Samsung Galaxy A12 vs Galaxy A11 | Comparison!

Welcome everyone, my name, is Kevin today I'll be doing that full head-to-head detailed showdown between the new Samsung Galaxy a12 and the Samsung Galaxy a11 that we all know of this comparison will break down all the differences that the newer model has where the budgeting has gone for either device and which will suit you best. We will cover everything that you see in these phone comparison: videos from the photo samples to the speed test, the battery results. What's in the box and everything else you want to know about these phones. Now, as I said in my galaxy a12 review, this phone is no replacement to the galaxy a11. In my opinion, it does, however, make for a good comparison to show what Samsung has prioritized in this year's. Most anticipated budget-friendly phone Samsung has packed both devices with multiple rear lenses, the outscore processors, the helpful biometrics for unlocking and very capable batteries.

Now to start. Let's talk about these displays. The sizes are very similar. Both have a generous screen size spanning over 6 inches. The a12 is a 0.1 inch, larger at 6.5 inches in terms of pixel density and the panel cut. The older a11 takes the win with a hole punch cutout at 268 pixels per inch.

The a12 is not far behind at 264 pixels per inch. Now the perceivable difference between them is, I mean in terms of quality near an existent. They share the same panel technology, which means the colors viewing angles and the brightness are the same. Those colors and the display's brightness are quite good for the price bracket on the rear. A12 has a matted and textured plastic finish now.

It doesn't pick up marks as easily as the a11. So here the device looks cleaner without a case. The a12 has better buttons, they're, more tactile and better feeling, but it's also the thicker and bulkier device of the two. Both phones have the headphone jack, the micro SD card slot for storage expansion, there's also dual sim capability on both and face registered unlock, which takes a 2d image scan of your face to unlock your phone. Since these fingerprint scanners are different from each other.

Here's a side-by-side speed test of unlocking the devices. You really can't notice that much of a difference as for the packaging, here's what I got with my international variants: these phones, both ship with the Samsung earbuds, the short USB to a cable and the two amp wall, adapter. Even with a standard charger powering up the phones from depleted to fully charged up was strikingly fast on both phones. The five thousand William hour battery inside the a12 is the winner here in terms of battery screen on time and general battery use now on moderate use, I was able to get seven and a half hours of screen on time with the a11 and the a12 improves upon that with over nine hours. Now this lower screen on time readout on the galaxy a11 shouldn't, be a dealbreaker if you're looking to save money and pick up this phone, because ultimately, I'm still able to get a full day of use comfortably on a single charge on the galaxy a11.

Now, let's talk about performance and speed. This most of all affects everyday use of your smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy a11 is packing a Qualcomm snapdragon 450 and arena 506 for graphics. The a12 has a power VR graphics unit and the p35 hello chip from MediaTek, which is a lesser known chipmaker than Qualcomm. Both of these phones have continually impressed me with no lag or app crashes.

The boot up test win goes to the a12 by a long shot. The a11 took a lot longer to boot up, and this could be a testament to one UI 2.5, bringing better software optimization to the newer device. As always, I made sure to close all apps in the background or have the same ones open to ensure the most accurate speed test. Now I did these tests a few times over to make sure my results were actually consistent. Now my browser test actually revealed that in most instances, there's a near tie in loading time, but the edge usually went to the a11, my social media apps loaded at the same time again, where YouTube was the exception that the a11 was also faster at opening games showed that yes, some apps do actually load faster on the newer a12, but not by a lot.

So now you can see me fancying that Qualcomm chip inside the a11 was uh kind of justified. I know I talk a lot about gaming in these phone comparison videos, but that's because gaming is a good way to demonstrate graphics, intensive tasks and push these chipsets as far as possible. Neither device experienced any heating issues while playing games. In my experience, here's the surprising thing, though the older a11 allows us to play most games at a higher graphics setting than the a12 does. For example, Call of Duty mobile is limited to the low graphics setting on the a12, whereas on a11 I can comfortably play on the medium setting.

There's no problem. It's not like I'm losing that many frames so here in this aspect, the gaming performance win goes to the a11. It's worth noting that Samsung did not improve the internal storage speed of the galaxy a12 on the a11. Furthermore, it was eMMC, 5.1 speeds and that's remained the same. I already criticized Samsung for this.

In my galaxy a12 review, the galaxy a12 is running one UI version 2.5 and the galaxy a11 is running one UI version 2. As for the practical difference, there is none. Let's shift over to another part of the hardware and talk about the cameras. The a12 has seen some big improvements on that rear camera. In general, the main camera lens has gone from 13 megapixels on the a11 to 48 megapixels on the a12.

In my main camera photo tests. There was a clear winner in terms of detail, sharpness and colors. The a12 pulled off nicer images, of course, all across the board. It's clear to us now that the budgeting they took away from that display went primarily into that main camera lens, as the ultra-wide is still nothing remarkable for the price. In case you were waiting on this.

No, I have not forgotten about the selfie test, either. There's a depth sensing camera on both that's used for the portrait blur effect known as live focus. The fourth lens that is exclusive on the a12 between these two is actually the 2 megapixel macro lens. We don't have 4k video recording on either phone. Instead, the improvement comes in steadier, footage, more detail and nicer colors.

All of this makes the a12s recorded video more usable. Now, personally, if I didn't own either of these phones- and I was going to pick one up- I would not shy away from buying the older a11 now, that's just simply because the main difference between them for me was the cameras and believe me, the a12 still does have the much better camera it's much more usable when it comes to actually putting up photos on social media, but I use my professional camera in that instance, almost all the time anyways in the case of there not being a huge price difference, I would go for the a12, but if again you're, seeing the a11 on a big discount or there's just a big price premium on the a12 right now go for that a11. I think it's nice for the a11 owners to know that their smartphone is still a very strong contender on the market and, if you're buying the a12 now because it's just come out not too long ago. I think this phone is going to be very strong on the market in 2021 and also for a long time to come. That's it for my comparison of these two phones.

I am coming out with a12 versus a02s, that is an even more budget phone. It's actually closer in price to the a11. Now the a02s is going to be really exciting for me personally. So if you want to see that comparison make sure you're subscribed to my channel with the notification bell turned on drop a like on this video and that's all for today. My friends I'll talk to you soon, bye for now.
