Samsung Galaxy A51 VS Samsung Galaxy A22 5G In 2021! Comparison Speed Test, Speakers & PUBG Graphics

What is up guys today we're going to be comparing the galaxy a 22 5g to the a51. I want to talk about these two phones because they're pretty interesting, uh in price. So if you go ahead and actually check out the price of both of these phones, it's kind of like an awkward pricing here because of the specs on both of these phones so uh with the 51 we can get a brand new one for uh 259 and then around I refurbished one for as cheap as 180 to 228, as you can see, and then a new one for 300. With the a22 um. The price is cheaper for a new one, uh just slightly around 236 here and then for the one that I have currently right here with the uh six gigs of ram um. This one is going to be 300 um.

So it's pretty interesting because um the spec difference here so which one is going to be the better one for you or which one is just the better overall phone in general here, alright, so hardware wise, I'm definitely going to give it to the a22. I think this was a fantastic design change here. I absolutely love the matte finish on here. Furthermore, I think it looks way like if you got the know, 236 version, no one is going to know you paid 236 dollars for this phone uh. Both of these phones are, you know, plastic builds and um the a22.

I just love the design on here. It's matte finish, and it's got sort of like that fake, looking metal on here but, like I said, it's all plastic, you got your power button, which acts as a fingerprint scanner works extremely well, and then you have your volume rockers and then your USB type-c headphone jack is on here, and then I just love the camera module setup as well. I just think it's a very good-looking phone, so Samsung's direction, um as far as design wise, I think they've been killing it lately, the a51, even though it's a slightly older phone uh, it still looks very good. It still has a unique look with the psychedelic shifting colors here you can see it all the colors there, and it still looks perfect. It's definitely slimmer than the a22, because it has a smaller battery, which we will talk about, and the a22 is definitely taller as well, and also we got a power button volume, rocker, uh, USB, headphone jack on here as well.

So this is definitely the lighter feeling phone out of the two, but I think they both look good, but definitely I'm going with the a22 as far as design wise here now here is my issue with the a22 Samsung decided to go with a TFT panel on here. It's a 90 hertz display, which is awesome. So it's a silky smooth display it's 1080p 399 for the PPI. The galaxy a51 has a super AMOLED display at 6.5 inches so slightly smaller, and it's also a 1080p display 405 for the PPI. The issue here is viewing angles and color and brightness.

The a51 has a much better display, and it's not even really debatable. If I just look at that, this is where you can see a big difference in screen quality. As far as like the viewing angles uh, you lose a lot of color, and it's just nowhere near as bright as the a51 display and nowhere near as colorful. It's got bigger bezels as well as you can see down below here. You have a water drop notch on here.

Instead of the Sancho that the a51, the a51 is straight up, kills it in as far as display, I think everybody everyone can agree that you have to be much better display on the a51. Now the thing about the galaxy a22 5gs display is that you actually have 90 hertz, so believe it or not. The a22 5g actually feels smoother than the a51 uh, so it does feel much smoother. That is one thing that I noticed: uh right off the bat here, uh just scrolling opening applications and stuff. It just feels a super smooth on the a22 5g, as opposed to the a51 not having any type of high refresh rate.

So that is something to take into consideration. But if you're somebody that's watching a lot of videos uh, you want to just have the best display. If that's important to you, the a51 is hands down the better screen here now. Here are your geek bench scores on both of these devices, and you'll be surprised that the a22 5g actually beats the a51 in terms of geek bench scores here, uh, so on the uh 22 we do have, of course, android 11 uh, the MediaTek um 705 g chip, molly g, 57 GPU. You also have micro, SD support on this phone, along with 64 gigs of internal storage, four gigs of ram or the 128 gigs, and six gigs of ram and again that depends on the configuration you go with uh the a51 again we have android 11 on here as well.

We have uh the xenon 96 11 in the Mali g72 GPU. This version is the 64 gig four gigs of ram with micro SD support, but there is also a 128 gig and 6 gigs of ram uh. So you will get slightly better performance, I'm sure, with the higher bumps version. But as you can see um, it is beating it out here. So now, let's actually try to open some applications, see how they perform in the real world.

Here, let's go ahead and let's do the play store, a22. Let's try Pok?mon Go a22 as well. Here: let's try YouTube 851 actually got it there, subway surf a22. So, as you can see, the 822 is not a slow device. It's very fast and, like I said that is one thing to consider.

Uh with this device is the 90 hertz, and it's just overall just feels snappier than the a51 all right guys. So, let's check out PUBG, which one would be better for gaming. Here, let's check out our graphics settings here and on the a51 we have smoke smooth ultra extreme. I mean balance ultra, so we can go all the way up to HDR with the a22. We only have ultra.

We do not have extreme like on the a51 and, as you can see, we can't go up to HDR uh, so the a51 is going to be 100 uh, the better phone for gaming um, mostly because even if you crank the graphics up on the um, if you can't grab this up on the a22, you start to get a lot of lags. So I really wouldn't consider this phone a gaming phone at all compared to the a51. I think it does great. You know at you know the lowest settings uh, but if you're a gamer you're not getting that extreme fps on the a22 here and like I said, if I crank the graphics up, then it does kind of get you kind of get a little of stutter uh here and there sometimes not all the time. It's definitely playable but again, you're just going to have overall the better settings on uh the 51.

Here, it's going to be smoother for you and usually when I create the graphics up here, uh you, you really don't get. You know much lag so if you're a gamer considering you know these two phones you're definitely going with the a51 as far as uh gaming you'll have a much better experience. I want to talk about some additional features as well: uh and starting off with software, so um on the a225g. We are missing, secure, folders, and we are missing your Samsung kids um as well, and it looks like we're missing, screen recording on here as well. So as far as software, you are missing quite a few things here, and I checked in here: it's not here.

Adobe Atmos is still there, and you can see on the a51 uh we do have secure folders screen. Recording is on here. Samsung kids are on here as well. So that is also something to think about. You just have more uh things to play around with as far as feature wise, and then we have our Samsung edge panel on here, and you do not have it on the a22 5g, but you can't download that in the galaxy store um.

So that is what I'm being told, but it's not actually built into the software. So that's also something uh to think about, and also the fingerprint scanner situation. So you have faced unlock, and you also have your fingerprint scanners on both of these phones. But the thing is the a22's. Fingerprint scanner is physical, and it's much faster and to me, I think it's just the overall better experience, even though with some software updates, the a51 fingerprint scanner is definitely uh better, and it works, but its nowhere near as fast and fluid as just having a physical one built into the power button.

Here. Both of these phones have single firing. Speakers let's go ahead and see which one sounds better um. They both pretty much sound, pretty much alike in terms of volume. You have a little more bass with the a51, but it's not by much uh.

So I would say it's pretty much an even playing field as far as speaker quality. It would be nice to have stereo speakers on both these phones, but overall speaker quality. I think it's pretty even alright. So if you're buying these two phones for the cameras, just to give you a flat out straight answer, the a51 has the much better camera. It is not uh comparable uh.

It just has the better camera. Furthermore, it just gets more detail. Uh takes better selfies uh. It just takes overall, better pictures. Every picture I took.

I prefer the a51 camera and that's not to say that the a225g is a bad camera by any means. It's a very good camera and good lighting. But I noticed that I just can't compete with the a51 in terms of just keeping up with white balance and detail, especially with the ultra-wide it just doesn't keep up as well, but again, good camera for the price uh. You do have a 48 megapixel standard on the a22 5 megapixel ultra-wide 2 megapixel depth, uh 1152p, video 8, megapixel selfie shoots in 1080p, and it looks good for what it is and on the a51 you have a 48 megapixel standard, a 12 megapixel ultrawide, a 5 megapixel macro which the a22 is lacking, and then you have a 5 megapixel depth sensor as well.4K, video on the front and back on the a51 and then a 32 megapixel selfie, like I said, if you're looking for the better camera out of the two um just go with the a51, it is overall the better camera hands down here but, like I said they both perform uh very well all right. So the a22 5g is a really great battery chap here.

It's got a 5 000 William battery, as opposed to the 4 000 William battery on the a51, and that's why we saw that that bulkiness and why it's a bit heavier um. It just lasts all day. Furthermore, it's definitely one of those phones. I can easily last you a day two days, the a51. I can easily squeeze a day out of this phone as well.

It's got good battery life, but this one is definitely uh the champ. When it comes to battery life, it just lasts uh. You know much longer than the a51, because you have you know extra thousand Williams here um. So what do you guys? Think? Which phone are you guys going with be sure to? Let me know um. I think these two are pretty interesting, because I like the design on the a22 5g, and I like the 90 hertz on here as well uh.

It seems to be just a little snappier than the a51 2, but the a51's cameras really beat out the a225g here. The screen is also much better on the a51 as well, so those are sort of your pros and cons you have to choose from. I think those are the two essential things, and also gaming is better on the a51 too. So that is pretty much it thanks for watching, and I'll catch. You guys in the next one.
