Google Pixel 5a Vs Google Pixel 4a! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back everyone, the pixel 5a and the Pixel 4a are probably going to be one of those two biggest competitors right now and Google will really randomly just drop these phones on us before the 5a. Actually, so, let's go and see how both this compare. These are probably going to be one of the biggest ones. People want to kind of see should they jump from the 4a to the 5a, and I'll tell you probably sure you know. I think these phones are very similar in a couple different ways, but you can see the size of the displays is really easily one of the biggest things. That's different between the two you can see.

The 5a is a much bigger display. Even though there's a lot of similarity, you have a 5.8 inch panel on the Pixel 4a, where you have a 6.3 inch panel on the 5a. Now, if you want to pick up either one of these I'll try to leave the links down below on Amazon, you can get them from there help support the channel. At the same time, you have the same type of design too, although the camera on the foray looks a little bigger. I don't know if it's just me, but maybe it looks a little bigger on here, USB type-c ports on the bottom, pretty much still built out of the same type of plastic material, at least that's what it feels like you know, for the most part and on the back, I've heard the back of this is like metal like coated on something else.

It definitely does feel a little more premium than the 4a, but they both feel almost exactly the same. The 4a definitely feels a little cheaper because it's a plastic material and also the price tag. It is a cheaper phone. You know it's 349 versus the 449 on the 4a on the 5a. So that's a big thing.

You can see the camera sensors as well single camera setup on the iPhone on the pixel single camera setup on the 4a dual camera setup on the 5a which we'll get into in a second fingerprint sensors on the back of both and IP certification. On the 5a as well, it's a pretty cool thing, so that really covers it up. In that standpoint, you know, like I mentioned a lot of similarities between the two, but there's a pretty. I guess there's a minor difference between these two because of the chipset. That means the software between these.

I don't know where they're going to land at is the 4a going to last as long as the 5a. My initial response is probably not, but the 5a has the same chipset as the 4a 5g model, and because the 4a and the 485g model came out around the same time. Would that mean the 4a is going to match the 485g? Because if that's the case, then the 45g should theoretically match the 5a because they have the same chipset. So I guess we'll see what happens in that standpoint. I'm happy between both, though I know the 4a is going to customize support, and I know the 5a is going to get customer support as well.

So I'm happy between both, but I am curious to see what's going to happen in the future, and that makes me curious of what google is going to do with the software between these, because, in my opinion, the 5a is going to outlast the 4a. The 5a is also going to probably be one of the first androids from Google to extend on their live support, so I think that's going to match with the pixel 6 and the 6 pro and all that all those phones, so I guess we'll see what happens there, but that pretty much covers it up on the outside. Now, let's go ahead and do a speed comparison between both these phones. Now, like I mentioned before, the 5a has that Qualcomm snapdragon g chipset, which is about the same thing as the pixel 5 and the Pixel 4a, has that Qualcomm snapdragon 730 g chipset, both of them have six gigs of ram. So let's go and see which one is the faster phone between both of these and there we go every time I take this table out, and I put these phones on it.

It always looks like it's like some type of movie scene, but you can see all the apps are clear on the background four ways right here: five days right here: let's start letting them up. Let's do phone calls three two one, and I don't know what happened there. I think they kind of glitched up on both, so we'll hop out of this one. Let's do play store three two one, and it does look like the 5a is just almost like that much faster than the 4a. It seems like I'm like miscalculating the tapping or something, but it doesn't seem like that's the case so hopping out of this one.

Let's do something like camera321 and there is a pretty big difference between these two, if I'm being completely honest hopping out of this one. Let's get into some of these third party apps that I always have, let's get into temple, run two three two one, and hopefully we don't have any pop-ups, which I'm kind of jinxing it now probably, and you can see the 5a definitely ahead of the foray for sure, and again I don't think it's a crazy humongous deal, but it is something to consider you can see. The 4a was noticeably sore outlet, it kind of looked like they kind of opened up around the same time, which is pretty cool hopping out of this one. Let's get into BFA three two one again the 4a looks like it just takes an extra second for it to register the top, which is kind of interesting. Let's go into Instagram three, two one and again for a split second behind twitter, three, two one and again, four or five, an is faster snake versus blocks.

Three two one and again 5a is faster there, because I don't have here Quizlet three, two one and again 5a is faster. I think we're seeing a trend here, let's get into Netflix what I don't have, and I guess that kind of covers all the apps that I have that are similar between the two. I thought I had a lot more, but I guess that's not the case. Furthermore, I guess we can always go into here and load up some random ones, calculator, three, two one uh kind of the same they're. Actually, not that big of a difference there you can do drive three two one and definitely some similarity.

I think there was more of an issue with the loading speed rather than the actual like hardware itself, and we can end it off with something like settings basic one, three, two one and even in app like settings, you are getting a faster experience on the pixel 5a than on the Pixel 4a. So to kind of sum up the speed comparison, you know, I'm definitely telling you. The pixel 5a is faster than the 4a which isn't really that hard to beat, but, like I mentioned it, has the same. Chipset has the as the pixel 4 a5g. So if you have the 45g, you know you're getting about the same exact thing, which is a big thing to keep in mind so other than that.

That's really all we have to say here now, let's go and hit on the cameras. Now I will make a full separate video hitting on the cameras in more detail. But you know we have a single camera set up on the pixel 4, a dual camera setup on the pixel 5a. You have the wide angle lens on the 4a 12 megapixel 12.2 megapixel sensor. The 5a has that 12 megapixel wide angle lens, which is standard, but then it also has a 16 megapixel ultrawide sensor.

So that's another pretty big thing to keep in mind. You are getting an additional ultrawide sensor on the pixel 5a, which is probably going to be almost exactly the same as something like a pixel 5. As far as I can tell. I don't know if there's 4k 60 here, it doesn't seem like it, but you are getting that ultra-wide camera, which is nice the front, though you're still getting that same. Eight megapixel sensors on both which, in my opinion, I'm kind of more saddened about.

I would love to see you know 4k at 60 on the front of these phones. No pixels have had the opportunity of having 4k 60 yet which that is more of an annoyance than not. So I guess we'll see what happens in the future, but in terms of the camera standpoint that pretty much covers it up here and now comes the ending of the video. Should you go and buy a pixel 5a, or should you go and buy a Pixel 4a? Well, in my opinion, if you already have a Pixel 4a, it may just be worth it for you to just keep this phone for now. In my opinion, and the reason for that is because it is a, it is an upgrade for sure like we mentioned you're, getting a faster phone here and everything like that, but this is still a pretty close phone to the 5a.

I think if the 5a was a 10 out of 10 phones, which it isn't, but just you know for purpose of this video. Let's say it was the Pixel 4a is probably like a seven and a half out of ten, maybe a seven out of ten. It's missing like that ultrawide sensor on the back. It doesn't have as big of a battery as the pixel 5a and that's another huge. You know area where the 5a is just winning at because of that battery size, and also it's smaller.

So some people may not prefer that, and it's not as fast as the 5a and maybe the five it will last longer, but they're very similar to one another. There's a hundred dollar price difference between these two phones, but I do think you know this design. Google did a perfect job with this one in terms of a design standpoint, 350 dollars. It's not that bad of a device for that price tag, and, like I mentioned, if you're in the market- and you want to pick up a phone, the 4a is a perfect choice still, especially if you can get it cheaper than you know that price in the used market, the 5a, is a perfect phone. I think for a lot of people out there.

This is a beautiful looking phone. It has a lot of going for it. It's definitely not perfect. You know the display is still 60hz similar to the 4a, but it is a bigger display which I like, and it has a massive size battery within it as well. So that is another cool advantage that you have on something like a pixel 5a that you don't really have on the foray.

On top of that, it seems to me that this is a pretty fast phone, at least compared to the 4a. Things were almost instantaneous, which is nice. It would have been aided if it had a 90, hertz or 120 hertz refresh rate, but I still think it looks pretty good, and I have very few complaints about this whole entire phone in that standpoint. So when it comes down to both of these, I think the 4a is good. I think the 5b is definitely worth the money, but if you have the opportunity to I mean I would probably wait for the pixel 6 or something like that.

That phone looks like it's going to be a pretty solid phone, which is going to probably be over twice the price of the pixel 5a. So I guess we'll see what happens in the future, but that's really pretty much it if you guys have any other questions or anything. Let me know in the comment section as well hit the like button tell me so much, but definitely hit that subscribe button. More importantly, everything else I love every single one of you guys, hopefully I'll catch you guys in the next video peace out till then you.
