Okay guys, so it's finally happening gamers rejoice the phone we've all been waiting for he's. Finally, here dog's newest gaming flagship phone, the ROG phone five has just been launched, and it's already in the house for testing, so the ROG phone five packs some really crazy. Next gen features guys like it's got a superfast 144 hertz, one millisecond AMOLED display on it and keeping that aside, it's one of the very first phones to come powered with snapdragons 888 outscore CPU, guys, that's almost like up to 30 faster than snapdragon 865 and comes with 18 GB ram on select models. Keeping that aside, it also has some exclusive gaming features as well, and also has some beautiful RGB lighting. Also, on this phone. I'm like super excited guys, so without wasting any more time.

Let's get started with the video all right guys. So here is our much awaited gaming phone, the ROG phone 5 on my desk- and this is how the box packaging looks like. As you can see, it says: ROG phone 5 over here we've got the ROG logo as well in a nice prismatic effect, and the overall box looks pretty nice. It's got that gaming vibe to it. You've got the ROG branding everywhere and, as mentioned before guys, the phone will be launching in three different variants.

One is the regular standard variant which we have right now. The second is a pro model and the third is an ultimate edition, which will be like a limited edition model. Keeping that aside, there is nothing much written on the box, so let's directly get started with the unboxing. So as soon as you unbox it you've got a beautiful comic style artwork on the box packaging manga readers can easily relate to what this is and let me tell you, there's actually a hidden Easter egg inside this box, which I'll tell you at a later part in the video for that you'll have to keep watching it. So on the right side, guys looks like we've got some sort of accessory box, and on top of that, it says for those who dare, let's see what's inside.

So as soon as you open it, you get a sim ejection tool at the top, and inside you've got some stuff looks like we get a sticker pack complete ROG stickers, very nice. Let me just keep it aside and along with that, you get a free aero case in the package, just like the one you get with ROG phone 3, but with slightly updated design entirely made of polycarbonate in a black dotted finish and has ROG branding on it. So keeping that aside, guys, let's see what else we get in the package, so you got a brand new ROG phone 5 at the top in the package, we'll just come back to the phone in a moment. First, let me also show you the accessories that you get in the package. So under this flap you get a 30 watt, hyper charger in the box with a type c port on it and a type c to type c: cable, that's it! These are all the stuff we got in the package.

Now, let's finally check out our much awaited gaming phone, the brand new ROG phone 5 from ASUS, my god, just look at this phone guys. What a beautiful piece of tech ASUS has made a stunning looking phone from our first impressions. So what I'll do is I'll? Just give you a closer look, and we'll have a physical overview and talk about what do we have on all the sites? So, on the front side, you've got a 6.78 inch, full HD, plus AMOLED display that is custom-made by Samsung and the best part is. It supports 144hz, refresh rate with one millisecond response time so going to the top side you can see, it's got a 24 megapixel, selfie camera and an earpiece beside that. This is actually a speaker.

Also. The ROG phone 5, just like the last time, comes with dual front firing speakers for excellent audio experience, while gaming and also guys from my first look, I can definitely tell that the bezels have been quite reduced compared to the previous generation phone. So going to the right side, you got a power button at the center of the phone with nice. Crimson red accents on it and a volume rocker above that very nice quality buttons, and just like the last time you do have these ROG air triggers to the left and right at the top side, and they've been improved. Quite a lot we'll be coming there.

Also in a moment, on the bottom side, you have a type c port and a 3.5 mm. Headphone jack is also there on this phone very nice and on the bottom side, guys you've got a special connector to connect ROG related special gaming accessories. This is the sim card tray. It's a 5g phone right, so it supports NATO sims. There is no micro, SD card expansion, you're only having inbuilt storage.

Well, that's it over here. You've just got some antenna bands, and this is how the phone looks from the back side, my god, I have to tell you. I really like this design. It looks a bit similar to the previous gen, but the design has changed quite a lot, especially on the lower half of the phone guys. It's got this new dot, matrix kind of display with a beautiful RGB ROG logo and the design inspiration is taken from ROG Zephyrus g14 lineup of laptops, guys.

You might have already seen that video on my channel besides this RGB ROG logo, you've got some ROG cyber text as well, that says republic of gamers established, 2006, very nice, beautiful design and, as usual back of the phone is entirely made of gorilla, glass, 3 and on the front side, you've got gorilla glass victim, which is the strongest and the best protection available in the market. Right now, coming to the cameras, it's got a triple camera setup. At the back side, the primary one is a 64 megapixel primary camera that can even shoot.8K video has a 13, megapixel, ultra-wide angle, camera and a 5 megapixel for macro there's also a tiny led flash as well beside the camera setup. So that's it. That was our complete physical overview on this phone.

So what I'll do is I'll just quickly power it on set up the phone and be right back to continue the video. In the meantime, let's talk about the specs, the ROG phone five comes with a 6.78 inch, full HD, plus 1080p AMOLED display that is custom designed by Samsung and has an insanely fast 144hz display with one millisecond response time. If you talk about the CPU, it's got the fastest CPU out there in the market, the snapdragon 888 outscore CPU, that is based on a 5 nanometer process and is almost like 30, faster than the snapdragon 865 ram and ROM configurations. It's available in 8, 128 and 12, plus 256 GB configurations uses LP, ddr5 ram and UFS 3.1 superfast storage. If you talk about the cameras at the back side, it's got a triple camera setup.

The primary one is a 64 megapixel camera that is powered by Sony's imx686 sensor and is capable of shooting 8k video as well. The second one is a 13 megapixel ultra-wide angle, camera and the third one is a 5 megapixel for macros. On the front side, you've got a 24 megapixel selfie camera. If you talk about the battery, it's got a massive 6000mah battery and that to the battery has a different design. Instead of using a single 6000mah battery they're using two 3000mah batteries in a new MMT design, which reduces overall impedance and also reduces the temperature during charging, that is also something pretty awesome and phone also supports 65 watt fast charging as well all right people, I'm back and here's our brand new ROG phone, five completely set up and good to go, and, as you can see, this is how the dog's logo glows in RGB.

It's got a dot matrix kind of design with two LEDs underneath it that beautifully blend and give a gradient kind of RGB effect and build quality of the phone is top-notch, guys excellent, build quality. The back is completely made of glass and the side frame is made of metal it's around like 10.29 mm thick. That is because of the big battery and weighs around like 238 grams, and here you go. This is how the home screen on the ROG phone 5 looks like you've got a beautiful, ROG wallpaper as well, and let me tell you the phone is butter out of the box. I mean just look at those transitions and how fast the phone is superfast, as you might have already known.

This is powered by the best snapdragon CPU out there, the snapdragon 888 outscore CPU, which is almost like 25, faster CPU than the 865, and offers arena 660, which is also like 35, faster than the previous gen GPU. So, let's just quickly open up the settings, and I'll give you a look at that the phone comes with android 11 version out of the box with a custom, ROG UI, just like the previous generation phone. This is basically like a stock android experience. Only guys just have a custom ROG skin on it. That's it.

Everything else is stock. There is no bloatware, nothing on this phone except dog's, armory crate that is used to customize the gaming profiles and tune the performance of the phone. Keeping. That aside, let me also show you what do we have in the display settings over here? As you can see, it supports adaptive brightness night light. We've got visual enhancement options, DC dimming feature is also there, and you can even set the refresh rate from 60 hertz 120, hertz, 144, hertz and there's also an auto mode available on it.

Well, that is pretty much it over here. I guess, and you do have always on display as well on this phone, and you can choose from different available custom clocks from these settings. So these are all the display settings available on it and going down. Let's also check out the themes and wallpapers. Well, there's nothing much over here in the advanced section guys you can customize all you're gaming related features, and you've got some air trigger options.

You can customize air triggers also very easily from here and even set some gestures also from the advanced settings. Well, that is pretty much it. These are all the available settings on it and let me just quickly show you the UI. Also, it's got the same black and orange theme only as the previous generation phone, and this is a system lighting feature guys. I've told you right: it's got that RGB ROG logo.

At the back side, you can completely customize that logo applies almost like eight different lighting effects on it like you can go from static breathing, you got strobing mode available and rainbow mode is also there and plenty of features, and not only that you can even adjust the brightness of that RGB logo, and you can even adjust how speed the effect should change. So it's like completely adjustable guys. So this is what you're getting with the basic standard version of the ROG phone. But if you look at the pro and ultimate editions guys there you're getting something known as ROG vision, which is like a tiny premolar display of its own, and you can offer a lot more than what this RGB ROG logo offers on the regular standard variant. So that's it that was about the system, lighting and RGB configurations on the ROG phone five.

Now, what I'll do is I'll just quickly open up the armory crate app as well and show you how it looks like so here you go. This is how the home screen on the app looks like it's actually divided into like different categories like on the front side. You've got the game library, which shows you all your games on it and in the console section, you can completely customize the performance of this phone change, the performance more depending on the type of work you're doing. It has like around four to five different performance modes, like dynamic, dynamic mode like automatically tunes and optimizes the performance for daily usage, whereas x mode is for ultimate gaming experience, and apart from that, you've got something called as ultra durable and in the advanced settings. You can completely customize as per your requirement, so you know we'll be going in depth and talking more about it in my full review, video guys.

This is just like an unboxing and first impressions, kind of video and wait a second. I completely forgot to tell you about the storage and the different variants available. It's available in 8, plus 128 GB variant and 12, plus 256 GB models. The one we have is the 256 GB variant. The pro and ultimate editions are available in 16 and 18 GB options as well.
