Samsung Galaxy Note 10 vs Note 10 Plus By SuperSaf

- What's up, guys? Saf here on SuperSaf TV. The Samsung Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ are finally official. We've had so many leaks but I've finally had some hands-on time with both of them. In this video, we'll be going through everything you need to know about both of these devices and we'll also be comparing them. So for the first time this year, we do have two Samsung Galaxy Notes. There is the Note10 and there is the Note10+.

Now, as the name suggests, the plus version is the larger version and it also has a larger display, a 6.8-inch display versus the 6.3 inch-display on the Note10. Both displays have dynamic AMOLED technology and are HDR10+ certified. However, there are some key differences. The Note10 has a full HD+ resolution. The Note10+ has a quad HD+ resolution so you are gonna be getting better detail and better sharpness on the Note10+.

Unfortunately, we don't have any high refresh rates like we've seen on lots of the other competition. That's something that I know a lot of guys were hopeful for but we've not got it this time. So overall, although the Note10 is more compact and definitely more comfortable to hold in one hand, you do get a larger and overall better display on the Note10+. Now, this year, Samsung have gone for the Infinity-O design, so that's the punch out. This time, it is in the middle, not on the right-hand side like we had on the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+.

The screen-to-body ratio is very high. It's not completely bezel-less with a popup camera or anything like that but you still do have a very high screen-to-body ratio on both devices. Now for the builds, both have Samsung's traditional glass and metal sandwich so we've got a metal frame with curved glass panels on the front and back and we still have IP68 water and dust resistance so both of them do feel really, really premium in the hand. Now, when it comes to cameras, for the hardware, they are quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10s. So we've got a primary 12 megapixel camera with a variable aperture, F1.5 and F2.4. Then we've got a secondary telephoto camera which is gonna give you two times optical zoom.

This has, this time, an F2.1 aperture so that should let in more light compared to the F2.4 that we had on the S10s. And then we've got a 16-megapixel ultra wide camera with an F2.2 aperture. This is something that I really like on the S10. It's one of my favorites and we now have this on the Note10s. But the Note10+ has an additional fourth camera.

This is what Samsung been calling a depth vision camera. It has an F1.4 aperture. It's gonna help with depth information for your live focus shots. Now, speaking of live focus, both devices can shoot live focus video. So that's the portrait mode in video.

Really interested to check those out and I wanna see how they perform. Of course, we're gonna be doing lots of SuperSaf style camera comparisons. Definitely let me know in the comments below which device you'd like me to compare the Note10+ to first. Now, for the front-facing camera, we have a 10 megapixel front-facing camera with an F2.2 aperture. This also has a live focus mode.

Now, it doesn't have the secondary camera that the S10+ had so it will be interesting to see how well it does live focus. Now, for the internals, both devices are powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip set or Samsung's Exynos 9825. So it is nice that we've got the 9825 but unfortunately we don't have the 855 plus which we were hoping for. For RAM, the Note10 comes with eight gigabytes of RAM and the Note10+ comes with a base of 12 gigabytes of RAM. And we've got 256 gigabytes storage options on both of these as a base with the S10+ going up to 512 gigabytes.

Now, we do have UFS 3.0 storage so this is gonna give you much faster read-and-write speeds on your storage which is really, really good to see. This is something that we've seen on the OnePlus 7 Pro as well as the Samsung Galaxy Fold but we didn't have on the S10 so this should really improve speed and performance. The one thing that I know a lot of you guys are gonna be disappointed about is that the regular Note10 does not have a micro SD card slot. This is something that Samsung has traditionally had on all of their Note devices but we've not got it on the Note10. We do have it on the Note10+.

However, I'm not sure how much people are gonna use that because you already do get a base of 256 going up to 512. So personally for me, it's not gonna be too much of a big deal but it might be for you. Now, moving on to the batteries, the Note10 comes with a 3500mAh battery. The Note10+ comes with a 4300mAh battery. So we've got pretty large batteries on both of these and they both come with fast charging.

We've got 25-watt fast-charging on the Note10. On the Note10+, you can get up to 45 watt fast-charging. So with 25 watt fast-charging, this is the charger that you're gonna have out of the box on both devices. You are gonna be able to go from zero to 100% in roughly about an hour. If you do go for the 45 watt charger which is gonna be sold separately on the Note10+, then you can go from zero to 70% in just 30 minutes so that's some super fast charging.

Of course, we still do have wireless charging as well but the speed has been improved. We have 12-watt fast wireless charging on the Note10 and we have 15-watt fast charging on the Note10+ so that's very fast wireless charging. In comparison, the Note9 had 7.5 watt so this is definitely a big improvement. Both devices also come with Wireless PowerShare so this is where you're gonna be able to use the devices to charge another device wirelessly. And then of course, what separates the Note series from other devices is the fact that it comes with an S Pen.

So we've got some improvements for the S Pen this time around. So as well as the usual stuff which I'm sure a lot of people are used to, such as screen off memos, so that's just being able to take notes on the Always on Display, you have air actions. So on the Note9, you can use the S Pen to take a picture while the Note9 was sitting somewhere else, maybe on a stand or something, but air actions now allow you to do more things with the camera so if you hold the button and do a circle for example, that's gonna zoom in, and if you go anticlockwise, it's gonna zoom out. Going left to right is gonna change modes so it's quite interesting. I'm not sure how much I'll use it.

Even with the timer, I did use it occasionally but I'm not sure how much I'm gonna use some of these other features. We'll definitely see once we have more hands-on time with these. Samsung have also said that they've updated their algorithms for converting handwriting to text so you'll be able to export that into actual Word documents and you'll also be able to search handwritten notes because of that recognition. You've also now got a built-in screen recording feature so not only can you record the screen but you can also have the front-facing camera active. So this should help if you're somebody who's a gamer maybe, and want to record your reactions.

We also have Link to Windows. So this is gonna be a wireless link between Windows on your phone so if you get a text message, this is gonna pop up on your computer screen and you'll be able to access your recent photos as well. Now, in addition to that, we do have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner on both the Note10 and the Note10+ but we no longer have a 3.5mm jack. RIP to the 3.5mm jacks. Samsung, one of the only manufacturers holding on to that and we had it on the Galaxy S devices but it looks like they're finally saying goodbye.

If you are somebody who does find that important, then I'm sure you're gonna be very, very disappointed. The one thing that might make up for losing the 3.5mm jack is the fact that we no longer have a dedicated Bixby button. So you can still access Bixby but this is gonna be on the power button. If you press and hold the power button, you'll be able to activate Bixby but there is not gonna be a separate, dedicated button this time. (Saf cheers) There's also improvements to DeX so now you can connect the Note10 or the Note10+ via USB Type-C to a computer and you're gonna be able to use more of a desktop interface and you also have Adobe Rush optimized for Galaxy so if you are somebody who's into video editing, it looks like Samsung is also taking this quite seriously.

Now, finally, let's talk about pricing and availability. So the Note10 is gonna be starting at $950. The Note10+ is gonna be starting at $1,100. Now, there is gonna be a 5G version available as well of the Note10+. I'm not sure about the pricing of that as yet but these are the base prices you can expect for these new devices.
