on hardware instead of software, to deliver shake free videos and photos. Portrait mode is another positive aspect for the s10 light, as it blurs the background nicely lending a cinematic as tending to picture. Opting for an ultra wide-angle camera on the s10 light may prove popular with those photographers looking to squeeze more into the frame, but it also means there are no talents for improved zoom shots. The macro lens is nice.

If you like, getting up close and personal with bugs and flowers, there's also a dedicated night mode, but I didn't find it to make a significant difference compared to shorts, taken in the standard photo mode. The front camera with its 32 megapixel sensor was okay portrait selfies look nice, but there were edge detection issues and normal selfies didn't always capture accurate colors. You see that shirt I'm wearing in the picture. That's actually supposed to be bright, yellow, like I, said the camera is a mixed bag, but there's a lot of other stuff to like about this fault. For starters, it works a premium looking design and despite sporting, a plastic body, it doesn't come across as cheap.

It's great for gaming too, thanks to the Snapdragon 855 processor and 8gb of RAM, it runs on androids the latest OS Android 10, along with Samsung's 1ui 2.0, which means it's got all the latest software features the battery life along with the 25 watt fast charger is top-notch. The huge 6.7 inch display, although not dynamic AMOLED, is still a brilliant Super AMOLED, and it's perfect for watching high-definition videos, the infinity or notch in the middle is also far less distracting and some U shaped notch phones out there, I'm not gonna, lie to you. I really enjoyed using the S 10 light, but there are concerns that it overlaps with some other s10 phones, especially the s10 II, which may confuse consumers to some extent. Although that being said in Samsung's defense, the company is attempting to bring the S series flagship specs to a larger audience at a lower cost. Instead of spending upwards of seventy thousand rupees on a high-end, smartphone users can make themselves familiar with the flagship experience for less than 40,000 rupees.

Look. Only time will tell if this strategy will pay off, but for now at least it seems the Galaxy S 10 Lite is a very exciting option in its price segment.
