Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G In Cloud Orange And All Original Samsung s20 FE Cases (Fan Edition)

What's up hi everybody and welcome back to the channel today we're going to check out the brand-new fan edition, Samsung Galaxy s20, what they're calling the s20 Fe? This was released around the note 20 line of devices at the end of the year, and it essentially is giving us a s20 experience at a much lower price. The price actually starts at 699, there's only one variant and of course I picked up the coolest color. It is the orange one. We're going to check it out. We're gonna also check out all the original cases that Samsung is selling for this device, and I want to give you guys my impressions of what does it mean to have the second edition of the Fe line be an s line, not another note line like I subscribe of course, and make sure you hit that bell icon so that you're always notified to whenever we have new videos on the channel. As far as the unboxing experience is pretty simple, we got the phone and, of course we got the charger, an USB cable, basically to charge the device no headphones and, of course, uh.

We also get a small sim removable tool, that's included in the box on the top part of the actual case, but again very much a simple, pretty much a standard experience now, and we no longer get the headphones from Samsung, but as far as the actual cases there are three cases that were available at the time of order. These are the three cases we have the silicone cover and, of course, clear standing cover and the SV cover the only one that actually has additional features that are built into them. Unfortunately, we can't use cases from other devices, so let's go ahead and start off with the silicon case. The silicon case provides us that protection and, of course, uh the best way to be able to basically keep our device protected. While we still have some at least uh characteristics of it, we're able to see the orange coloring or the color of our device, depending on the vibe version that you're going to get of course, on the top we get the nice accent kind of orange.

It is a soft material here holds it covers it on all levels and, of course, provides us a little of a lip. That's present there on the top wireless charging and charging normal reverse wireless charging will work normally fine here and again, all the ports at the top are covered. The microphone is open. We have the buttons here on the side as we're getting it and again just looks really nice again the original case from Samsung. This is the silicon case cover for the s20 Fe.

Now. The next case that they have here is a see-through case, but it is definitely a very hard protective case that comes with kickstand, which makes it really nice, but also makes it so that we're able to enjoy the color of our note 20. So putting the device is pretty simple, snaps in and of course provides that extra lip on the side. All the buttons are covered. There is a separation between the camera lenses and the actual backing, so definitely perfect on protection and, of course, for media consumption with the stereo speakers.

This is going to work the best and, of course it just clips back in their shows the color of the device. Of course, whichever version you get and again with the orange color for me specifically, this looks really nice because it makes it so that everybody can see that color and again, very, very now. The s view cover is, of course, the most functional one of all these cases, simple insertion, you just insert it into the device unlock your phone, nothing really much to do on the phone other than just close the screen once you close it, the device automatically recognizes it. It's powered through NFC from the back, so you don't have to worry about anything else. It does provide protection on the actual lens, not as much as the actual heart hard case, the see-through one, but of course just covers it all around.

You can see the color and the accent here on the bottom side, as well as on the bottom. Wireless charging, reverse wireless charging works great and, of course, we have notification, the ability of getting any notification, and if there's too much for one row, it will create multiple rows of notifications for us and, of course, open up the device be able to interact with it, use it close it, and you'll see notifications calls you can answer them and answer directly. The call here, as we have a slight opening or cutout for the earpiece very nice and very simple, and keeps the essence of the actual device. And of course you know, blue on orange is actually not bad. Now that we've covered the actual unboxing and, of course, the cases that are able to be purchased directly from Samsung we're able to actually interact and customize our device, as you saw there, I have the actual, lock screen video, as I usually have, with Dragon Ball, and here we have also a custom wallpaper which I'll talk to you guys a little more in one second, but as far as the specifications, we have a 6.5 inch flat, 1080p 120 hertz display. That is obviously a Samsung standard uh.

What we also get here is a 4500 milliampere battery that is supported with wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. Of course, as well as the fast 25 watt charging, that's included in the box. We have stereo speakers with the earpiece and the bottom firing speaker here. That will give us the ability of having stereo speakers and, of course, enjoy content when we're listening to music, watching movies and so on. Uh.

The other thing that we have here is a 32, megapixel, uh punch, hole, style, camera, that's present here, on the top, and on the back we have a triple uh camera setup, 212, a 12 standard, 12, 12, wide angle and, of course, an 8 megapixel, uh telephoto, and what that means essentially, when we're looking at it, is that this device with the snapdragon 865, with the six gigs of ram and 128 gigs of internal storage, which, by the way, is also expandable via SD card with this slot that we have here at the top, we'll be able to basically perform as good as all the other s20 lines of devices that we saw earlier in 2020. The difference is this is coming in again at 699 dollars and if you trade in a device to it, you'll be able to bring it down under 500, depending on the device that you're upgrading from but overall the experience here is pretty much standard, and again it's a flat display. So there's no curved edges. Although the backing is curved- and this is actually made out of plastic- something to keep in mind is not glass but again all the sensors. Everything else works pretty much the same now under the display setting, we have the ability of turning on dark mode out of the box.

It comes on directly just standard light mode. You can turn it on. You also have the ability of turning on motion smoothness to high as well. Let's keep it under standard 60 frames per second. This is not adaptive.

Like the note 20. This is more again closer to the s20 line where it was basically on or off uh other options. You can go in there and customize. Of course, you can go in there as well under themes to customize your themes in there and install a bunch of different options in there as well. One of the other thing that I really like is the fact that good luck is also supported out of the box.

Now there's a new module that is only currently available on the s20 Fe and that's called wonderland, and that's actually how I was able to do this little wallpaper that we have in the back now. Wonderland enables us to basically create or make custom live action systems, so here wonderland create your own moving wallpaper. Now I created this one with my setup, we're obviously able to go in there and see which ones they have, so you can see right there Alice in Wonderland. They did that one. Those are part of the presets by the way.

There's this cat with the nice little options, and it's pretty standard or pretty simple. You do you select the background, so we'll go ahead, and we'll select an image and, let's say we're going to go ahead with my face. That will recommend it, but you could go with it, and then you can add different, basically practice effects. Those are the different options that you're able to add, and you can go ahead and customize them to your heart's content and the benefit of it is that once you're done, you're able to see this nice image and, of course, add different things. I have leaves flying up and, of course, a little of a sparkle here that goes in, and again you could use them all around theme park, nice, catch, uh, one-handed operations, lighting plus edge touch as well as sound assistant, is all present here and, of course, under the main option.

Here, lock screen a lock star, quick start tasks changer, as you can imagine right there, I'm actually using the new option in here. Uh, obviously something very nice clock face, multi-star and half star home up gives us the ability of customizing our home screen and, of course, doing a bunch of different options beyond the standard one UI launcher. All of these things work great under the camera, as I mentioned to you guys, uh. One of the limitations here is that we do not have 8k capability the same way. We had it with the s20 and that's primarily due to the fact that the main sensor on the back is a 12 megapixel sensor, so 4k 60 frames is going to be the primary benefit on the back.

Sensors and they've also kept it uh to basically be 4k 60 in the front-facing camera as well. Even though we have a 32 megapixel sensor on the front, 4k60 is going to be all around. Obviously we have the options to go to pro video, as well as a live focus video. So if we go into pro video, we have that feature now that enables us to be able to use the microphones on a Bluetooth, headset connect, so definitely very nice, so that's also included single take is in there video stabilization, all the options, but let me go ahead and give you a quick sample of the video capabilities of this device. One of the things we can definitely appreciate about the note 20 Fe is the fact that we can shoot at 4k 60 frames per second on the front-facing camera, which is something that we've come to enjoy from most android devices, specifically Samsung devices uh within 2020.

So definitely very nice, 4k, 60 frames per second on the front and of course 4k 60 on the back and as you can see, 4k 60 frames per second on the back and that's pretty much the maximum we can do, even though we have the 865 but again at about 699 or 5.99, depending if you're able to find it on special, the Fe or the s20. Fe is definitely going to be giving us a good experience. Of course, we have that really nice stabilization, which gives us the ability of actually having that super steady. It does drop the quality of the video, but on the other end it still gives us great stabilized video. As you see there, the video and audio pretty much sounds perfect on this device.

Again, we have stereo speakers on here. As far as the camera capabilities again triple cameras in the back, we have a 12 standard, 12, wide angle and an 8 telephoto and a 32 megapixel on the front, and I'm showing you guys right now with some of these images, you can see basically how this performs, and it is surprisingly quite well again. It's learning a lot from the s20 line, as this is essentially intended to be more of a fan, edition version of that line of devices before we get into the audio test. I do want to mention. We do have Dolby Atmos, so I'm able to jump in here, customize it between auto movies, music or voice, depending on your personal experience, the other thing, obviously we're going to go ahead and play Alex cried.

This is my favorite song on NCS, essentially a non-copyrighted song, and we'll go ahead and see how the audio performance is on the brand new s20 Fe. Something to be said on this. The volume on this can definitely get very loud. So there's no question that the speakers a sound good but b they also actually can have the ability of going in very, very loud on the actual system. Here I do have to admit that when I heard about the s20 Fe at the end of 2020, I was a little surprised.

We haven't seen a Fe since the note 7 and that device was brought in because of a different circumstance. Obviously, there was a problem with the note 7, and then they fixed that problem, and they needed to sell the existing stock of note 7 line. This is not exactly relating to the s20 line, so this is now the fourth installment of the s20. This is the s20 Fe at the end of 2020. If you're looking for a budget well I'd say a budget friendly version of the s20 line of devices that pretty much started at a thousand dollars, even though with discounts now are a little less you're able to get a pretty good experience with Samsung, with the s20 Fe um, currently actually running in a couple of promotions, with T-Mobile you're able to get one for free.

If you buy one, so that's another even thing, so I think Samsung's really uh pushing the s20 Fe as a more budget-friendly great Samsung experience, uh again from everybody that loves Samsung devices, one UI 2.5 September, 1st security patch update with android 10.0 on it, so hopefully we'll be able to see android 11 after all the betas kind of go through. So the short answer, I think it's a great option. I think, if you're looking to get a Samsung device, but you don't want to pay a thousand dollars for the s20 or even the one higher than that you're not going to be disappointed. It is a 5g device, so obviously you're going to be able to get the know the sub 600 millimeters, wave type of 5g, so T-Mobile and ATT's version of this on T-Mobile. This is going to obviously work the best again buy one, get one free great option.

I personally didn't buy the one from T-Mobile, mostly because I wanted this color. This was one of the few colors that were available only online through Samsung. So just keep something in mind. I'll give you guys a link to both again T-Mobile, and the Samsung website, but if you want those unique colors, there are two special colors that are only available on Samsung's website like and subscribe as usual, and let me know in the comments below what do you think of the brand new special color, the orange color of the galaxy s20 Fe from Samsung. I personally like this one with the c2 case, because, of course it gives me the best protection, but also still showcases, that unique color that we don't see on many devices in 2020 I'll, see you guys in the next video.
