Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra vs Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Detailed Camera Comparison

Yeah, what's up, everyone welcome to another camera comparison, video, and I think this one is the most requested camera comparison video of this year. Oh, I'm a bit tired because I've been walking for a while. Now, okay, this one is Samsung Galaxy, s21 ultra and this one is Xiaomi mi 11 ultra. I have done some other camera comparison, videos with this Xiaomi mi, 11 ultra, and actually I'm not very fond of Samsung smartphones. So usually I don't do any Samsung smartphone camera comparison, video as you have requested, so I had to buy a Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra. It costs around 1 600 us dollars here in China.

So it is a bit expensive. Let's check the video quality, I'm using the selfie camera of this Xiaomi mi 11 ultra. I could have used that rear camera, but I'm not going to do that, because I think that would be unfair anyway. Let's check the microphone anyway check the microphone which one is working better check, the quality of this front, camera selfie camera video, and if you are not a subscriber, if you find this video helpful, then please subscribe to this channel and also don't forget to click on that like button. Also, please share this video on your social media.

I'm exhausted. Okay, let's flip to rear cameras at the beginning. Let me tell you me: 11 ultra comes with a 5x periscope lens and there is a huge 48 megapixel sensor sitting behind that lens. S21 ultra has a 3x telephoto lens with 10 megapixel sensor and a 10x periscope lens with another 10 megapixel sensor, as these pictures were taken at 5x, s21 ultra grabbed this with that 3x lens and then digitally cropped in. So there should be a difference in performance after cropping in.

Do you see the differences now, a lot of people would say this is unfair to compare a 5x periscope lens with a 3x old-school, telephoto lens? If this is unfair, then comparing 5x periscope lens with 10x periscope lens will also be unfair. Am I right, but we have to do all the comparisons to find the winner among these two here is another 5x zoom image and after cropping in the differences, are even more clearly visible? Do I have to mention? Where are the differences? This is 10x doom native for s21 ultra and here I'm sure a lot of fanboys will bash. This video will bash this channel, but this is truth and truth hurts. This was expected that it would be difficult for a 10 megapixel sensor to compete with a flagship class 48 megapixel sensor. Yes, both have is but aperture of me.11 ultra periscope lenses were better. It is 4.1 versus s21 ultra 4.9. If Xiaomi fans start to think that me 11 ultra is way better than s21 ultra 10x, then it would be a wrong idea.

Actually, a 10x performance jumps back and forth, and there are times when s21 ultra performed better, but the moment we start going forward, I mean more than 10x zoom Xiaomi, me 11 ultra start to process with magic pictures are sharper. With more details and textures structural details, shadow details and tonal contrast. Everything is way better than s21 ultra color. Rendition is very much alike, but overall images at 15, x, 20, x, 25 x, is way better on me, 11 ultra and yes, every upward curve has a downfall and me 11 ultra starts to follow s21 ultra after 25 x and at 30 x, both of the smartphones produced images that I would not use, and I think most of the people would say this is unnecessary marketing thing. Do we really need those 30x, 50x images? Okay, before moving to another lens, these pictures were taken at 30 x and I would say both did quite well because we have tried to take the same photo with a few other smartphones and these two provided the cleanest image of the aircraft.

These are ultra-wide photos and Xiaomi should have won without any issues because it got another 48, megapixel, Sony, mix, 586 sensors, underneath that ultrawide lens, but other than a difference in field of view, white balance and tonal contrast. I don't see any difference, yes check the sky color. Actually it bounces around between me, 11, ultra and s21 ultra, usually s21 ultra goes for a bit flat, color rendition, but mi11 ultra chose to over process sky color with that blue cast, which makes things look creative, but also gives it an artificial flavor in terms of details and textures. Once again, it's neck and neck white balance is sometimes better on me, 11 ultra and sometimes on s21 ultra regular photography is the most important thing for almost all the average users, people open, smartphone camera and start to take photos. Yes, both of these two smartphones have pro mode and in pro mode you can change settings, select different options and then take a photo of your choice, but average people usually uses that auto mode to take photos.

So I have taken all these images in auto mode with auto HDR on AI and scene detection was also enabled 108 megapixel ISO cell hm3 versus 50 megapixel gn2 in real life usage. Things are not that drastic, maybe it's because of the stock camera algorithm of me, 11, ultra or maybe Samsung knows how to get the best out of its own sensor. Anyway. Performance is quite similar, however. Yes, as usual, there are some differences and those are mostly related to personal preferences.

It's not like there are differences that defines quality most of the time. S21 ultra kept a bit of warm tone, it's nothing. If you compare to those iPhone, 12 pro photos, but as me, 11 ultra gone with cool color temperature, which is a bit unusual. S21 ultra photos looks much warm beside this mi 11 ultra photos, considering the ambience and surrounding, I would say, s21 ultra photos are more realistic. Both have enormous details and textures compared to other smartphones.

These are way ahead, but among these two obviously me 11 ultra is slightly ahead of s21. Ultra shadows and midtones are also on a perfect line on me.11 ultra s21 ultra actually tend to go for lower mid-tones and me11 ultra is optimized for higher ambience and vibrancy for starter. That makes a difference, and on top of it, as I have mentioned earlier, white balance and highlights are sometimes different on these two smartphones. As we all know, almost all the smartphones performs great in bright daylight and, as we have already seen, the difference under low light environment, I have decided to take some indoor photos. Yes, these are 10x zoom photos and what you can say I mean I have mentioned earlier.

There is surprise wedding for you, and here it is s21. Ultra just crashed me 11 ultra in indoor zoom photos. I have no explanation for this. I've tried in many places, but s21 ultra zoom capability is just better in indoor environment under low light yeah, even with lower aperture. How can it possible these are indoor photos taken with the main sensor and Xiaomi 11 ultra started to act like a typical Xiaomi smartphone, a bit warm color temperature a bit of saturation and things are different from what it's under bright daylight.

Okay, I must mention that color temperature actually jumps back and forth and there is no trend or clue. On the other hand, color rendition is pretty similar and once again, details and textures are sometimes better on me11, ultra and sometimes better on s21 ultra. Finally, before we move to selfie camera here is another set of zoom photos on the left is 3x2 and on the right, it's 5x2, which one looks better one more time. This is 10x versus 10x2. I know it's difficult to judge.

I will heavily crop in, and here goes a 200 cropped in image, and you are the judge. If you are watching this video in 1080p, then you can find the differences. These videos are recorded at 4k 60 frames per second. Both of these smartphones records. Amazing 4k videos super crisp videos with full of details, but me 11, ultra processed with more details and overall video quality on me, 11 ultra looks better yeah.

Colors are sometimes slightly saturated on me, 11 ultra, I have noticed when sunlight or any other bright light directly hits the lens s21. Ultra exposure goes up or down it's a bit. Frustrating and the whole video either looks underexposed or overexposed other than that. Things are almost the same at 1080p 30 frames per second, but of course it seems. S21 ultra performance on 1080p is better than 4k.

I really don't like how me 11 ultra processed the sky color. It is truly artificial, rather s21, ultra color rendition. This time is far better and true to life me 11 ultra comes with super steady pro mode, and I was running. I didn't even try to hold the smartphone carefully and now, after watching these clips, I am not only happy I mean me.11 ultra did magic. This is actually beyond imagination.

I've recorded with some other smartphones and none could have managed to process with such great stabilization. Don't worry. S21 ultra also had its stabilization enabled me.11 ultra have two different options for selfies, but today we are not going to discuss that rear camera. Selfie photos. These photos are taken with the selfie camera of both the smartphones and Samsung.

S21 ultra wins this battle without any hassle. Yeah me 11, ultra selfie camera is not a bad one, and rather one of the best among any android smartphones, but I don't like that default skin, smoothing effect, along with fair skin tone. Overall. Both of these two smartphones offers very good selfie photos with good details and dynamic range, and everything looks better on that s21 ultra, I know different people have different preferences and I totally respect your preference. If you want to go with that me 11 ultra yes, once again, if we take selfie photos with that me, 11 ultra rear camera setup, then there is no other smartphone that can beat selfie photos of Xiaomi mi 11 ultra.

None of these two smartphones can use telephoto lens for portrait photos and rather depends on the main sensor. This is a bit harsh for anyone thousand dollars: smartphone no 52 millimeter lens no 52, millimeter portrait, it's easy and straight, but by default it applies a 2x digital zoom. For portrait shots I mean both of the smartphones applies. This 2x digital zoom, both produced very good portrait photos with both effect and most of the time edge, detection, edge, cutouts and separation line blend is almost perfect, but things are a bit different because after the first update me, 11 ultra portraits started to create heavy both effect. Yes, default, aperture or f number is suddenly a bit low.

Also, the subject sometimes gets aggressively separated. This wasn't the case at the beginning. We always can change this after we grab the portrait shots, but it's just one issue that I wanted to mention. On the other hand, s21 ultra performance is way better than its predecessors before Samsung used to call it live, focus mode and performance was a bit bizarre. Now they call it portrait mode and not only edge.

Detection is good. It also has managed to reproduce correct, color tone more details on the subject: creamy both effect, but still me 11 ultra has faster autofocused. Most of the time separation line blend comes without any artifacts and color rendition seems a bit better yeah. Maybe it's because s21 ultra has a little white balance issue and sometimes highlights are slightly higher than usual. I would say this is a draw, but I would like to know what do you think? Finally, I know you have been waiting for this nightmare performance of two monsters.

Before I say any other word, I will let you enjoy a few photos in all my camera. Comparison- videos I have mentioned it- I always depend on this d e n s to check night mode photos, details, exposure, noise and shadows. These four are the most important part of a night mode photo, and both of these two smartphones did great. Quite similar performance is really quite similar. We have to do nitpicking to find any differences, and those differences are not always are there like sometimes Samsung s21 ultra is a bit better.

Sometimes me, 11 ultra is a bit better, but there are two things that makes the difference between these two and those two are actually white balance and exposure. Color rendition is again a bit similar white balance on Samsung s21 ultra, sometimes really a bit warm, and sometimes there is a bit of saturation on Xiaomi mi 11 ultra along with higher mid-tones. Both of these two smartphones performs really well so I want to know what do you think? I wish that you have enjoyed this video.
